Cette magnifique maison est ma maison personnelle, où même j'aime rester quand elle n'est pas louée. Il fait partie d'un grand domaine fermé qui abrite également notre autre location de vacances; le chalet Slice of Life (# 255129). Les deux sont des maisons de location de vacances toute l'année - parfaites pour les escapades estivales et les vacances hors saison. Nous apportons constamment des mises à niveau et des améliorations aux deux maisons ainsi qu'à chaque centimètre carré de cette magnifique propriété. On pourrait facilement croire qu'ils ont non seulement trouvé la meilleure location de vacances que l'argent puisse acheter, mais aussi leur propre complexe hôtelier qui vaut chaque centime!

Slice of Life Master House est prêt et attend que vous et votre famille fassiez les souvenirs de votre vie. Vous trouverez tellement de choses à faire que vous ne voudrez plus jamais partir! Venez vous asseoir sur le pont et profiter de la brise fraîche avec une vue dégagée et apaisante sur le lac. Détendez-vous sur notre propre plage de sable, profitez du soleil, faites une sieste dans le hamac ou étendez-vous sur la grande île flottante. Regardez les bateaux passer et admirez toute la grande faune du Michigan qui vous entoure. Regardez vos enfants s'amuser avec tous les jouets de plage ou les voir sauter sur la grande plate-forme paradisiaque pendant qu'ils nagent. Sortez le bateau ponton, ou les waverunners, ou même tirez un tube ou un skieur derrière! Poissons du quai où les poissons viennent à vous, ou avec le bateau de pêche et laissez le moteur de pêche à la traîne vous amener au poisson. Partez à l'aventure avec les kayaks, les planches à pagaie ou même les pédalos cygnes! Le soir, allumez un feu dans le foyer ou préparez un barbecue sur la terrasse. Pluie? Aucun problème! Nous avons des jeux de société, des salles de jeux, un sauna, un lit de bronzage, un espace d'entraînement, des télévisions dans chaque chambre et un accès Internet rapide! Besoin d'une sieste? Enveloppez-vous dans une literie 100% coton égyptien et réveillez-vous toujours au paradis. Faim? Pourquoi partir! Nous avons deux cuisines complètes, deux barbecues à gaz et des épiceries à proximité. Si vous devez vraiment sortir de la maison, vous êtes à 10 minutes du centre-ville pittoresque de Grand Haven (Coast Guard City USA!) qui offre une grande variété de besoins et de désirs de shopping, de parcs, de sites touristiques et de restaurants. Découvrez la plus grande fontaine musicale du monde et tous les bâtiments historiques ou promenez-vous sur la jetée et profitez de la vue imprenable sur le lac Michigan.

Nous faisons de notre mieux pour vous assurer que vous avez tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin pour vos vacances. Tout ce que vous devez apporter est quelques articles de toilette, puis faites un voyage ou deux à l'épicerie. Nous avons des vélos, des casques de vélo et des poussettes. Nous avons des jeux de jardin, du propane pour les barbecues, du bois pour le foyer et des glacières pour la plage. Il y a une grande cour, un patio et une terrasse avec suffisamment d'espace pour toute l'équipe à l'extérieur. Les couchages seront également confortables et spacieux à l'intérieur. Our Vacation

The property was perfect for our family. We a had a great and wonderful vacation. The amenities were excellent. The extras were great for all our Kids from 3 to 40. We all had a fabulous time. Oh ya the house was great, too.

Wonderful one stop shop!

This house has everything you need to adults and kids. We have stayed a lot of places and this one is at the top of list. We literally never left the house except to grocery shop because it kept 5 kids (ages 2-8) two sets of parents and two sets of grandparents fully entertained! The ability to walk to the water with out a lot of stairs was great for kids and grandmas!

Great Fall couples getaway!

