Nice views

When you walk into Emerald Grande you are greeted by the front desk ladies who are so sweet and knowledgeable. After getting our room keys we headed to the room and our excitement quickly turned disgust. As soon as we opened the door a terrible musty smell filled the entire room. We decided to keep the patio doors open for a while to air it out hoping it would get better
 no change. We tried spraying perfume to cover. No help. My daughter found an empty medicine bottle in the room that we stayed in- not a huge deal but then wondered how clean the room was. We got in late so I messaged Vacasa at midnight about the issue and didn’t hear back until mid day on the second day of our trip. Room still smells and it won’t budge. Vacasa emailed and said they would let their maintenance team know. I made sandwiches for my family and a small black bug scurried across the kitchen counter. I ended up calling Vacasa after not hearing anything and they said they would have someone call me to set up a time to come to the room. That evening we decided to take matters in our own hands and bought car air freshners and clipped them on a fan that was in the room as well as sprayed other room freshners. On the 3rd day of our trip Emerald Grande called after 12pm and said the maintenance man was there asking what time we could meet. We were in Okaloosa island and I asked if 2:30 would work and that didn’t work for him. Our trip was 3 nights and 4 days so I told them to forget about it.

Unbelievable Views!!

We enjoyed our stay in this condo, the views are beautiful! This is the perfect location for food, entertainment within walking distance. We will for sure book this unit again in the future.

Nice unit with great views


Unit had great views, nice accomidations. The only downfalls were being able to only set the thermostat to 70, it would not cool the unit down very well on our 90+ degree days. Also, the unit next to us were smoking and the smell would somehow come thru the HVAC system and we could smell it every time they were lighting up.

Nice property, but ...

We enjoyed our stay, but there were many items you would expect to find in the unit that weren't there. The kitchen wasn't well stocked. They had a large size frying pan that no matter what you'd use everything cooked in the pan would stick. I wanted to fix mac & cheese, but no cheese grater nor a casserole dish. Didn't have a vegetable peeler. Also wanted to fix some mashed potatoes, but there wasn't a mixer or beaters. So, had to go out to Walmart and purchase one myself as well as the other items mentioned that weren't in the unit. Came down with a cold at the end of our trip, but no kleenex to blow your nose. They had several kleenex box covers under the sinks, but no boxes. The day before our checkout there was another unit doing renovations constantly all day, which gave us all a nice headache. Complained about it to the front desk, but was told there was nothing they could do. That didn't set very well! The unit itself was very nice with awesome views. They did have plenty of towels. I had received a few emails from Vacasa before my trip as well as during our stay. The emails before our stay had offered us to stay an additional night for just under $100 plus taxes and fees, but no mention on what those would cost. The emails received during our stay offered a late check out time for around 2pm, but didn't mention what that would cost either. I clicked on the link to that email and the only options were to purchase or cancel, no price.

Destin birthday

The property was great other than a few minor things. A curtain was dropping down from one of the windows, a foot rest was broken on one of the barstools, and a lot of the bathroom fixtures were loose. The views from the condo were fantastic and I would definitely stay there again. I would highly recommend this condo.

Absolutely breathtaking!!!

We loved the condo itself, the views are amazing! Dolphin are everywhere and you can see them from every inch. The photos really show exactly what you are getting. I'd give it a 5 star review on the view alone but there were a few things it was lacking. For one, there is plastic ware anywhere in the condo. No cups, or plates or bowls...ONLY GLASS! The entire flooring it tile so anyone could have dropped a bowl or plate. We traveled with kids so this was frustrating and we ended up buying other things to use. There is also no pizza cutter. (Not a big deal, but still worth mentioning.) The other things again all minor and wouldn't take away from renting again but wish I knew ahead of time... the appliances could use updating. Stove takes FOREVER to preheat. Freezer would Freeze some things and not others. Hot water take awhile and extremely hard to get to a decent temperature at least in the one master. One thing I thought was a safety issue is the railing on the separate balcony in the one master, children or adults can climb and easily fall over. Again we traveled with two children so we had to be extremely cautious with the one separate balcony. (I notice only a few with this railing set up. So im sure it's the building and should not fault the condo itself.) Some slow drains but thats to be expected. There was also an issue with the one bathroom toilet not working and vacasa was busy so it's was hours for a response. My husband just fixed it himself. If I has to give anyone advice with booking...bring plastic ware... cups/paper plates/even bowls because it's all glass. I'd also bring Tupperware if you are staying longer and plan to cook. The other problem we had was they replaced the washer/dryer and no one notified me. No one told me up front or left me a message. They just showed up. Which caused all our room keys not to work. The washer they replaced...didn't work. But the one that was there did work, so not sure what happened with that...there were some issues with the room keys not working randomly too which was frustrating because it's the 10th floor and we traveled with kids so the up and down trips to fix the keys was frustrating. ALSO *IMPORTANT* BRING your own toilet paper, just trust me! Again, we had a wonderful time and the few alone was worth it! Just a few things I wish I knew to better prepare!

Great girls trip stay

The condo was clean and modern, loved the giant balcony and view. Everything is on the boardwalk, you don’t need to drive anywhere. The beach access is easy. Will stay here again!
