Welcome to your tropical escape at the Kuleana Resort, the hidden jewel of West Maui. This 1-bedroom, 1-bath oceanfront corner unit is perfectly perched on the top (2nd) floor, offering uninterrupted views of the Pacific and spectacular nightly sunsets from your private lanai.

Inside, enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, tile floors, and a large dining island that opens to a breezy living space with a queen-size sofa bed and ceiling fan. The air-conditioned bedroom features a plush king-size bed and new furnishings to ensure a restful stay. For entertainment, both the living room and bedroom include flat-screen Smart TVs, along with free Wi-Fi and cable.

Great!

I’ve stayed at Kuleana before. I think I may have stayed in this exact unit before, years ago - but am not positive. I had family staying in another unit nearby and theirs was slightly better stocked with things one might need. But this is a rental so it can’t be expected. This place is perfect. Nicely updated, clean, and such a stunning view! Perfect place to unwind. Thank you!

Nice for two people

The condo was clean and updated, but really only for two persons. There is no dining table inside, only two bar stools. There is no real television unless you subscribe to a streaming service. Otherwise there are only a few local Hawaiian channels. It is a nice location for whale watching in the winter..

It is a gorgeous studio with amazing views and you are correct, perfect for whale watching during whale season here on Maui. The unit comes with a Roku tv for streaming and you can switch over to cable tv if needed to watch any games or a favorite tv show. We do our best to provide all the home away from home feels for our guests during their stay with us. Mahalo Nui Loa

My Happy Place

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I've stayed at this condo on several occasions in the past, but this is the first time under new ownership and management, and I was very impressed! The renovations and upgrades put in place by the new owners were outstanding, and the management company (Epic) was exceptionally friendly and worked hard to make the rental process easy and seamless. The condo itself is in a perfect launching point to see all Of what Maui has to offer, but is ideally situated in the perfect location within the Kuleana complex with the ocean right off your lanai and the pool right out your front door. I can't think of a better place to be!

Relaxing oceanfront retreat with amazing views

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was great! It was perfectly located in the complex by the pool with unobstructed views of the ocean. There were a couple trees in front, but nothing to take away from the whale spotting. The air conditioner in the bedroom was a nice feature but was too loud to have it on at night. There are no elevators however it is only a half flight of stairs so not a big deal. The one complaint I have is that we noticed all the soaps, hand soap and dish soap, were watered down to be full again. That is really tacky. I really hope they don’t make a habit of that.

Beware of bugs, Disappointing experience

To our dismay, we were not able to stay one night in the condo due to the infestation of bugs that revealed themselves when it got dark and we turned on the lights. Bugs everywhere. We contacted the property management to work with us on a possible solution/refund but they insisted the property was bug free. They treated us like we lying. We left the property after being there only 8 hours for another hotel and incurred an added $6000 in expenses. BEWARE!!!

Aloha Brent, Epic Realty takes every measure to make sure that our guests have a 5 Star experience before, during and after their stay. We have a large repeat clientele that books with Epic Realty knowing they will receive a welcoming stay, with excellent customer service. Epic Realty takes all communication from our guests very seriously. Some of the statements you made are inaccurate, incomplete and need clarification. You reached out to us afterhours stating that there was an infestation of bugs in the unit and could not stay and had left the condo. We received your message the next morning when our office opened. Epic Realty was surprised to receive your complaint, as we have never had any complaints about bug infestation at this unit. We take these types of issues very seriously and immediately sent our team out to rectify the situation. Our Quality Control Inspector arrived first thing that next morning. There were zero signs that there were any bugs in the condo the night prior as you had stated. We asked for your pictures and/or video documentation that you advised us you had and never received your documentation. We advised you that there were no bugs in the condo, all pictures and video documentation we have clearly reflected that the condo was clean and free of bugs. We answered and responded to your phone calls and email communications. We, not once, implied that you were lying. We tried to work with you, we asked you for your documentation so that we could rectify the situation as quickly as possible since our inspections could not produce the same results you reported having. Your reservation was still active, and it was your choice to leave and not return nor work with us. We left your condo open for your return for the duration of your booked dates of stay. You refused to go back to the condo to do inspections with us and advised us that you had booked a room at the Sheraton instead. We do value our guests' feedback as it gives us the opportunity to provide even better services for our guests. Our Team at Epic Realty worked with you and your review misrepresents our efforts to please you as well as what happened. We do wish you the very best and will continue to provide our guests with the Aloha Spirit and 5 Star Experiences.