Our five couples were supposed to go to Savannah but had to cancel - we made lemonade! This house is wonderful. It has great location, incredible amenities, and lots of space. We had plenty of room in a fully equipped kitchen for the chefs among us to cook; our "athletes' to work out, our wives to relax and laugh while the guys watched baseball, football and played golf. It is simply an outstanding place to get away.

Outstanding Time with Family

My wife and I are new to Michigan and this was our first vacation here. The house is large and has EVERYTHING. We had 12 family members join us from the East Coast. They were amazed with Michigan. We used the Pontoon boat, jet skis and Kayaks on the lake. I enjoyed everything about this prpoerty and we have booked to come back again.

Terrific property and well accomodated

Very much enjoyed this home. A ping pong tournament was probably the highlight, but generally the facility was super clean, neat, organized and very well cared for--and they even found a priceless ring that was accidentally left under a bed during the final walk through. So many nice features, the sauna was a real treat and makes this stand out. The trip to Grand Haven was easy, stores, beach etc. Would stay there again. Thanks.

Great house and great vacation!

12 members of our extended family stayed here for a week at the end of June. Ages ranged from 80 to 2 and we all had a GREAT time. The house was gorgeous and spotless. The private beach and various watercraft and toys were enjoyed by all. Murray, the owner, was easily accessible for questions. Downtown Grand Haven and the State Park Beach, as well as Meijer and Walmart (for groceries) were less than 10 minutes away. We normally don't return to the same place for vacation, but we all agreed that we'd love to come back and stay here. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Family Reunion/ 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration

We celebrated our parent’s 50th wedding anniversary with a weeks stay at the “Slice of Life”. We had eight adults and 10 children with ages ranging from 4 months to 80 years old. We all had an amazing time and spent almost the entire week right there on the premises. Murray truly has thought of everything, and obviously enjoys stocking his rental with more toys than one can possible imagine. It was the perfect location for all of the kids and adults to play and relax at the same time. We also got very lucky with the weather. But even if you don’t, there are plenty of inside games and activities to keep everyone happy. This was one of our best family vacations ever!

WONDERFUL VACATION HOME!

Our family stayed at the Slice of Life in summer, 2010. This being the first time we have ever rented a vacation home, we felt we hit the JACKPOT on the first try. The house was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed for our vacation. We cooked meals in most nights and everything we needed to do so was provided. We absolutely LOVED the firepit and the beach setting. All of the water toys.... Ski Doo's, kayaks, canoes, and toys for the kids were wonderful. We did not go to the big beaches on Lake Michigan, cause nothing could have been better than what we had. Murray and Hope were great and always available and willing to accomodate our needs. We are already booked for next summer!!

Don't miss the opportunity to rent this beautiful home

Wow. Is what you will say when you walk into the Slice of Life Master house. We were there for a long weekend and enjoyed every minute. We never heard, "I'm bored or "there's nothing to do". Everything is how it is described and more. So much room. Murray was very nice and only a phone call away. We even had a photographer come and do family pictures using the beautiful scenery and landscaping . A long weekend was not enough. We would recommend this to anyone, those with children, teenagers and seniors. Our family ranged in ages 2- 65 with 2 being college age. Thank you Murray for having your house available to use.

Perfectly Perfect in every way!

For over a year we planned and looked forward to this vacation! There were 24 of us and let me just say that Murray, his crew(shout out to James) and A Slice of Life did not disappoint!! We rented both the cottage and the main house, and it was perfect. Everything we could want or need was there plus more. The age range was 75 down to 12 and everyone said this is the vacation and the place we will come back to hands down. Murray has thought of everything ( although Murray we were going to recommend a commercial Ice maker :) and the houses were immaculate! From a crab boil on the beach, yard games, bike rides, pontoon boat, paddle boards, kayaks and just a week of family time together, life does not get much better than at a Slice of Life! Great Family Fun and Memories

Thanks again Slice of Life team for a terrific vacation week. This is our 7th year at Slice of Life with our family of 10 (8 adults – 2 children under 10). We stayed at the main house. Everything is outstanding as usual – exceptionally clean, plenty of room, much to do in the house and in the yard / beach area. We also very much appreciate your responsiveness to our questions and asks. Our favorite things to do are: tubing with the pontoon boat, ghost stories around the campfire and (of course) our annual couples Beach Olympics (horseshoes, bean bag toss, basketball, shuffleboard plus 4 others). Winners get a trophy - losers do the dishes. Lots of laughs. For the first time, our 7 and 9 year old grandsons successfully conquered the paddleboard which was very fun to watch. See you next year!

