Perched on a grassy bluff with partial views of Eastern Bay, this large country getaway is a tranquil home base for a coastal retreat. Explore Maine’s pristine beauty in every direction. Venture to nearby Lamoine State Beach Park for kayaking. Head to Ellsworth for dining and shopping. Be sure to explore the hiking and epic scenery of Acadia National Park, just over the Mount Desert Narrows. Trek to the 1,530-foot summit of Cadillac Mountain. Or, take it easy, drive up, and enjoy the view from the summit parking area (16.4 miles). After days of adventure, return home for afternoon lawn games in the yard while supper sizzles on the gas grill. Dine alfresco at the picnic table, then roast marshmallows around the firepit. Additional outdoor space includes the furnished front patio featuring mountain and bay views.

Feel right at home in the spacious Great Room, featuring a love seat, two armchairs, bench seating, and soaring vaulted ceilings. Watch favorite shows on the 47-inch TV in the bonus living area, featuring a vintage gas stove. Whip up tasty dishes in the kitchen, equipped with a full suite of appliances. When it’s time to eat, gather at the wooden dining table that extends to seat 10. Extra perks include complimentary WiFi, a washer/dryer, two air mattresses, beach chairs, and hiking sticks.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

This was a close location for accessing Acadia National Park and all sights on Mount Desert Island. Many floor change transitions to rooms, ok for adults and less optimal if you have small children. Quiet street across from water in Lamoine and close to major two lane rout into Mount Desert Island. Stay here was pleasant and enjoyed by all.

Perfect spot

Family of 6 adults and 4 children had the perfect vacation! This property has great accommodations and within driving distance of all activities. Loved the fact that it was equipped with everything we needed and very well maintained. We all agreed we would love to visit again.

Spacious house!

This house is much bigger than the pictures suggest. We had nine people in our party and had plenty of room. The furniture was largely well kept. The overall interior was clean and comfortable. It's located close to Mt. Desert Island and ample shopping in Ellsworth.

Spacious House, Great for Group

We had 8 adults (4 couples) who had a wonderful stay. We were so happy with the size of the living space and kitchen and we had plenty of room to prep and cook big meals, eat together and enjoy each other's company. The house was stocked with lots of great kitchen basics and other nice touches such as board games, cooler, extra chairs...etc. Great location and not far from Bar Harbor/Acadia which is where we spent most of our time while here.

This rental has enough spacious room . Photos matches the actual place . We went as a group and everyone felt happy . Only issue was with the sliding door . It has well equipped needs and there is not much support required . It’s 34-45 mjns drive to Acadia . Will worth to stay here if planning to visit here . Thank you ..

Our family was looking for a home near Acadia and Bar Harbor. (About 20 minute drive.) BEWARE - this home has many steps between rooms and can be a hazard for guests. Bedrooms do not have A/C just portable A/C units. Lots of space and bedrooms with multiple beds helped with our large family group.

House was very clean and management company communicative.Dining and kitchen area functioned wellfor our group of 9 and the seating furniture in living room and den was comfortable. Note: The house is a bit of an awkward layout and there are numerous uneven floor entrances to various rooms, however these are well-marked. The uneven surfaces could be hazardous for young children and seniors. Bed layout also a bit odd but it seems owners are trying to accommodate large groups. We visited in late July 2025 and the weather was perfect, however the drive to/from ANP and Bar Harbor often took 45-50 minutes due to traffic. Overall it was comfortable and met our needs well.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable

This clean, quiet, and comfortable home is nicely located between Mount Desert Island and Schoodic Peninsula, making it easy to visit both parts of Acadia, shop in Ellsworth, then cook dinner for the extended family and give everyone a cozy place to sleep.

This home was perfect for our trip to Acadia. It was easy to get to the park from here. There was plenty of comfortable space for our group of 4 adults and 3 kids. The home was clean and had a well stocked kitchen.

Excellent Home

One of the best homes we have stayed in. The house was large and comfortable, with plenty of room for all the family. The site was well located and central to all the area attractions and our planned events. The home was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with all the amenities we could need. We will definitely stay here in our next trip to the area.

Spacious and comfy but far.

House was clean and as described. The fire pit and grill was nice to use. Biggest downside was the location which was a bit far from grocery stores and Acadia which made it difficult to do multiple trips to the park in one day. I would recommend staying here and would stay again.

Wonderful home with a lot of space

The property has a lot of space and is in a very relaxing neighbourhood. You still need to drive to the beach and getting to Acadia is still ~30 minute drive. We really enjoyed the fire pit and having a grill.

Bison Babes Retreat

We came to go to Acadia and learn more about Maine. This was very clean and had plenty of room. The kitchen was well furnished. We did not have any laundry detergent, some light switches were in strange places. Pictures made it look like we would be on a beach, but we were across the road from a private property. Clothes washer smells like mildew.
