Welcome to Lazy Oaks, a 28 acre cattle ranch

Relax & unwind on 28 acres of our working cattle ranch. Comfortable one-story house with modern amenities out in the country, perfectly situated between Fayetteville & Round Top and close to Fayette Lake and La Grange. Plenty of antiquing & restaurants within 10-15 min drive from house. Perfect for romantic getaways, friends trips, or family vacations. Feel free to bring the dogs who will be safe in our completely fenced in large yard with plenty of room to run. Enjoy coffee or wine on the spacious porch, sit around the cozy living room or make dinner in the fully appointed kitchen. There's always plenty of room at the table.

Amazing getaway

Peaceful, relaxing getaway. 5 mins from the lake. Very well stocked-kitchen, bathroom and items for dogs. Loved the pond and patio too. Makes me want to live in the country.

Great stay in between Fayetteville and Round Top

We had a great girls’ trip this weekend. Beautiful (and quiet) setting, and it was a perfect spot for shopping the Round Top antique show. Will definitely keep this spot in mind for future stays!

Perfect Round Top Girls Getaway

This house was perfect for a girls weekend spent in Warrenton & Round Top! 5 girls with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living area. Close to both Warrenton and Round Top but with a country feel and host was amazing with our needs:)

Friends Getaway

Lazy Oaks is a beautiful property. It was a great location for relaxing after days of shopping the Warrenton area. There was a hitch getting in, but not a major problem. The bunk beds were great for children, but difficult for 60+ age women. However, the bunk bed room allowed for a queen air mattress that we brought. All bedrooms had plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals. We really enjoyed our stay.

Location was great! And beautiful property

We had so much fun. We loved the space and the property was so pretty! The back porch was awesome and the beds were super comfy. Would for sure stay here again! Also loved the oversized towels!!

Super quiet and beautiful surroundings From the baby cows to the chicken noises in the distance to the little scorpion scurrying around we were right at home and enjoyed coming back to chill every night

Quiet and Serene

My girlfriends and I loved the location. Less than 10 minutes to Warrenton shopping. The home is located in the country so we enjoyed a glass of wine outside in one of the sitting areas on the property wihle enjoying the views. Will definitely lease again while in the area.

Most relaxing vacation!!

We had such an amazing time it was so relaxing and refreshing! My city dogs were not sure what to do when the cows came around they got to run and we got to relax outside of the city life. It was never so hot you could not sit outside and have coffee or wine. I will say the heat brought out a few more insects but that is the country so bring you some off ect! The host was so accommodating and so sweet!! We can not wait to go back!!

Country Weekend Getaway

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time this weekend. The atmosphere was peaceful and serene. From coffee in mornings while listening to birds singing to quiet evenings with only the sound of crickets chirping in the yard, it was just the relaxation we needed. We especially enjoyed having our pups with us and the owners included them in the stay by having an area dedicated to them, with water bowls, towels, toys and treats. Thank you for a fantastic weekend and we will be back.

Really Pretty, Easy Weekend Getaway

A perfect halfway meetup point between Houston and Austin! The property was great and clean with just a few more bugs inside than we were expecting. They catered the stay well to dog owners (we both brought our dogs). Looking forward to returning!

Spacious, comfortable and homey!

We came to town to go to Round Top, and this spot was perfect. Just outside the hustle and bustle and close enough that we got there in a short drive. House had everything we needed including a wonderful porch and a beautiful view of a pasture. We all enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back for the next show! Or just a quick get away! Fantastic location for our trip to Round Top. Could not have been more pleased with the location and the home. We were a party of six adults and the house worked perfectly for us. We would definitely stay here again.

So relaxing, huge backyard for the dogs, birds singing, lovely!!

We had the best weekend staying at this house. We picked up groceries near our home in Houston and drove up there with our dogs. The house had everything we needed to cook meals and make coffee in the morning. We loved sitting on the back porch for all our meals. We could hear so many singing birds and cows mooing in the morning. Felt like we were in another world! The bluebonnets were everywhere on the drive out there. The beds were all very comfortable. The layout of the house was great. We were so close to all the Round Top and Blue Hills markets too, which we really enjoyed. We will be back for sure!

Lazy Oaks Ranch

We enjoyed our stay at Lazy Oaks. It was well appointed and perfect location for our excursions to and from Round Top. Everyone was comfortable and we loved seeing the cows and deer grazing the pasture. Could not have asked for a better weekend. Thanks Eric and Laura for sharing your place with us.

Perfect getaway

We stayed for just a last minute weekend getaway to explore Round Top. The property is awesome. Great location! Easy to access and gated yard that was great for our dog and kids! House has everything you need and rooms are spacious and comfortable! Owners (Laura) were very attentive and helpful with our questions! We have recommended this place to our friends and can definitely consider staying again!

Enjoyable true farmhouse experience

Loved this large house and its family of cows, horses, and chickens. All the country touches in its decor but with all the modern conveniences. Fully stocked which made us feel at home. We spent our leisure time outside enjoying the animals and scenery. The home is conveniently located near Warrenton, Round Top antiquing, eating, drinking, and partying but far enough away that we weren't bothered by any of the craziness of Antique Week. Beautiful place.

Lovely country home

You can tell the owners really put a lot of thought into making sure their guests have everything they need to fully enjoy their stay. The location of this home was perfect as it was a short drive to antique shopping and restaurants, yet far enough away that you could enjoy the countryside. The owners were very responsive and the house had a grill, fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, and everything we could need. We hope to stay again.
