ABOUT THE RENTAL
Step into this charming historic home, where original wood double doors open to a cozy, character-filled retreat with a touch of mid-century style. The spacious main level invites gatherings, featuring a large sectional sofa, a gas fireplace, and music on the record player—perfect for relaxing evenings with friends and family. Across the room, a ten-person dining table sits beside floor-to-ceiling original glass doors, creating the ideal setting for shared meals and conversation.

The full kitchen boasts modern appliances and connects to the laundry/mudroom, leading out to a large fenced backyard. With five unique bedrooms and seven bathrooms (4 full, 3 half), there’s plenty of space for everyone. One bedroom is located on the main floor, while the upstairs offers four more bedrooms, each with its own half bath or better for added privacy. Every bedroom includes a ceiling fan and window A/C. Need extra sleeping space? Ask about the bonus bunk room, available at no additional cost.

Just one block away, the North Western State Trail connects you to miles of biking, running, and walking paths along the Little Traverse Wheelway. Across the street, you’ll find beautiful Crooked Lake, with Northern Michigan’s favorite destinations all within easy reach. Whether you’re gathering for family fun or a group getaway, this home is sure to become a favorite.

Very spacious the kitchen was well supplied With over 10 table settings. The walking trail being only one block away was very very nice. I would recommend going to the fish hatchery. I would say Lakeview not Lakefront since you have to cross a major road so be careful if you try to cross right across from the house because the road is busy and at 45 mph but it’s a nice little park. The bedrooms were spacious and beds comfortable. being an old house it was nice and cozy though.

What an awesome house! We enjoyed our stay immensely! Out of all the properties we have stayed at, this was by far the best stocked kitchen we have used. If you needed it, you could find it! We were able to cook a full French meal and eat it in the beautiful dining room!

Lake view was wonderful, we spent a lot of time on the porch where there was plenty of seating for the 7 adults we had. Location was a short drive to Petoskey and a few wineries in the area. Everyone had their own space/bathrooms and beds were very comfortable. Would gladly book again!

The house was nicely furnished with everything we needed. The bedrooms had very good beds with comfortable linens. The kitchen was well equipped. We really enjoyed the big fenced in yard for the kids. The location was good and close to the bigger towns and the beaches.

Charming Mid-Century Cottage

Oden Home is a charming Mid-Century Cottage. It was incredibly clean which we so appreciate with children!!! It is the perfect home for several families/friends. Five bedrooms with seven bathrooms. Each bedroom had its own bathroom that provided each family their own privacy. The living and dining rooms were spacious with a dining table that was large enough for ten individuals. The kitchen had so many amenities. The hosts were fabulous and provided a guide that was detailed with great information about the cottage and surrounding area. We greatly appreciated how responsive they were to our questions. We will definitely reserve Oden House for our next family trip up north.

Quaint & Quirky with more than sufficient bathrooms (we are senior women after all) with large bedrooms and sufficient dining and living areas to critique our golf game while enjoying a cocktail.

Wonderful family getaway location

This house was wonderful for our family of 8 adults and a toddler! There were many spaces where we could spread out or all be together. The property managers were very attentive, both before and during our stay. They provided a few items that we asked about before we arrived, and the house was stocked with plenty of essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher soap, and laundry detergent. The location was close to lots of nature preserves, wineries, breweries, and if it had been warmer, water sports. Also, it was only 30 minutes to the Mackinac Island ferry. Two of our party were working remotely and the wifi worked well for them. It was an amazing experience and I would definitely stay here again!

Two did not have showers but there was one in hall. Everyone loved that. It is an older property and could use some outside work. But the charming wrap around porch made it nice on a beautiful March weekend. The place was clean except for two things we brought up to the owners. They promised to follow up on our concerns. It is a nice property for a group of 10. We enjoyed our stay. Kids want to come back next year.

Holiday Vacation

We stayed at the property this past week. As the other reviews noted, the road noise is a bit loud when sleeping, but as we were aware prior to the trip, we were able to prepare. The house was very clean and offered great space. The online description of the house was spot on. We will definitely book this property again.
