We are so sorry you were inconvenienced during your stay! We always strive to make every guest stay as perfect as possible, inspecting every property twice between every departure/arrival. Our staff are human of course, and so even if we hit 95%, that still leaves some issues from time to time for guests to contend with. As the property manager, we are not responsible for the amount of parking allotted to each unit. This number is set by the HOA od each property. When traveling to Mammoth and staying in any vacation rental it is helpful to understand the relationship your vacation rental manager has to the property. The VR manager you book with has a contract with the owner of the individual condo, and is responsible for the studs-in portion of the condo (interior only) while the complex usually has its own maintenance staff (paid for by the Homeowner's Association) who is responsible for the studs-out (or anything exterior to the condo you booked). This means that every condo in Mammoth may be managed by different companies, and regardless of which manager you book through, none of us have any control over the neighbors, parking, or common area facilities or maintenance. When you access amenities (such as hot tubs, pools, parking, or laundry etc.) you do so as guests of the homeowner. Individual vacation rental managers have no control or information about outages, maintenance schedules, etc. When speaking with any on-site staff, please be aware they are not employees, agents, or representatives of Mammoth Five Star Lodging, unless they are in our uniform. There may be a front desk at the complex you booked, but they are a different company and will not service you, and they do not speak for us. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide grocery items such as cooking oils, spices, salt & pepper, plastic wrap or aluminum foil, however if the property owner or prior guests choose to leave these items we do not remove them. Grocery items are very expensive and operationally impossible to manage. Many guests would simply take the entire inventory on departure. We need to be able to provide single use, sanitary products to guests, in exact quantities for each arriving guests; and the costs have to be included in the flat cleaning fee (and agreeable to everyone). Not a hotel, we manage about 65 properties all over town. The 10am check-out to 4pm check-in leaves a 6 hour day to prepare all properties for the next guest arrival. Usually our workload can be arranged to accommodate some early/late check ins/outs. This depends on a number of factors such as our other guest's arrival and departure needs; or our housekeeping schedule/workload; we may have scheduled maintenance or photography, or other (possibly confidential) business in the unit which needs to be done between guests, and which affects our ability to grant your request for additional time in the unit. Our schedule changes daily. We can't know if we can allow an early check-in until we make the schedule for the day of arrival. We built a system to store these requests until then, and we try to build the schedule around approving them. When unable to grant a request, the system offers to send a notification by text message, should the unit become available early. We always strive to approve all the requests we receive, but when you have 40 properties checking in, we can only get 8-10 ready at a time, so with 10am check out (although lots of guests checking out want to leave at 11am, or 12pm, which effects us). Some arrivals can be approved for 12pm (if they didn't have a late check out), some for 1pm (maybe if they had a 11am check-out), another batch for 2:30pm (perhaps could have had a 12pm check out), and the rest by 4pm. Since everyone asks for early arrival and late departure, and since we cannot say yes to everyone, sometimes the answer has to be no, unfortunately.
