The views were amazing. The kitchen was wonderful to cook in. Now we want to renovate our kitchen. We would come back again.

On top of Hill City

We loved this home! Very spacious. incredible master bedroom, beautiful views and privacy on the hilltop all alone. Perfect location for us with only a few minute drive to Hill City for all the restaurants/shops/grocery. Perfect mix of being out alone and having access to the town.

We had a great time there. The view of Harney Peak was a very pleasant surprise! It was wonderfully quiet, and we had way more than enough room. The kitchen was great for preparing a few meals. Overall, a great vacation.

Black Hills hideaway centrally located

Three couples on a family vacation and reunion stayed in this beautiful 4bathrooms very open clean cabin. The wrap around second level porch was awesome. The third bedroom had a double bed futon which was not comfortable not sure the reason that a queen bed is not in this room.

Nice place - good location.

As the previous reviews suggest - great views of Harney Peak and the Black Hills. Needs a few additions (e.g., a grill). Overall, a nice place in a good location.

Great place, good location with great views. Beds were comfortable. Staff were responsive when we needed help. Wifi is understandably an issue in the hills so be prepared to use hot spot if you need Wifi.

Breathtaking Views & Private

The views from Hill City Haven are incredible! The panorama of windows on the main floor and the master bedroom make it feel as though you are outside. There is also plenty of space on the wrap around deck to be outside and take it all in. This cabin is clean and has everything needed for a comfortable stay and has some unique features like a large copper bathtub, double shower head and barrel sink. It feels secluded but is only minutes away from Hill City and central to many of the main attractions. We would highly recommend a stay at Hill City Haven!

Just missed the mark

The cabin is nice, the location is perfect, and the view is beautiful
 but the property needs to be sprayed for flies. There are these flies that cover some of the windows on the outside and many that are all over the indoor windows or in all the lights at night. Then they start dying and you hear them fall, there are always dead flies on the floors. Behind the couches had 40+ dead flies when we checked in and it was just cleaned. I spent every evening trying to vacuum up the flies and hoping they didn’t fall on me or in my stuff. Also, the tub is unavailable for use and the note attached to it makes it look like it’s not been available for a long time. It should definitely not be listed as a perk of the master suite.

Perfect for any Black Hills adventure

Great location, we did a lot of driving but everything we wanted to see in the Black Hills was no more than a hour drive. Hill City was amazing also, try the 1880 Train to Keystone or the Black Hills Institute. The hill side location provided some amazing views of Black Elk Peak! Very peaceful property.

Great cabin a little off the beaten path!

This is an amazing cabin! Very comfortable stay and amazing views. Be aware this property is accessed by a gravel road. We had an SUV, so not an issue. Google maps also gave incorrect directions, so be careful with GPS. The master suite is on the 3rd floor and all other bedrooms are on the first floor. Keep this in mind if you have smaller children. Great location for accessing all the local attractions.

Awesome Place

This property has an impressive view. It is a great place to sip coffee the morning and relax in the afternoon. While you are not completely isolated, you can fully immerse yourself in the beauty of the Black Hills. It is a wonderful house! Be prepared for three stories of stairs.
