The outside area features a heated pool with hot tub, outdoor kitchen with a grill, mini fridge and sink, tons of outdoor seating, right on the edge of the bay. This home is the perfect getaway! This place is really good for a family or friends. Except for few things (which can be taken care of before arrival) everything is perfect. Nice place to relax by the lake.

Check in was easy. I picked this property because it had a waterfront view, pool, and little to no steps throughout the property for my mom to use a walker. You can tell the property has been renovated but still needs some work. The water pressure in the showers weren’t great, the kitchen sink faucet sprays everywhere. The ice maker doesn’t work. They do have some kitchen utensils and cookware but not much and are old. (Glad I took some of mine) Tons of counter space made prepping meals easy! Love the open floor plan. The view is nice and we enjoyed looking out the windows while we ate. Tons of lighting throughout the place except the garage and front/back patio. The back patio did have some string lights you can plug in. There was a lot of wasps nests built around each entry door, under the patio, eaves, and fence. If you have a dog I would be careful with the gaps on the chain link fence as they could go into the neighbors yard. There was also a yellow jacket nest in the palm bushes, my dog was sniffing around and we started to see some come out the bush we were able to pull him away before they could attack. Pool was a little mucky and we couldn’t work the spa. There was spiders and webs throughout the home. Saw earwigs and ants daily. After walking the home for about 4-6 hours our socks were dirty. (Even though the cleaner just left) There really needs to be a good deep clean on the home. Overall, would come back with wasp spray and a mop.

Great outdoor space

We did not want to stay in Houston with all of the hustle and bustle and we are so glad we stayed here. Very quiet and was great to hear the waves while in the pool. Houston was only about 45 minutes away.

Houston trip

The house was pretty much like the pictures. We loved the spacious living, kitchen, dining areas! Though the kitchen isn’t stock with much, we managed with what dishes and utensils that were there or we went to dollar general 6 miles away and bought what we needed. We were visiting friends just down the road in another neighborhood, so the location was perfect for us. If the issues we discussed with the property management that need attention are taken care of, we would love stay there again.

RUN FAR AWAY

I'll put is as simple as this...-The most unclean home my family and I have stayed in. There was pet hair in every bed of all 3 rooms. We put them in the washer upon arrival. In every corner you look there are spiderwebs and behind the beds is filth which you can tell they don't bother to deep clean. I noticed blood stain on my mattress. We also had to kill 2 roaches in the kitchen/laundry area. Might I also mention my mother-in-law had to clean down the tables and toilet seat in the main restroom because she noticed what looked like menstrual blood on it. Absolutely disgusting!- Property requires repairs. Bathroom sink stopper is broken. Toilet flush handle came off, husband fixed it. A few kitchen cabinet doors are broken. They really shouldn't have the pool table listed, you can't even use it. From all the rain/water it's lopsided and wood is tearing. Also, Im not sure why the pool was hot our entire stay. -Not "As Listed". We had to buy shampoo/soap at the nearest gas station because theirs is 90% water and 10% leftover shampoo. Which they did that to the dish soap too. Seriously?? We bought extra toilet paper bc what they left was not nearly enough. Bottom line - how you see the home online is not what it is in person. I am not one to leave a bad review, but If I can save you from a terrible experience...you're welcome. Also, poor communication w host.

Summer family getaway

We chose this property for our family getaway with our daughters and grandkids because of the location and the swimming pool. It's fun for everyone to relax around the pool, eat outside, and just hang out together. The house fit our needs with the number of beds and the layout was nice. However, we encountered several problems during our stay. We could not get the jacuzzi to heat properly, one of the toilet's handle kept falling off when you flushed, the dishwasher, the ice maker, and the water on the refrigerator door did not work. I messaged the host about the jacuzzi, but there was no response. Since it wasn't an emergency, I decided to let it go. But our last night at the property, the water level in the pool and jacuzzi started dropping. Their was a huge leak in the pool equipment on the side of the house and water was spraying out, flooding the neighbor's yard. I called the host to let her know, and the call went to voicemail, so I left a message. I called the other host's number, and that call also went straight to voicemail. I then received a text asking how he could help me. I told him there was a water leak at his property, so then he called me. I understand that things break. That's just part of life. But my biggest complaint is the non-responsiveness of the hosts. I had difficulty getting in touch with them regarding check-in information and then again when we were staying at the property. Because of this, I would not stay there again.

We booked this for a family getaway. The pool, the water, and the house was everything we wanted. The house was great for the price and great communication with the host. We would love to go back.

Needs some maintenance

Lots of things not working properly or as anticipated at this property. We picked this rental because we wanted a heated pool but the heater for the pool didn’t start working until the last day and after lots of back and forth with the property manager and my husband having to do manually figure it out. They did give us a little refund which was appreciated but still put a damper on the trip. No lights out front which feels very unsafe when pulling up to.the house and front door. Lights out back not working either with the string lights or pool lights. One toilet didn’t work as we had to pour water in the tank to flush it. Decor and design is nice but needs some TLCon the finishes and to ensure pool is heated properly. Neighborhood is also sketchy with lots of run down houses and there is not much around here.

Nice comfortable stay

We visited this home at the end of October, when the Texas weather is still very pleasant. We used the heated swimming pool a lot, the view is outstanding. We liked the heated pool, the comfortable beds, the walk-in shower and the large kitchen. We had some feedback for the owner regarding the kitchen utensils and some cleaning issues. The home is on a remote location, so it’s really quiet at night, but for shopping, groceries and restaurants you need to drive 20-30 mins, which for us wasn’t a problem. All-in-all this was a very comfortable stay.

Beautiful home

We had a great trip staying at this home. Very spacious living room and kitchen. The pictures are not up-to-date as there was a futon in the master bedroom. That was a little disappointing as we had guess that we’re not very comfortable during our stay. The weather did not participate so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool as much as we would’ve liked to. The house needs a little bit of TLC on the outside but all in all it’s a very nice home and beautiful location.

Quiet and peaceful

This place was by far one of the best places we have booked on VRBO. We are VRBOers quite alot. This place had lots of room, which I like, great views from the back yard and the pool was clean and inviting. I already miss it

Family Reunion

The host let us know on Saturday that the pool heater and internet was out. It was not available for our stay through Wednesday. There is nothing much to do without them and the bay was too turbulent to enjoy. The pool and jacuzzi need a good scrub and the outdoor kitchen and grills are in need of cleaning and repair. The inside of the house is very nice and clean. The host did give us a small refund to compensate for the lack of internet and use of the pool.

Gorgeous view, kitchen well stocked. Easy check in and out. Pictures accurate. WiFi. Overall clean but Floor could use a cleaning. Lawn and pool services should be scheduled when it is empty and the pool was way too hot. Unable to get the temp adjusted.

Beautiful Home

The home layout and backyard are really great for family and friends to have a great time. The owner was very friendly in all contact we had with them. The only thing we had issue with was the mosquitoes, it took us two days and going out to buy a spray that knocked them down before we could really be outside at all. We would recommend staying at this property.

Very Relaxing

Owner was very communicative. House is spacious. It's very relaxing being so close to the water. I don't think it was intentional but I thought, based on pics, that there was a pier and a summer kitchen. There was still a grill to use and the pool was great!

Family Getaway

Very nice stay! Beds very so comfortable and the house was very spacious. Our host reached out to make sure everything went smoothly with check-in and to let us know if we needed anything to just reach out. I would recommend this house and location to any family looking for a calm and relaxing getaway!!
