Awesome place to stay in Trinidad, close to everything. Super quiet neighborhood, feels really safe too. House was beautiful, had everything we needed for us (2 adults and a big dog) to stay comfortably. Host was communicative and friendly. We had no issues at all during the stay. I would book this house again next time Iâm in the area!
I was initially skeptical when we arrived. The lawn was overgrown and made the home look a bit forlorn (but a guy came to mow the next day!). However, the house inside is LOVELY. Gorgeously renovated while saving the history of the house. And it was the VERY BEST stocked VRBO of any I've ever stayed in! Our hostess was quick to respond to any questions and we had a WONDERFUL time!
We needed a place for the night and this house was perfect for us. Hosts were great, house was clean, and the stay was nice. We would stay there again.
We stayed just one night, but it more than met our needs. Really close to downtown if you want to grab dinner or anything, and right by Habenero's if you want some great breakfast burritos. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed one night. The house is very clean and everything was in working condition. The front porch was nice for the evening. Definitely would stay again!
We booked this trip for my 86 yr old mom to show my daughter where she grew up. 3 generations of women there for a short holiday. The 420 house was perfect for us. It is clean and comfortable and close to everything we wanted to do. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying here.
Clean and welcoming! The interior was great, the yard not so much, but the inside was fine. Enough bathrooms to accommodate everyone and the window air conditioners were great. It was a short drive to the down town. The beds were a little short for my 6'2" husband, but there was plenty of beds to spread out too, as there was only 4 of us and the house will sleep at least 6.
The property manager and owner went WAY beyond our expectations to meet our needs. Very responsive and eager to assist us. My spouse was visiting his brother for the first time in 7 years, and this home was a perfect rendezvous. Clean, spacy rooms, comfortable front porch, well appointed kitchen. Very Much appreciate all you did!!
We loved the architectural style and the decor chosen for the property. It was warm and comfortable and very secure. We love the 420 friendly porch and backyard as well as exploring all the Trinidad had to offer while we were there. This is a perfect place to stay for just a couple of nights as we did or for much longer. Kitchen was well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. Plus there are two other bedrooms and two bathrooms!
The views from either porch were incredible
Loved this house! Super clean when we arrived, beautifully appointed with a terrific kitchen. High quality cookware, lots of spices and everything you need to make amazing meals. Comfortable beds, living and dining spaces. Terrific wrap around porch with lots of seating. The house is just as pictured, including original hardwood floors. Easy communication with Melinda the host. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
We were traveling with the Tiffiny Dawn band all the way from New Braunfels tx because they were performing Sat for the run to raton rally. There was nowhere to stay in Raton, so this was the next closest thing. This house ended up being perfect for us all. Had plenty of room, cute and charming inside and outside. Nice porch to sit at in the evenings and in the mornings. Nice little back patio as well. The house was fully stocked with all the necessities, very clean, & beds were comfortable! And most of all so close to everything, which made it very convenient for us to explore beautiful colorado when we werent working. Would definitely recommend this house!
First and foremost, I would rent this home again for the purposes we had. We were there to ride bicycles in the surrounding areas; the location of the house was just about perfect for discovering the vast ranging gravel roads Trinidad has to offer. The 3 bedrooms with 2 queens and a bunk bed may technically sleep 6, but I'd say this home is more suitable for a party of 4 or less. The neighborhood, however, leaves something to be desired; the house across the street looked to be dealing and cars were racing up and down the street into the late evening. Certainly not the fault of the homeowner, but nevertheless, disconcerting. I'd like to thank the homeowner(s) for being accommodating and gracious.
I live primarily in Loveland Co but I work in Trinidad so often that I needed a residence. Trinidad is a very charming small town with loads of potential. Itâs a historical town with Victorian style buildings and homes, and some brick roads built back when Trinidad was a booming coal mining town. Itâs known as one of the stops along the Santa Fe Trail and as the home of trappers, traders and early ranchers back in the 1800s. Today thereâs a tight knit community and itâs enjoyable to talk to the friendly business owners in the area. Itâs the type of place where you could become a regular and get to know the locals if you lived there. Particularly I enjoy the food served. The town's population is around 8000-9000, and Trinidad is surrounded by beautiful mountains and wildlife. More recently Trinidad is experiencing a resurgence because of the marijuana industry which is bringing lots of new business to the town. Trinidad is 13 miles from the New Mexico border, so when Colorado legalized marijuana Trinidad had a flood of tourism.
This property is beautifully maintained and very spacious, equipped with 3 large bedrooms and fenced in backyard space. I needed a home in Trinidad, and this home offered everything I wanted and more.
Many homes in Trinidad are older, and this wonderful home is 100 years old as of 2022. I fell in love with this house because of how beautiful and well taken care of the home is. Work has been put into the home to create an updated effortless look paired with beautiful original wood flooring, and columns and built-ins handmade by craftsmen. The home is down a block from a lush green park, and you can see Fisherman's Peak through the windows. The neighborhood is extremely interesting with colorful varied historic homes adjusting to the times. The home is fully equipped with everything someone would need to live in comfort.
