This charming 1950’s craftsman cottage in the heart of Topeka has 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. It is located on a lovely lot in the heart of Topeka. You will have the entire house, which includes a back deck with patio seating, free off street parking. The kids & pets will enjoy playing in the fenced in yard year round. .This adorable home is in a quiet neighborhood, and has a washer and dryer for your use as well.

Wonderful clean charming home in a quiet neighborhood

We loved our stay at your home, it was clean, quiet and felt like home. We enjoyed the neighborhood and felt safe while we were at the residence. The remodel was very well done and everything that we needed for our stay was available. We will definitely stay here next year for our next trip to Topeka. Thank you!

Dirty and front door lock was not working

The lock was not working, the inside was dirty, baseboards were dirty, hot and cold water handles had issues in tub, AC was having a problem keeping up with warm weather, wet towels left in the washing machine, and pest control issues.

Perfect for us!

This cozy home provided everything we needed for our stay in Topeka. Check-in and check out was super easy. It was in a nice, very quiet neighborhood, close to everything you need. Would definately stay here again!

I have stayed at Brandie’s place twice and it felt like a second home. Easy to get to, beds are comfortable and the house is well equipped.

This was a perfect set up for our visit to Topeka, it could not have gone any better. Very comfortable home, we appreciated being so close to the WU Campus.

Great Find!

This little cottage was perfect for our needs. It has a huge fenced backyard which we needed for our pups. We were in town for a dog show and it was so nice to stay here with a fenced yard as opposed to a hotel. Cute little neighborhood and barely heard a peep out of the neighbors.

Overall, very cute property! We had a little trouble with the door code at first, but I was able to get in touch with the owner and fixed it within a couple hours.

Perfect Short Stay

The house was just the right size and had all the amenities I was looking for. Both beds had nice crisp sheets, more than enough pillows and comfortable mattresses. There were fresh towel sets in both bedrooms. Plenty of space to hang up clothes, very nice LG washer/dryer stack and glass top stove. My reservation was easy to set up. Brandie was quick at responding to messages. I would stay here again.

Great Little Place to Stay!

The inside was modern and beautiful. Definitely is a charming place. It served its purpose for what we needed when visiting family for Thanksgiving. Great decor, had everything needed for the kitchen. Even had a dog bowl in the utility closet that we were able to use for our pup. Awesome washing machine, which we started a load of towels before we left as instructed in the checkout notes. The detailed information binder was awesome! The Kids loved playing with the toys that were there. TV was great, and very comfortable couches and beds! The only reason I did not do 5 stars was we were having issues with the heat, but we were not there the majority of the time just to sleep and shower really. We also used a towel to cover the bathroom window for showers. We did also hear a gunshot that sounded a couple blocks away but other than that it's a pretty safe neighborhood and in no way is that the fault of the property manager..

Experience was less than desirable- will not ever return!

The check in process and communication with owner was easy prior to booking. When we arrived a lawn service came to mow, essentially dirt (couldn't unload or leave when we needed to due to right by door and eating dirt and in eyes). This should have been scheduled when guests were not checking in. Owner offered to take our cars to get cleaned (one was a rental so they cant drive and other was brand new and not letting a stranger drive). We had issues with the water in the shower it was either scalding or freezing and took showers at friends house. We left early due to not being able to get the thermostat above 63. This was communicated with the owner with ZERO reply. Very disappointing and had a list of friends excited to see our experience for future rental opportunities since was near the college.

Would not stay at this property again

Upon arriving at this property (after 12 hr drive) the digital door code would not work, even after calling property owner. Property owner finally called maintenance and had it repaired. They knew they had been having issues with this problem but did not have it repaired before we arrived. The appearance of the entrance to the house was covered with spider webs and ants. The house was small but we had expected this. When walking in the house smelled of rotten eggs. Walked into the kitchen and there were many ants crawling on the counter. We also experienced killing a considerable amount of spiders which made our stay uncomfortable, especially having my seven year old nephew visiting. The three of us were bitten by them in several places on our arms and legs. We cut our visit short by a day but would have done sooner if we hadn’t been visiting family. We definitely would not recommend staying at this property.

Beautiful House & Great Location

Stayed here with family while attending an event for my kid and loved the proximity to so many places! The house was very clean and we loved the fenced yard as we had our two dogs! Enjoyed our stay! However, we did notice that the area had a lot of loud car noise and loud car music late at night which would eventually stop but this would happen between 9-11 pm every night. Nothing the owners of this beautiful home can control but just sharing the noise in the neighborhood. Loved how generous the host was with towels! And if you’re staying for a few days, they provide a very nice washer and dryer! Would definitely stay here again if I have to be in Topeka for another event! Thank you for the amazing experience!

Old house. No charm.

We were excited to stay at this house for our recent stay in Topeka. The pictures looked adorable online. Good: Communication with host was good. Kitchen was sufficient. Bad: Cobwebs in the hall. Dirt/hair in the corners of rooms. Bathroom is old and super small. Tub spout wouldn’t work (only shower). Shower curtain isn’t big enough. Window in the shower can be seen through! Some dishes were dirty. Couch is cheap and old (and uncomfortable). It rained, which made a large portion of the sidewalk under water (yard was muddy, so no place to walk). Bedding was cheap. We have stayed in 5 houses in the last 2 months. I always leave great reviews, so it’s hard to leave a negative one, but I hope the owners take note.

Great stay while visiting family

I stayed 3 days from mon-thurs at the property and it met all of my needs. Great appliances for cooking and washing clothes. I work from home so it was great working remotely and keeping with my busy work schedule. Nieces and nephews came to stay on a school night and they loved it. Fenced in yard was suitable for two dogs as well. I would recommend and plan to stay when I visit home again.

Weekend trip

This property was perfect for out stay in Topeka. We were in town for kids state wrestling at Stormont Vail Event Center and this property was only a couple of minutes away. Definitely will consider staying here again next time we will be on Topeka.

I'm 46 and recently decided to slow down my horse show career to stay at home more with my two younger sons and husband.
In the past, I spent 42 weeks on the road per year, giving me lots of experience staying at vacation rentals while horse showing. This gave me great insight to understand what people want (or don't want!) while traveling for vacation and/or work. I've started this new chapter to help with income while I spend more time with the kiddos and I love decorating! So this really isn't work for me.
