I give this property a solid B-. Super grateful that there are still decent properties to be had when traveling with pets! And to find something with a yard, a/c, strong WiFi, a good kitchen, outdoor living, and parking is not easy in this part of town in peak summer months. The house is very spacious and we were thrilled that it had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable 2-week stay in July. It was really nice to have a nice place that was cheerful and peaceful for our vacation. That said, the property doesn't seem to have been visited by the owners in some time. There are LOTS of things that need attention: damaged screen doors, overgrown vegtation that made it hard to back in/out of driveway, a moldy water fountain, burned-out lightbulbs everywhere, unpainted ceiling cracks, stained sofa pillows (stained everything -- all soft surfaces were rather gross), dusty baseboards, etc. I started alerting owner to all the things that need attention but decided to instead just make her a list and send it later, which is what I'll do. But it just really seems she hasn't set foot on the property in years, otherwise I'd imagine she'd fix all this stuff? Dunno. The beach and the salty air can be really damaging, so I get it. It's a very decent place if you have a pet and can't afford to be picky, though! If we didn't have our dog, however, I would not have been happy with our stay. Too many broken/sloppy/dirty things to feel comfortable. No pre- or post- comms from host, fyi.