Outstanding Vacation - Again!

I want to thank Murray and Hope for another outstanding experience during our Aug, 2012 family vacation. We have 6 adults and 2 young children, and this was our 3rd year in a row to the Slice of Life Estate. Why do we love coming here year after year? Bottom line – it is the high quality of the total experience. We stay in the master house. It is very spacious, very clean, plenty of space (and bathrooms) and allows us to all be together – yet spread out if we have to. Included in the stay are multiple toys and fun things to play with for every age – rain or shine. For example, we have great fun with our annual beach Olympics (horseshoes, bean bag toss, basketball shoot, relay race, Jet Ski race etc.). The losing couple has to clean all of the dinner dishes from our going home feast. Try it – lots of laughs. We enjoy the beach and water area - - especially that the grand kids can play in the sand all day right in the backyard. We love the fire pit for night time gathering. Our son-in-law ‘owns’ the fire building – which works for us. Plenty of wood is provided. When we seek out vacation settings, we are very picky concerning total quality. The Slice of Life Estate meets the mark with flying colors. We have never had any issues or problems. Murray and Hope bend over backwards to be responsive and timely to whatever we need. Thank you Murray – see you next summer.

Christmas House

Second time back and not disappointed in the amenities. Plenty of things to do for the grandkids and we had great fun playing games, watching movies and many wonderful meals. Would recommend to large families.

Fantastic Family Getawa

Our family (16 people--ranging in age from 1-70) had a simply wonderful time at the Slice of Life Master House! It was a child's paradise--the private beach, the paddle boats, paddle boards, fishing poles and the kayaks--it was non stop fun. There are life jackets for everyone and for every size, ensuring the safety of all. When kids are happy, parents are happy!! It was relaxing for the parents because when they were not in the water or on the equipment themselves, they could sit back and relax while still easily keeping an eye on the young ones. There were plenty of sand toys and the fire pit was ideal for making s'mores. The inside entertainment was perfect for evenings. The smaller lake was lovely and inviting. It was a peaceful setting that made for a fantastic family get away and we all left with happy memories!

Perfect for a big family!

We had 9 adults & 7 kids in our group and it worked out perfectly. The kids always had something to do which meant the adults had time to do the things they liked to do....like read & relax for a bit! Thank you so much such a wonderful getaway.

Successful family reunion!

Family Reunion

More than enough room for our family of 8 adults and 7 kids. Plenty of activities with Jacuzzi, game room, double kitchen for snacks and meals, sauna and multiple TV's. Home was fresh, clean and up-to-date with all the conveniences. We whole heartedly recommend this property and we are planning our next return date!

A lot of "built in" activities

We have been going for several years to the Slice of Life. There are a lot of "built in" entertainment, such as in the house for rainy days, on the water, and lawn type games as options, so if you do not want to go out you don't have to. There is also a lot to see if you choose to go out. My favorite is the family time, investing in memories and not needing to leave, it is very ample for providing what you may need or want to have a great family time and stay.

Gorgeous and fully equipped!

We had a large group celebrating my parents' 50th wedding anniversary and we rented both the cottage and the master house. They were both wonderful and we loved having the gated entry so the kids could go back and forth between the two homes without having to worry about them. There was so much to do! The kids loved the paradise pad. We all enjoyed the ping pong and pool tables, kayaks, pontoon boat and the beach area. Both homes came with so many great amenities, lots of beach towels, grills, coffee makers and so many fun games. We all had a great time!

