End of summer 2024

Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful property. We had a GREAT time and everything was perfect. Everything was clean, organized, and all kinds of labels to help with what everything is and goes. Everything worked like it should have. And the sunset at night was epic. It was a perfect short term get away before all the kids go back to school. The owners clearly have being a VRBO host down to a science. Thanks again!

Too much work

Good property. We did enjoy the stay. The only comment I would make is that the arrival and especially the the departure required way more work than I would have expected of a guest, specifically having to put all cushions for the the outsider sectional on, then having to try and fit all the cushions back in garbage bags and jam them into a container on the side of the house. I also was required to remove all bedding for every room that was slept in. We also had to take all a trash out to the trash bin before leaving. I use Vrbo for a property I have and it comes with housekeeping at no additional charge as it should be. This might be an exception for this property but that alone would stop me from doing this house again

Perfect house for girls' weekend

We are a group of women who have known each other since childhood, and we go on a getaway every summer, so we've stayed in a lot of vacation rentals. This house stands out because it is so nicely decorated and appointed with all the comforts and necessities. Other rental houses are never used by the owners, and you can tell. This house has everything you need in the kitchen and bathrooms, as if you were staying in a friend's home. The deck is huge, and has a nice table for having dinner, and a comfy sofa and firepit for evenings. The private dock at the house has kayaks and a stand up paddle board, which we used and enjoyed. There are also noodles and vests for just floating in the water. One day we rented a pontoon boat from CBs rentals in the marina. (They no longer rent jet skis due to insurance.) Overall, it was a great stay in a beautiful, comfortable home.

Our wonderful stay in Discovery Bay

We stayed at this beautiful house for 3 days for a family reunion. Everything about the home was perfect for us and exactly as described. The kitchen was equipped with all we needed. The bedrooms were perfect and we ended up using a blow-up bed for one of our grandkids and she loved the bed. The patio is inviting and the furniture was perfect for sitting out in the morning and evening. We were surprised how quiet the neighborhood was in the morning and evening. It was just beautiful at night, sitting on the patio and reflecting on life's events. It was a very nice play to stay. I highly recommend it. I have only positive things to say.

Perfect family getaway

We have a great experience in this beautiful home! The neighborhood is very good, quiet and friendly environment! The deck view is gorgeous. Our family felt very relaxed. The host provided everything we need for staying, such as lots of kitchen and bathroom supplies. The host is very thoughtful and considerate. The communication is very fast. The house is nicely decorated. We have an amazing experience in this place. We hope to use it again.

Beautiful location

My 4 siblings and our husbands wanted to spend Thanksgiving with our parents who live in Antioch so this property was ideal. The owners were very easy to work with and kind enough to let us arrive a few hours earlier than the typical check in time. We all drove from Southern California and really appreciated this. The pictures in the listing do a good job showing the property and amenities and we were very much looking forward to relaxing on the beautiful deck. Upon arrival we were very disappointed by the condition of the outdoor spaces of this property. It was extremely dirty with spider webs and spider nests all over the furniture and cushions. The deck was very dirty and the railings had large cobwebs as well. We grabbed the broom and went to work trying our best to make it useable but it was impossible without a power washer and/or blower/vacuum. We went to Walmart and bought sheets to drape over the furniture so we could sit on it. I did call Ruth to ask if the cleaning people forgot to clean and she told me they don’t clean outside during this time of year. The outside deck was a huge reason for choosing this property so having that information in the description would have been very helpful. I did receive a message the day before arrival saying they had a black ant infestation and the cleaners were going to be there early on our day of arrival to clean up. We didn’t see any ants upon arrival but day two brought an army of ants into the laundry room and downstairs bathroom. We found the Raid spray in the garage and took care of it. We made the best of an unpleasant situation and enjoyed our stay at this property. Our parents in Antioch are elderly and we visit often. Their home is very small so when we gather with everyone we need a larger space, we’d love to use this property again but would not want the work that goes with with.

Loved this Place!

I was a little nervous because the VRBO website was down so I could not get to my code to get into the property and my son's wedding rehearsal was in only a couple of hours. Luckily, my daughter's boyfriend made some calls and got it figured out. The place is a little dated, but very well maintained. The owners were amazing to work with and my family had a wonderful stay. It was very close to my son's wedding venue so I hosted a brunch the following day. We had all the necessary platters, cups, and dishes. The beds were so comfortable! It is very close to Safeway. I would definitely stay here again!!

