I love this place. Stayed at many place in this location but this one has a great kitchen. Spacious and roomy. Will stay there again. Free parking !! Canât go wrong !
I stay in this building nearly monthly to work in Honolulu. This is the first time I've stayed in this unit. It probably has the poorest equipped kitchen I've ever seen, so don't plan on doing much cooking. The beds, bedding and pillows are cheap and uncomfortable. It needs to be sprayed for bugs. And the toilet ran the entire time I was there.
Needs attention!
Close to the beach, great!
Lack of space for clothing, toiletries, dry food. Bathroom drawers did not open fully - hit molding at about 1.5" open. Half of closet space was locked, remaining space was taken by ironing board, vacuum cleaner and a table lamp. Tenants are supposed to take out trash but no trash bags were supplied beyond what was in the room initially. Only one stool provided to sit at dining bar -- but advertised as suitable for 4 people. Only minimal paper towel was available. We really needed the kitchen, we have multiple food allergies, there were so many obstacles to being able to cook. The unit has not been updated for quite a while. The sliding door to the deck didn't latch well or open easily, the tub dripped constantly, the pocket door in the bathroom was stuck and the fan rattled loudly.
This unit did not look like the listing. The cabinet doors in the kitchen wouldn't shut. There were cockroaches. The hall way leading up to it was very dated and smelled. There are lots of people living full time by this unit. We had 1 roll of toilet paper the entire week, we had to supple our own. The kitchen supplies looked like left overs at a yard sale. The T.V. didn't work through our stay, it wouldn't even turn on. The laundry is down the hall and shared with the entire floor residents and there is no soap supplied or to buy on location. The overall location is one block from the beach, but far enough off that it was sketchy at night. The parking garage was a joke. The spots were tiny and was always so full from other people parking there that didn't stay there. Also, it wasn't circular which means each time you go to see if there's a spot and there's not you have to reverse out which is really fun with a line of cars behind you. The elevators always took at least 5 minutes and packed. There was a broke umbrella and two tattered beach mats at the facility so we ended up buying new boogie boards and mats and left them there.
Overall I would not recommend this condo. These are just the things I am remembering now and I know there were more. My sister stayed in the same building in a different unit and had a completely different experience than I did. Personally though, I will never stay here again.
Words canât express how thankful we are for the help of the property management staff. They turned a very challenging day into celebration with their quick responses, resolution, and professionalism, and made us laugh even. They went beyond the call of duty in helping us with a situation. Will never forget this!
