This nicely appointed 1 bedroom, 1 bath condo has wonderful open ocean views to enjoy!

The Kona Makai complex is a beautifully maintained & highly sought after Ocean Front Complex located on famous Alii Drive, just 1.3 miles from Kona town. This wonderful complex features and includes beautifully manicured tropical grounds, ocean front pool and spa, sunny lounge area, two work out rooms, eating area w/ gas BBQ’s, tennis courts, ping pong table, ample parking, and is gated during the night for security.

Nice stay

Kona Makai is well maintained and has nice amenities for when we didn't go in outing, it's family friendly and the location is perfect to be close enough to town to get groceries and dine, and far enough to rest. The unit is well equipped and comfortable, there are a couple of things that need to take care but reasonable.

Great Getaway

People were very friendly and helpful. The hosts were fabulous with all my requests. I would recommend this condo to anyone. Quiet and sirreen. Property is very well maintained. You have a great view off the lanni of the ocean. Deffinately worth the trip. Hope to see you again. Mahalo

A Wonderful Place to Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I loved staying in this unit. Beautiful ocean view, excellent pool area, quiet after 10:00. It's all here. What I especially liked is usually not mentioned in a review: nothing in the unit felt as though it had come from a home where it was not longer needed. Example: All the plates matched, silverware was from the same set, good sized cups, decent glasses, great furniture, decent decor. Also, everything was very clean. People from the Knutson Office were very responsive if we had questions or concerns. I felt like I was on a great vacation in a beautiful unit instead of a great vacation in my college dorm.

We were very impressed with all the amenities they had here. I have never stayed in a place that was so well equipped with anything you would need. Way to go with that. It was so nice to have all the beach chairs, towels umbrellas and even coolers or bags to put your things in. We definitely recommend for anyone to stay here. The grounds are very beautiful and well kept. We would for sure stay here again. Thank you,

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Kona makai is absolutely the best.I have been coming here since 1979. Learned to swim in that pool. Brought my kids here.Absolutely great place . Don't mind the pool rules so much kids need to play. It's definitely worth the stay .. I won't stay anywhere else. Each unit is great .Also bring snorkel gear you can go right out front every morning. One thing I do miss, is when they used to hang bananas in the cabana area. Was so much fun.We will be back soon.

The condo was very clean and well equipped. The view from the lanai was awesome. Great pool and hot tub. The condo association has some pretty specific rules that are designed for everyone's enjoyment. Mostly common sense/courtesy. Check an and check out was super easy. Knutson & Associates provided great communication and made the whole process very easy. Much better than a hotel and no resort fees. We will be back!

A Good Time

The floor was new laminate but poorly installed. It was not completely glued down make some of the edges sharp. A metal strip between the tile and laminate was not secure. View was great and property management was great.

Amazing & excellent!

We loved our stay; the balcony (lanai) is just heavenly, with a view on the pool/garden as well as the sea. The apartment is just as described, very clean and neat. One of the major perks of this place is the number of goodies that come with it; they have everything you can borrow to make your day just perfect, including beach umbrella, cooler for food and drinks(!), snorkeling gear, beach chairs, bodyboards etc. The apartment has laundry (and dryer), dishwasher, and AC to make life there super comfortable and easy. When staying at this apartment, you'll wake up with the sounds of the sea and birds, enjoy a nice breakfast on the balcony, and then choose to either hang around in this beautiful complex, or go on an adventure into town (3min drive) or one of the nearby beaches--so many good spots within 30min drive of this location for swimming, snorkeling, surfing, picnicking, etc., on popular busy beaches or quiet ones, whatever you prefer, it's closeby. Highly recommend this place, would definitely go back!
