Unit 113 is the perfect choice to unwind and have one of a kind experience. This property surrounded by tropical gardens and boasts spectacular turquoise ocean and island views. The only decision to be made is which viewing spot is best, including the view from our lanai. Whale-watching, from November until April, humpback whales come to Maui to breach their young, and whale sightings from the villa are plentiful."

We enjoyed great views from our patio of the ocean, whales, and the sunset. This is a convenient location with a comfortable bed, easy parking, and friendly neighbors.

The on-site host was very friendly. Great location. Very quiet, small condo community with lots of friendly people beautiful view straight out of the unit to the ocean and steps away from the pool and a small beach.

Walking distance to restaurants and shopping and not to mention a beach park. The unit we stayed in was perfect, walk right out to the pool and watch the waves crash into the rocks out front.

Pool right at your door step, ocean front, quite guests, market is 5 minutes away with all the food you need and fresh fruits. Facility is always clean, management is wonderful!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: my husband and I have stayed here before and we still love it. I would suggest a few minor upgrades throughout to make it more enjoyable. We did have some issues with the sliding screen door on the patio coming off. I think some WD-40 on the track would greatly help, or maybe even replacing that area. A few smaller items had rust on them, likely from the salty air. Did not affect function, but would be more far more visually appealing. The dishwasher, unfortunately, was not working and a tech wasn’t able to come to repair it until after our stay. Hand washing wasn’t a big deal, but obviously would’ve been far more convenient to use the appliance. The location is perfect and we would still stay in this unit again. Fingers crossed for some upgrades in the future ;)

Reviewer Comments: I hesitate to write a review because I don’t want to let out the secret of this amazing condo complex in fear I will never be able to book again. That being said, what a magical place to stay. Our family enjoyed every minute of our stay. The condo was cozy yet roomy with a fantastic lanai, it was clean, close to shops and food, had welcoming tenets who live year round, easy parking, seconds from the private beach and public park beach, WE SWAM WITH SEA TURTLES OFF OUR PRIVATE BEACH! I saw whales breach while drinking coffee. The pool, so warm and clean. I don’t have a single complaint about Hale Kai, it was incredible.

It truly has become our home away from home❤️ We have come every year for 10+ years in Feb.- March. There are at least 6 or more repeats at that time and have become like family.Poperty is well kept. He new on site manager was so good. Valeria,the manager, is so helpful. She addressed any concerns we had.All the repeats were so impressed with her professionalism. We love her!My only complsint would be is that the pool is not would be so easy to do. Contact me for suggestion.

Great Location . . .

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: You cannot beat this location for ALL ages! The water is safe and gentle because 3 rock shelves help to buffer currents and waves. I would easily take newborns to 99 year-olds there. It is truly a beautiful, private, safe and inviting beach. The bonus is - it's a sea turtle highway! I saw at least 15 large sea turtles! One turtle in particular was larger than a Semi-truck tire! The unit weathered and worn. There are nicer units in this condo. This particular unit was a corner unit that had a great view but it was at the cost of a good night's sleep. Guests were coming and going at all hours. We heard countless car alarms, teens yelling, luggage rolling etc. The worst part = cockroaches :( Again, the location is unbeatable! If you can live with some cockroaches, lots of noise at night and a pretty outdated unit...this place is for you.

We had a nice week here. The unit is a little older and small but everything is functional and the kitchen is newer. The view from the lanai is spectacular with a clear view of Malaki, the ocean is feet away as is the pool, the ocean roars day and night and you cannot hide from the sound. The private beach is small but uncrowded.

This is our first time in 113 and we were pleasantly surprised with how nice this unit was upgraded and decorated. We also like that it was to the side of the pool, so the view was unobstructed of the ocean. The unit is on the side, so it has more windows and airflow, but it also is a little louder in the mornings with people coming and going.My only real suggestion for the unit would be more hooks to hang and dry things outside and in the bathroom area. We already booked for next year and can't wait to be back!

Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Hale Kai for over 20 years and it still has such a peaceful charm, friendly and knowledgeable office manager Melody which just makes for a perfect and relaxing paradise get-away. If not being amongst all the tourist and high end hotel hoopla then Hale Kai is the perfect place. Over the years we have stayed in many of these units at Hale Kai but 113 definitely ranks as one of the best. Come relax, enjoy all the home amenities with your own private beach, pool, BBQ and laundry room. If small and quaint is what you are look for ... look no further than Hale Kai.

Nightmare Vacation Experience

Reviewer Comments: Although this condo was wonderful, the vacation experience was marred by the horrible events of the rest of the party in Condo #103. First full day, had to get stitches when the shower door exploded. Entire vacation after that riddled with inconvenience, electric shocks, power outages, and outright fear for our safety. Have sent you a detailed account through your site for questions. same accounting that I sent to the owner, the manager, and the HOA. Hard for anyone to enjoy when half of the party is experiencing such difficulties and having to come to #113 for showers, oven use, and to get away from the horrors of #103.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Love Hale Kai been coming for over 20 years. Like the location of 113 but that is it. Place looked rundown with a disgusting bathroom and floor tile. Bed and coach are extremely uncomfortable. Bedroom is next to the sprinkler system that sounds like a freight train running at midnight - every night....Pool was nice but the pool chairs, umbrellas and pool deck are a mess. Place is getting rundown may need to find another location.
