Escape your everyday stressors and relax at our cheerful beach cottage, Buoy Oh Buoy!

Located in the quiet heart of the Crystal Coast, you won't have to compete for the perfect beach spot. Enjoy the best of both worlds only one block from either the Atlantic Ocean or the Bogue Sound. A variety of restaurants and local attractions are just a short drive away. Vacation just moments from the very best Emerald Isle and the charming seaside towns of Beaufort and Morehead City have to offer!

Buoy Oh Buoy is outfitted with everything (everything!) you will need for a perfect beach getaway - chairs, umbrella and Shibumi sunshade, beach towels, a beach cart, coolers, commercial ice maker and even a margarita machine! There are two kayaks for an adventurous day on Bogue Sound. If you prefer to be active on land, Buoy Oh Buoy is located on Emerald Isle’s, safe, well-maintained running/walking/cycling path, near Mile Marker 13.5.

After fun in the sun, Buoy Oh Buoy has a hot-water outdoor shower to rinse off. There are two hammocks under the house where you can unwind with a great book. The deck offers a gas firepit and a hammock porch swing—perfect places to continue reconnecting with your loved ones.

Inside, the kitchen is meticulously equipped to turn your groceries into fabulous meals. No need to worry about hauling anything to the beach—the kitchen has a large refrigerator with ice maker, high quality cookware and cutlery, loads of chef’s tools, an enameled dutch oven, bakeware, and a slew of small electrics, including Kitchen Aid stand mixer, Breville ice cream maker, slow cooker, panini press, food processor, Nespresso Pixie espresso machine and Keurig coffee maker. The outdoor gas grill allows you to serve up summer anytime of the year. There's plenty of dishes, glasses, and utensils. Afterwards, don’t waste precious vacation time scrubbing; let the dishwasher do the work!

The primary suite is located on the top floor with a queen bed, large walk-in closet, full bathroom, and a private balcony with seating for two. On the main floor there are two additional bedrooms, each with a queen bed and closet space to unpack. The main floor bedrooms share a full bath, which also houses the large capacity Maytag washer and dryer. All beds include premium mattresses, cozy high thread-count linens, and extra pillows. High quality bath and kitchen towels are also provided.

On rainy days, gather in the living room and enjoy a movie from our beach-themed DVD collection or stream your favorites on AppleTV with Netflix, Hulu, HBOMax, Disney Plus, or Peacock. A collection of board games, card games, and puzzles are also provided. High speed Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the cottage, and Apple HomePods makes high-quality music streaming a breeze. We also provide a guide for nearby destinations to explore while you are staying with us.

Flatwaters Paddling and Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Raceway are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Beach Wheels Bike Rental and Emerald Plantation. Emerald Isle Adventures and The Sweet Spot are also worth visiting. Kayaking and motor boating offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling and hiking/biking trails nearby.

Perfect location for a relaxing getaway!

Booked for the weekend to stay at while in the area for my sister’s wedding. Absolutely wonderful place to come back and relax at. The firepit was perfect, the beach is just a short walk away, and the hammocks were great to lounge in. There’s even a plethora of recommendations for activities to do in the area (even taking into consideration if it should rain). Very clean, well stocked (includes a little gift basket!) and bright. The only downside is that the weekend went by so fast. I wish I booked just one more day! Jason was incredibly responsive, and checked in on me during my stay to make sure everything was going well. Overall, a 5 out 5 experience.

First time out with all the kids :)

Was great to see our kids enjoy not just the beach but this very nice and well decorated place. The beds are nicer than what we have at home!

The hosts were amazing. The property was a cool beach cottage tucked away in Live Oak Trees. Anything and everything one may need for a trip to beach, these guys made it accessible to their guests.

I'll enjoy Buoy Oh Buoy! again

Buoy Oh Buoy! was as excellent choice for us. It was very pleasant inside and out with outstanding outdoor equipment and very nice furnishings throughout the interior. We did not have time to even begin to give all of the outdoor equipment justice. We would have loved to use the kayaks and the fire pit, but we were just too busy. We did use the wheeled cart to take chairs and a cooler (great selection of coolers, and the chairs were very nice) to the beach, and the cart performed beautifully! The kitchen was wonderfully well equipped. I wish that I had known that for coffee we needed pods (Keurig and Nestle espresso), and I would have liked a way to heat water for tea other than the microwave. Minor things, and the lovely welcome package had coffee pods (& many other things) to start us off. It also included dishwashing soap, laundry pods, & dishwasher pods, all very helpful for people who had traveled by plane. Thank you for a wonderful place. We would definitely return!

We hope that you'll find that Buoy Oh Buoy has been meticulously outfitted with everything you need for the perfect beach getaway, from cozy bedding and linens and a fully stocked kitchen, to high quality beach supplies and kayaks! You really don't need to bring much more than clothes!

Location, location, location! Buoy Oh Buoy is located on a very narrow section of the island, meaning the ocean and sound are BOTH just a small block away. The house is also located mid-island, providing quick access to Emerald Isle and the charming, sea-side towns of Morehead City and Beaufort.