Cozy Condo with a GREAT view

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First, the security guard that welcomed us on our first night was amazing. We would not have found the unit w/o him as there are three entrances and this unit is tucked away (Thank you!). The condo was clean and as-described. The view was **amazing** - we could see whales breach from the balcony almost every day we were there. The condo could use a few more basic items (pizza pan/cutter; bathroom trash can, etc.), but not a big deal. Take a sleep mask if you like dark rooms, the blinds in the bedroom don't block out the sun too well. There was plenty of soap, detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, and bath/beach towels for our group (thank you!). Make sure you take quarters for laundry!Overall, great trip, great clean condo. Would stay here again!

Lovely week’s stay at Kuleana

I have stayed at Kuleana several times over the years. This was our first time in 409 and through Epic Realty. We had requested early check-in and were told several times to keep checking back. Even though the unit was not rented the week before and cleaning was clearly done, we were not allowed in early. Had the owner/management just told us that up front, this would have been better than being led on. The unit was very nice and nicely furnished. There was an issue with the kitchen faucet that needs to be corrected (probably replaced) and I’ll notify management of this upon check out (didn’t want to deal with plumber). The stream of water feature did not work at all. Only full spray so every time it was turned on you had a nice shower and stove and counters got pretty wet. A bit annoying. Overall, great stay as Kuleana property is wonderful.

Aloha Dodie, We appreciate our guests reviews and feedback. We do our best to accommodate our guests requests for early check-in or late check outs. . Upon your initial request, we did advise you that an early check in was not available. You checked back with us on the day of your arrival, we advised you that our team would do our best to accommodate your request and if the condo became ready prior to our 4pm arrival, we would reach out to you. All of our units are cleaned and inspected on the day of arrival due to the recent fire and the ash and the dirt that is in the air. The condo became ready prior to 4pm, we contacted you, and you were able to enter the condo before 4pm.. Our team did our best to accommodate you, we were upfront and responded in a timely and professional manner each time you reached out to ask about checking in early. We did not lead you on in any way to believe that you would be able to check-in early. The faucet has a button that switches the stream from spray to stream. We did let you know this upon your checkout when you messaged us to let us know about this issue and we told you we would have had a team member assist you during your stay if you had brought it to our attention. We are happy to know that despite these issues, you enjoyed your Maui vacation.

November Vacation

Great location on a beautiful property. Oceanfront with beautiful sunsets every night. It had everything that you need for a perfect Hawaiian vacation. There was an issue with the internet when we arrived which we needed to contact the property manager for. They responded and were able to have it fixed in a couple of days. Would recommend this condo for a beautiful Hawaiian vacation.

Great vacation home with a terrific view. Tolle Ferienwohnung mit einem grandiosen Ausblick.

Die Wohnung ist modern eingerichtet mit einem extrem bequemen Bett, Klima im Schlafzimmer und Deckenventilatoren im Schlaf- und Wohnzimmer. Dazu kommt ein tolles Bad mit einer schönen großen Dusche. Die Wohnung liegt im oberen Stock eines einstöckigen Hauses in einer sehr ruhigen Anlage. Der Balkon ist direkt aufs Meer gerichtet, sodass man einen wunderbaren Blick auf das Meer und die Sonnenuntergänge hat. Uns haben nur Kleinigkeiten gefehlt. Da es in der Wohnung keine Waschmaschine und keinen Trockner gibt, muss man den Waschsalon nutzen, der in der Anlage vorhanden ist. Hier wäre ein Wäschekorb und ein Wäscheständer in der Wohnung sehr hilfreich. Auch wären neben dem tollen Sonnenschirm zwei Strandstühle sehr gut. Ansonsten hat es uns an nichts gefehlt und auch der Kontakt zu epic war toll. The apartment is modernly furnished with an extremely comfortable bed, air conditioning in the bedroom and ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room. In addition, there is a great bathroom with a nice big shower. The apartment is located on the top floor of a single story house in a very quiet complex. The balcony faces the ocean directly, so you have a wonderful view of the sea and sunsets. We were missing only small things. Since there is no washing machine and dryer in the apartment, you have to use the laundromat, which is available in the complex. Here a laundry basket and a clothes horse in the apartment would be very helpful. Also, in addition to the great beach umbrella, two beach chairs would be very good. Otherwise, we have lacked nothing and also the contact with epic was great.
