My husband & I really enjoyed our stay. The property was very close to Mt Rushmore, a short drive thru the Black Hills , Custer State Park and the Badlands. The Neighborhood was very quiet and a short walk to downtown Keystone.
This house is clean, comfortable, and convenient! Well supplied and close to everything that we wanted to do in the South Dakota / Wyoming area. Dave was very quick to respond to my questions / requests. We will definitely return!
Great place to stay! The property is conveniently located. Had everything we needed for a week-long visit. We did a lot of cooking and found plenty of pots, pans, and utensils. The owners we met very responsive and moved quickly to answer any question we had. Would definitely recommend.
I stayed here with my 2 parents and 2 children. It was the perfect location to everything we planned on doing. We had everything we needed. We had all of the cookware we needed to make our own meals, plenty of towels, comfortable beds, washer/dryer, as well as paper towel, and garbage bags. Communication with the property owner was easy with a quick response. We would definitely stay here again.
Very comfortable place to stay. My husband and I brought our relative from Germany to the Black Hills to explore our beautiful state. Only suggestion I would have is to purchase your groceries before you arrive in Keystone and if you like to watch tv, bring a fire stick or Roku with you. One suggestion for the owner would be to have a fan for the master bedroom. It gets stuffy with the door closed. Nice with the windows open, only the birds set their alarm clock before we do.
Property was a in a great location, easy access to many activities in the area. The place was beautiful and a very nice place to stay. Highly recommend it.
This property was clean with a large bathroom equipped with full size washer and dryer. Up the spiral staircase is a bedroom and another small 1/2 bath which worked well for our children. There is a tenant below so not the whole house, but you have your own parking and entrance. You do need to drive to get to the Main Street in Keystone with the train station, restaurants, and shops but itâs just a few minute drive.
My recommendation would be to add more seating to turn the main space into a place where families can relax and unwind. TVs in the bedrooms and extra seating featuring stools at the island and another couch or a couple comfortable chairs would turn this into the perfect place to stay.
The location was great for visits to Rushmore, Custer and Wind Cave. We were also able to visit Hill City (wineries) and Rapid City within 30 minutes. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfy. Parking for at least 2 cars with easy access to the town and highway.
We enjoyed our stay in the keystone area and we would rent this home again! The bed and bedding was comfortable with many pillow options, bonus bathroom in second bedroom providing extra privacy was a welcome surprise! Appreciate a well appointed kitchen with sharp knives and quality silverware- lots of space for food preparation and quality pans make a difference after a long day of exploring! Thanks Dave and Melanie for this quiet retreat!
