MEM Celebration of Life

Property was very clean and welcoming. My crowd was large enough to require 2 residences, but spent most of the "together" time in this place because of the generous open areas, kitchen facilities, and environment. Outdoor firepit was a hit on cool nights. Smores please.

Great Getaway

This place was perfect for our family on our recent trip to the San Diego area. We had people with varying levels of mobility present and the single story home had an accessible and open layout. The large kitchen was great for family dinners after a day out and about. Overall great stay!

Highland rental

Pool and jacuzzi was great for the kiddos. It was a great place to stay because it was accessible to everything and we didn’t have to spend so much time driving around place to get food/gas/beach. Very spacious area where the kids can play especially on areas with lots of foot traffic without being on the way of the adults. Rooms were all decent size and we all fit comfortably. Beautiful Vacation

We loved the open space, the stove, fireplaces, TV in every bedroom, beautiful kitchen (perfect for large family vacation), close location to so many things to do in Carlsbad and the surrounding area. Close to shopping, groceries, etc. The WiFi was perfect 4 families working off and on remotely while on vacation. Great home, great space. Great that the pool cleaners and the trash service is done for us (that was cool).

Beautiful location

The property was in a great location! Some of the property descriptions prior to booking did say that the pool was heated- after booking, it was confirmed that this wasn’t the case. We were still able to enjoy the pool and we loved the hot tub! Overall, clean and spacious home for our family trip!

Horrible experience. Had major issues and safety concerns. Host and VRBO were non responsive. Issues were never resolved. Take your money and run.

Great home! Great location. Some quirks and minor maintenance issues

Location, view, grounds, interior space. This was a perfect place for a family get together with little ones. Legoland was very close as was some great food options. The view out the front and back was awesome. Some of the family room furniture was worn. Some of the doors squeaked loudly when opening. Some lights were not working. Overall, it was a great place to stay

Fantastic

Beautiful home amazing views property managers were fantastic. Great space only thing was a little bit a Parking trouble getting into the Steep driveway off of the road. Also, beds were a little hard took some getting used to but overall would stay again.

Overall good experience and great location

Beautiful sunsets and vistas great property. Needs some upkeep, attention and love though. Dishwasher falls out of place/isn’t installed properly and doesn’t clean well, jacuzzi was rank and pool are very substandard. We had to clean jacuzzi ourselves and went 2 days unable to use it. Lack of kitchen towels, toilet paper, and the kitchen knives were very subpar fell apart while cutting. The beds were quite decent and the great room accommodates very well. The kids 3-8 aged) loved playing in the yard out front and our weather was perfect. The property is well situated to local attractions and great eating spots locally. It definitely has the potential to be 5 stars but isn’t presently.

A great wedding weekend

Our family enjoyed this spacious home with it’s many amenities and so close to the beach and restaurants in Carlsbad! There was 10 of us and we had plenty of room to spread out with many places to relax. Would definitely recommend this place to family and friends!❤️

Wonderful Wedding Weekend

This property definitely didn’t disappoint!! It was everything and more. Absolutely gorgeous views! The open floor plan was perfect for hosting our family for our sons wedding. The location was close to a grocery store, beach, restaurants, and more. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful home with us.

A Wonderful House

We had all our kids and grandkids with us here for a week and this house was perfect for our needs. Set off the road, quiet, and private. The large, beautiful kitchen was well equipped and enabled us to cook great meals for everyone. The living space is huge and the window panels open on either end to expand the space and let in the cool breeze. Bedrooms were large, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Big front yard for playing ball with the kids. The pool is a good size and clean, though it does need painting and a refresh. The hot tub was popular with our crew and was clean and working perfectly. The firepit was a gathering place on cooler evening. There were puzzles and games for the evening. TVs everywhere that we did not use. A five minute drive to the beach, ten minutes to Legoland. We had a water leak under the fridge and local management responded immediately and was vert professional. The house would benefit from having instructions for the confusing Viking dishwasher, suggestions for local dining, and improved landscaping in the backyard. We all agreed, though, that we’d be happy to stay here again.

Great Location & Classic Rental Property

Perfect location with nearby Starbucks, grocers, restaurants and most importantly the ocean. Extremely clean, ample bedding and towels. Definitely a rental property that has never been lived. It is missing things that a homeowner would have realized. Full length mirror, functional pots/pans, coffee/tea, laundry room sink, and door mats would go a very long way. Not enough hand soap or toilet paper. Toilet paper was enough for 3 days of our 14 day trip. Newly renovated and feels like a home goods store combined with Viking appliances. Dishwasher, washing machine and dryer awesome. Bedrooms are well sized but the bathroom to bedroom ratio tough & one bathroom acting as a mudroom sink/sand area. Entry from the pool goes into the washing dryer area and there is no sink there so the bathroom sink becomes the laundry room sink and drained terribly. Drainage issues existed in all the bathrooms. The pool and hot tub left a ton to be desired! The pool and hot tub were not very clean and although Vacasa responded immediately and sent a pool guy there was no impact from those services. The pool area is outdated with a lot of dirt and un-manicured lawn which causes constant dirt and sand in/near the pool. The hot tub was filthy with murky water and unpleasant. The backyard needs attention which would allow for the pool to be less dirty. Perfect inside, outside needs love, great location and very responsive rental company.

Spring break with extended family

We had a great time in this “party house” with beautiful views and huge great room. It was chilly but my kids still enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We had a nice night cuddling by the outdoor fireplace. Some suggestions for improvement: more paper towels (1 roll for 8 people for 4 days is not enough), napkins, a drying rack, and better quality toilet paper! This is a high end house with high end appliances and fixtures that deserves the best for guests.

Be properly informed...

This is a lovely house with great spaces for entertaining. However, the fine print in the documents received after renting the house would indicate that the total occupancy is limited to 11 - the number that can be accomodated in bed. This puts a real damper on using the house to receive other friends and family who are also in the area. The dip at the junction of the driveway causes cars with a hitch to scrape on entry and exit. The parking area would benefit from paving over an area of dirt above the walkway to minimize tire damage to that area. The living room fireplace needs to be repaired for proper use. There was a leak at the beginning of the gas pipe so that the flame did not propagate along the length of the perforated pipe.

Great home!

Our family of 5 stayed at the property and it was exactly as advertised! Open concept w/ plenty of room to play games and entertain, which was helpful as it rained most of our trip. Very well stocked. Views are better than pictured and close to any needs. Would recommend to others.
