Beach Breakers is named for the crashing surf at the famous Windansea surf break just down the street from this beautifully designed and furnished home that offers upscale indoor/outdoor spaces and So Cal beach living.

Enter on the ground level through a glass-paned Dutch door into the foyer accented with open-beamed ceilings and hardwood flooring. To the left, you can step down to a family room that features sofa seating, a TV, and a foosball table for fun. To your right two bedrooms, each with queen beds, a full bathroom with a tub/shower, and a full-size laundry room,

The second-level living area is open-concept and features vaulted and beamed ceilings, comfortable seating arrangements, a fireplace, and a TV. The adjacent kitchen is nicely appointed and comes with chef’s grade stainless appliances, a breakfast bar, and a dining nook that seats 6. La Cantina-style folding doors bring the outdoors in and open to a view deck with an outdoor dining set and a built-in gas BBQ. The primary bedroom is also on this level and features a king bed, TV, and an ensuite bath with dual sink vanity and a shower.

A spiral staircase leads to the amazing ocean-view rooftop deck. You may find this to be your favorite place in the home, as you can enjoy your morning coffee watching the sun rise over Mt. Soledad to the east and an evening glass of wine as it turns gold over the Pacific Ocean

Located in a highly sought-after coastal La Jolla neighborhood, this home is only 6 houses up from one of the most picturesque beaches in San Diego. Popular activities include beachcombing, surfing, diving, sunbathing, and strolling the beautiful neighborhood. From here, it’s walking distance to local restaurants and 1 mile from the bustling Village of La Jolla with shops, oceanfront dining and museums, and more!

Please note: This home has an adjacent 2nd-floor two-bedroom, two-bath cottage with its own separate entrance off the shared garden walkway. It is available to be rented with this home or separately.

• Furnishings and amenities are subject to change. No refunds are given for any reason unless the home is uninhabitable. Guest ages and plans for use of the home must be approved, and reservations may be declined or canceled at management’s discretion.

The house was gorgeous! So much space. It was very clean and comfy.. The location is amazing. Just a five minute walk to the beach. The garage parking was easy. Absolutely perfect.

Fun get away with the girlfriends

We loved staying in La Jolla. It was close to the beach and amazing restaurants. Check in was easy and the host was easy and quick to communicate. Would definitely plan another trip here.

Tranquility in La Jolla

Perfect stay close to all the great shopping and restaurants, including the beach and ability to walk down and see the seals. Highly recommend.

This home is literally 2 blocks away from the beach! Cute shabby chic beach house with everything you need for your stay! We enjoyed the home so much! We did enjoy the beach too but spent a lot of family time at the house! Beautiful home!!

Gorgeous house, fantastic stay!

This is honestly one of the best short term rental experiences I have had. The house is amazing and I can’t wait to come back. It was just up from the beach, but on a quiet street and still close to all that La Jolla has to offer. The home was very well appointed, comfortable and spotless. Communication with the property management company was excellent and their customer service was top notch. We utilized some concierge services they recommended and it made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Spacious, airy

Location is wonderful....one block+ to beach. Plenty of room for people to be comfortable. Love the upstairs especially with all the light from windows. Kitchen stocked. Phenomenal place

The house was beautiful - beamed ceiling in kitchen/great room, fireplace, huge windows, nice yard, rooftop deck. Very well furnished in all respects. Being 3 blocks from the beach was amazing. Walking along the beach watching surfers while having coffee was pretty cool. Host made check in easy with detailed instructions and follow up. People in neighborhood were nice and friendly. One note - 2 houses up the street a house is being demolished and rebuilt - construction crews start promptly at 7AM.

Nice home with good rooftop

Enjoyed our 5-night February escape from cold weather. The house is a nice design, with multiple balconies. The garage is clean, and easy to access via an outside door at the back of the courtyard. Nice seating options and an umbrella on the rooftop, with a view of the ocean/sunset and all surrounding homes. The beds were very comfortable and clean. Though the furniture in the two living areas is worn, and not very uncomfortable anymore. The kitchen is spacious, with a large fridge and plenty of ice trays. We didn’t notice any dust or dirt, so the home is obviously being cleaned regularly. The showers don’t get super hot or have high pressure, but otherwise were okay. The lawn and courtyard are neatly maintained. There was a bit of construction at houses around us, so some hammering was common, but not bothersome. The walk to the beach is a very short distance down a slight hill. Maybe 150-200 yards, with some great sunsets. Parking was available along the curb in front of the house most of the time.A few small cafes/restaurants are within walking distance, along the bustling main road.

Wonderful Family Friendly Stay for Five

We stayed for five nights with our three young children (under 7) and the house was perfect for our needs with plenty of space and bathrooms for everyone. The location is about a mile from the Cove so less crowded overall and just steps away from Windandsea beach which is a lovely, less crowded beach with fun rocks for the kids to play on. Just a short drive or walk away from the main part of La Jolla and the seals/sea lions. Parking was always available right in front on the street and it was amazing having two available parking spots in the attached garage. The kitchen is a true chef's kitchen with large fridge and range, wine fridge, etc with all dining and cookware that one could possibly need! The home feels very well taken care of though a bit worn (some stains on bedding/furniture, some minor issues in kitchen such as disposal not working well) but overall a wonderful, extremely comfortable and very convenient place for a family to stay. The view from the roof deck is spectacular though the stairs to the roof are not child-friendly. And, although there is another unit attached, there was zero disturbance from the renters of that unit - you hardly notice anyone is there. It was an excellent family-friendly home.

Mixed Feelings

Positives: -Spacious -Comfortable beds -Quiet neighborhood -Convenient parking -Location close to beach, restaurants, grocery, shops -Good lighting -A/C worked -Well-functioning kitchen -Good WiFi -Rooftop deck space lovely Disappointments: -Furniture upholstery, carpets, area rugs, curtains are dirty & in need of cleaning or replacement throughout entire home. Upper living room curtains drag at the floor several inches & show that they have taken up water in the past, as there is a dirt line showing this the bottom 6” of curtain -Upper living room area rug is a tripping hazard at the corner by kitchen, living room & top of stairway. Mitigated this by moving a chair over it to avoid accident -Kitchen/dining window screens & sills dirty. Wished we could’ve opened for fresh air, but that wasn’t healthy to breathe in. -Safety issue: top board of spiral staircase is soft and rotting -Shower door in upper bathroom has dark mold/mildew/gunk on the entire lower frame area -Shower curtain and liner in lower bathroom that the queen rooms share were not clean, especially liner that had calcification/gumminess & in need of replacement -Both lower queen bedroom carpets smelled from pets (cat and dog) -No sheet set with blanket and pillows for sofa sleeper. -House technically sleeps 8, but only 6 sets of towels provided. Was difficult for our family to get ready on our daughter’s wedding day. I can provide photos to property mgmt if you need/want.
