This early 1900s Farm House is perfect for that quiet getaway. Beautiful 360 views on one of the highest hills in Fayette County. Located just 12 miles south of La Grange. Lots of wildlife, wildflowers and native grasses.
Cheryl's property was excellent! She was readily available if we needed anything, and the house is charming! We stayed for the Round Top Antiques Show and it was close enough to get there every day. I would highly recommend her guest house!
The Guest House is a very charming spot outside of La Grange. It has all the amenities for a get away weekend, cows included! Our 2 favorite activities were going out in the yard at night to stargaze and having coffee on the back porch while bird watching.
This was the perfect location for our girls weekend getaway! The house was the perfect size for the 4 of us, and every detail was thought out! We loved sitting on the back porch enjoying the beautiful view, and the drive to the antique weekend was easy and gorgeous!
We were in town to celebrate our La Grange sister's birthday, as well as to watch our nephew play football. This home was PERFECT! The decor was adorable and the back porch was perfect for enjoying the scenery, a glass of wine, and a cool breeze. The hostess provided anything and everything we needed (and then some!) and we were extremely comfortable. We plan to visit again and hope this home is available!
Even better and more wonderful than pictured or described. Heaven on Earth. Owner is a gem. No detail left uncovered. She has literally thought of everything. Let's put it this way - none of us wanted to leave and go shopping - and we couldn't wait to get back home at night to enjoy the peace and beauty .... a truly spectacular experience- the drive to round top is EASY and beautiful ....We never tired of it.
Highly recommended!!!!!!
This house is so charming from the moment you enter the gate. Views are incredible bit at sunrise and sunset. Cozy, warm, very clean and inviting described this well. Would definitely stay again.
The pictures don't do this little farmhouse justice! Be sure to arrive while it's still daylight so you can appreciate the beauty of farm life that surrounds this adorable farmhouse! Then once you enter the farmhouse, Cheryl the host had literally thought of your every need! The attention to detail was perfection! This was our first trip to Texas to shop at the Round Top antique show, it was nice to have the 25-30 min drive back to the quiet country each day. Make sure you take time to sit on the porch and enjoy the menagerie of birds singing in the morning or the beautiful sunsets in the evening!
Super peaceful and charming. Lots of detail and attention to everything needed. Very clean and nice. Birds chirping and gorgeous views of countryside all around. 35 minutes from Round Top. Very quiet and remote.
From the âcurbâ appeal of the beautiful rolling hills, large oak trees, wonderful back porch to star glaze to sunrise with morning coffee, sunset with a glass of wine, this house was perfect! Host had EVERY single thing you could possibly need and, so many extra touches from different snack items drinks, fresh cinnamon rolls, all house hold items could possibly need that may have been forgotten to bring or not knowing you needed till arrival, was covered. So many special touches of wonderful homemade bee soap, shampoo items, to soft fluffy towels to sun spray. Host was extremely promptly for any questions I had prior to trip and during the trip! Morning we were leaving she (host) can by to wish us off with homemade warmed blue berry scones!!!! They were so yummy!!!! We went for a girls trip for shopping in round top, was about a 20 /25 mins drive from
Shopping but was worth the short drive to get to go back to such a precious cottage to unwind after a long day of walking and shopping in the Texas sun. I have stayed at many AirB&Bs over the years and have some wonderful and horrible experiences but Cheryl was by far the best host I and my group of ladies have ever experienced!!!! She is a must stay Host and a precious cottage
My sister and I stayed at this lovely farm house to shop during the Round Top fall antiques week (approximately 35 minute drive). We were looking for something away from the crowds to retreat to and this place was absolutely perfect! We sipped our coffee and champagne on the back porch overlooking rolling hills. It was so relaxing and we both agreed we canât wait to go back. The house is generously stocked with the essentials, something that seems rare in VRBO houses lately. The owners were amazing and made sure we had everything we needed.
My two daughters, my daughterâs mother-in-law and I stayed here for the first weekend of the Round Top Antique Show and it was perfect. It is a 30 minute drive but we loved that time driving to get there as we talked and planned out our day along with the beautiful scenery. The house could not be more perfect with everything you might need. The cottage is so cute with stunning views off the back porch. So comfortable and cozy. We just loved it so much and will definitely stay here again!
