We loved being centrally located in the Latin Quarter and close to all amenities. That said, the unit was on the small side, and there were no bed sheets or proper pillows. We felt like we were sleeping in a bed that could not be cleaned because there were no sheets, and the pillows could not be washed. The other issue, was that the bedroom was very challenging at night and almost dangerous at times.
Overall, a good experience. Great location and value. Could use more and better pillows. The kids on the couch ended up using couch cushions instead of the small and flat pillows provided; downstairs was better but still lacking. The cave was very unique. It took a few trips on the stairs in the floor to get the hang of it, but no problems after that. Musty smell in the cave and bathroom, despite at least 9 air fresheners and a dehumidifier. Very quiet, no road or people noise. Super close to groceries, crepes, sandwiches, and pizza.
We enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It has a dedicated patio that is shaded and a quiet retreat from the city. The patio is at the end of a secluded courtyard. There is no traffic or other noise in the courtyard or apartment. Everything was clean. The safe needed new batteries and was non functional while we were there though this was not a problem. The bedroom is downstairs in a brick arched cellar. Ventilation was not a problem. The steep circular staircase may be a challenge for someone with mobility issues. It dissuaded us from bringing our luggage downstairs though there was plenty of space in the living room. It is a convenient location to Notre Dame and subway lines. A good value for a couple that is not looking for high luxury but functional accommodations. Groceries, etc nearby. All classic Paris attractions are withing walking distance for fairly fit individuals.
