Our family found this cottage to be ideal for our needs. The cottage is near Empire and Frankfort, and we enjoyed being able to bring our dog to the Esch Road and Empire beaches.
We enjoyed the great location on the lake and the views from the front porch. We enjoyed riding our bikes and fishing in Platte Lake. This is a beautiful area of Michigan and we really enjoyed our stay.
My family and I stayed at the property for the weekend with our two dogs and it was perfect! Still close to the main attractions while feeling remote on the lake.
Cute little house. Owners very friendly! We loved being right on the lake! Shallow sandy bottom was perfect for playing ball with our fur baby! Would love to stay here again!
We loved the location, it was close to everything. The lake was so beautiful, and it was very peaceful. Lots of things to do nearby, including hiking and Sleeping Bear Dunes, lots of different places to stop for Lake Michigan and rock hunting and M22 market for pizza. We definitely will stay there again.

Great location. The sunroom was perfect on the lake. Sandy lake bottom that was fun to walk out in. House was well kept. Beds and couch were firm and a little uncomfortable, but wouldnât stop us from coming back. Worked well to bring our dog with us as well.
We were pleasantly surprised how much this cottage felt like home! Waking up to the sounds of the waves, having the lake breeze flow through the front of the house ... it was just the relaxation we needed!
Pretty good. Great location. Pet friendly. Beds were great. The washer and dryer available to us was top notch. One wish, we wanted to open a lot of windows. A number of the window screens were damaged which allowed a lot of flies inside. So, kept most windows closed. We did bring our own battery powered bug zappers which helped control the flies.
Half of the window blinds were broken, the A/C unit in the second bedroom was broken, tears in the screen door allowed mosquitos to come in, screws holding the metal threshold piece going into the bathroom from the hall were sticking up such that our feet would easily be cut walking in so we put masking tape over them to protect ourselves. One of the kayak paddles was duct taped and broke. Orange stains in the toilet and shower curtain from the strong iron in the water which even stained the white towels orange. It's all too bad because it's a great location on the lake and all it needs is to be cleaned and better maintained.
Sunsets, proximity to the lake(25 feet),beautiful three seasons porch, quiet location , Pretty well appointed and clean. However...The three seasons porch faces directly West. There are no adequate blinds and by 2pm this is a greenhouse/solar furnace and stays that way until well after dark. So sitting out there to enjoy the lake and sunsets is impossible . We tried windows open(worse) ceiling fan (no help)and windows closed(really bad).I love Platte Lake and enjoyed the stay but since you ask!!
