Our stay was ok but not worth it, plus my post check out experience was frustrating! This is a fun house, not necessarily comfortable but entertaining. It has personality. The biggest ding for me is the showers: old, nasty shower curtains and mold in the tiles of the main BR, shower. It was freezing most of the time! Thereâs small outlet heaters in the basement but they donât work well. Turning the thermostat up made the kitchen an inferno. The bedding is cheap/thin. Found extras in the closet the 2nd night. Pillows also very flat. This was my 2nd stay after several years. Small things needed repair, you could just tell from a lot of wear/tear overtime. Some activities were not fully functional but most were so we made it work. The internal door knob was also loose but still locked fine so I figured it was part of other minor repairs needed. Cabinets are chipped, off track, screws missing, etc. We did have an accident, one kid broke a decorative glass pane. I reached out immediately, sent pics, knowing itâd be fine with the insurance. He threatened it might not cover it & soon after check out, the owner called blaming our party for the door and other small repairs attempting to nickel & dime/hassle me. I am a calm person but he tried to yell and over talk me until I de-escalated the situation by my response. I also assured him that I took video at check in/out then the accusations subsided. That left a really negative taste in my mouth, this will be the last our last time.