Wonderful family experience at the lake

Our family had a grate time at this place. The property is gated and well maintained. The house is spacious and clean. I wish we would stay longer to enjoy all the amenities this property has to offer including sauna, hot tub, pontoon boat, wave runners and many more. The options for entertainment were endless! What an AMAZING time!

Wow, what an experience! This was not your typical vacation home rental. Everything about this home surpassed our expectations. The home and yard were immaculate. The owners went above and beyond to make us feel like we were at home. The attention to detail was top notch, from the décor to the variety of extra entertainment available in the form of games, bikes and water activities. We had a total 4 families/generations come together and there was always something to do for everyone. Memories were made and I have a feeling we are going to become regulars at the Slice of Life. I will definitely recommend this home to friends and relatives.

Best family vacation ever!

We have a large family and wanted to treat them to a vacation where we would all be together and make memories. We have six grandchildren all under the age of six. We have taken them on many vacations, and have to say this was truly the best. The house is incredible, very clean, and decorated beautifully. The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you can possibly imagine. ( spices, condiments, foil, coffee makers, paper towels, etc) We spent almost all our time outside at the beachfront. It was hard getting the grand kids and my own kids indoors. The pontoon, paddle boats, skedoos, etc, sure kept all of us entertained. Night time was spent around the enormous fire pit eating s'mores and pizzas. This trip was everything we could have imagined and more!! Thank you Murray and Hope for helping us make this such a memorable trip!

New years eve with friends

We were looking for a place where we and our friends could stay for News years Eve. We all have children ranging from ages 2-12. We didn't want a hotel because we all wanted to be together in one space. This house was perfect! First of all, the house is incredible! There were a few Christmas items that we "put out of reach" due to little children, but everything else was amazing! The games in the basement kept everyone busy (adults and children) and the hot tub was used many times throughout our stay. There were enough beds for all 18 of us and they were all quite comfortable. We obviously could not take part in any of the outdoor activities because of the weather, but we would love to come back here during the summer months. The house hosts are very nice and friendly. We can't wait to come back!

The good, bad, and the ugly

This is a beautiful piece of property that is well equipped both inside and outside. The problem is not the property, the problem is all the rules and regulations given to you in the one hour orientation session with the owners required of you upon arrival. There are notebooks with photos of every drawer and every room that shows you where to put everything when you are done with it. And we could have accepted all of that, if we were not made to feel as if we could not really live in this home without being judged or losing our deposit. Even when there was a freak storm one evening that caused damage to several things outside the house, we were made to feel that it was our fault--and that was after we took the time to pick things up and put things away that were blown over or away in the storm. We had two days without hot water when we first arrived, only two of the eight TV sets worked the entire week we were there, the bed pillows were like rocks, and the bed sheets had pills on them. We have stayed in many VRBO homes and have not had an experience like this one. Knowing that this is Murray and Hope's home, they may want to reconsider renting it out , as their rules and regulations seem to indicate that they are not comfortable having others in their home.

Good Family Times

We very much enjoy our stay at Slice of Life. We took our children and grandchildren for our 50th anniversary 3 years ago and have went each year since. We also have it booked again for the next 2 years. We love the many things there are to do there as well as the lovely spacious home. We also like to do our own cooking which the home is equipped for. The property is very clean and well kept. The owner is just a phone call away if we have any questions. We have recommended it to friends and 1 friend has booked it. We stay at the home the entire time. The day we leave we go the Morning Star restaurant.

This property has everything you will need and you will not want to leave. It is in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown Grand Haven (10 min drive).

We enjoy waking up and seeing the lake, smelling the fresh air, relaxing on the beach, deck, or patio. Having a bonfire, making s'mores and memories with our kids, cousins, nieces and nephews! We are located in a peaceful & wonderful town with beautiful beaches, great restaurants, and shopping.