The best spot for your family gateway!

We really loved this place! Everything is perfect and kitchen fully well equipped. Huge space, fun place for the kids, grand parents, privacy for us, and heart breaking views from main bedrooms suite. The outdoor deck is perfect do bbq and sunset! We rent a boat for the water sports and the kids just loved it! Owner is great in response and helped us on many tips around the area like where to go and what to do. It will be our must to be summer vacation every year I think.

This place is beautiful, no need to look any further!

I brought my family of 5 plus a few extra teenagers to this beautiful home. It was well appointed with dishes and supplies, basically everything you need to make it home except the food. The pool table was a huge hit and the just the general layout of the home is perfect. Super comfortable beds, amazing ovens (I'm a baker), gorgeous kitchen with views you could never beat. The master bedroom is like it's own apartment! The house rules are not exhaustive and very reasonable which makes things much less stressful. I loved working with Ruth who co-manages, she's a delight. We used the beautiful dock to tie up our boat and the kids spent a ton of time fishing and swimming. There was a kayak and paddle boards that we made use of, not to mention a beautiful outside patio complete with a fire top table and nice patio furniture . Oh and the BBQ!!! A pristine BBQ that cooked everything perfectly while you watch the sunset. I can't say enough good things about this gorgeous home. I can't wait to go back! Thank you, Ruth and Marian! Gorgeous views and lovely home

We stayed here for two weeks while we were visits and had such a lovely time. The house was bright, clean, well stocked and beautiful. The owners were so amazing and we were very happy with the interaction!

Beautiful Home and location

This house was large and looked just like the photos. The bad news is we rented this to be on the water and use the kayaks and SUPs. The tandem was broken and they were all filthy covered by spiders and webs. The owners graciously allowed my to use the inflatable boat with a motor. I had to remove 6 seagull eggs, spiders and wash it down. But being an active large boat owner, it turned out to be a lot of fun and more than offset the bad news on the kayaks. The deck is spectacular and the grill in mint shape so we enjoyed eating outside with there being an electric awning to cover the table, a working firepit and the sunsets were gorgeous.

Family wedding weekend

This house was beautiful and spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed the view, large deck and pool table/bar area. Very well stocked kitchen with helpful labeling. Highly recommend for family or friends.

Great place. I am ready for another gathering.

Perfect for my grown children and their little ones. The deck was secured and large. I never had to worry about the grandchildren escaping. Layout of rooms was awesome for kids and adults......especially when we needed our own space. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. I loved the melamine dishes that we used for each outdoor meal (never know when those little kids will drop something!) Location was wonderful as it was close to fruit picking. The water activities was the best. The house provided paddle boards and kayak which we used everyday by every member of the family. Our Discovery Bay friends came over with their boat and took us water skiing and wakeboarding which was the icing on the cake. I even read one of the books that I found in the office. The outdoor furniture allowed the perfect setting for my reading and my husband's napping. The hosts were easy to get hold of when we had a small issue and it was easily remedied. The only con for me was the lack of an automatic ice maker. Not a big deal to others but I am an ice hog. There were ice trays available but we purchased a 5 lb bag from Safeway (which was really close by) and I was a happy camper. I definetly plan on visiting again.

My husband grew up on a lake in east coast and had fond memories playing on his grandpa's boat. Boats were his special tie with his papa and a soft spot. I grew up close to rivers and my dad often brought home fresh caught fish for a whole week's dinner. We are a family that love water and water activities! We now have three little boys that we want them to have such special memories and fun, and we also want to share this lovely "boat house" with the rest of world who'd appreciate it.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Before purchasing a vacation house, we visited friends in Discovery Bay and rented other short-term rental houses here. It's finally time to have our own! We loved the floor plan of this house that fits our family (and probably yours too!), its gorgeous wide water and sunset view, and it has one of the largest decks! We decorated it to our personal taste that we hope you would also find lovely and relaxing.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We try to make the house not only comfortable, but also fun! We provided numbers of water toys like kayaks and peddle boards. There is a pool table with Ping Pang table top, a board game table with several games, and an elliptical in the garage! Oh, the house comes with a wet bar and we leave a few bottles of liquor for you to make margaritas!
