The Kona Makai complex is a beautifully maintained & highly sought after Ocean Front Complex located on famous Alii Drive, just 1.3 miles from Kona town. This wonderful complex features and includes beautifully manicured tropical grounds, ocean front pool and spa, sunny lounge area, two work out rooms, eating area w/ gas BBQ’s, tennis courts, ping pong table, ample parking, and is gated during the night for security.

Highly recommend Kona Makai condos and this specific unit! Had a great week plus time there. Property and unit were convenient, comfortable, and just as advertised. Just a few minute drive to get into town. Accessing the unit was a breeze thanks to the clear communication. We will definitely consider booking the unit again should we return to the area!

Wonderful place

Very nice place. Grounds and pool well taken care of. Excellent view from lanai, love hearing waves crashing on lava rocks. Very clean with ample kitchen appliances, lenins, snorkeling stuff. Didnt see that they had boogie boards tell last day because they were hiding under bed. Probably should have been on info, who looks under a bed? Only 2 extra kitchen bags, not sure why, had to buy a box of 30 bags. Bed Probably should be taken out and shot, very used. But we slept well. Everything else was Primo.

What I especially liked is usually not mentioned in a review: nothing in the unit felt as though it had come from a home where it was not longer needed. Example: All the plates matched, silverware was from the same set, good sized cups, decent glasses, great furniture, decent decor. Also, everything was very clean. People from the Knutson Office were very responsive if we had questions or concerns. I felt like I was on a great vacation in a beautiful unit instead of a great vacation in my college dorm.

Everything you need friendly neighbors and quiet. Ideal place for a couple that wants to explore the island and yet have a pool and a nice option of activities right around your condo. Very clean kitchen was Ambly stocked with all of the tools needed. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

The floor was new laminate but poorly installed. It was not completely glued down make some of the edges sharp. A metal strip between the tile and laminate was not secure. View was great and property management was great.

Appartment an toller Lage mit wunderschönem Meeresblick

Die Lage des Appartements ist sehr zentral und nahe zum StĂ€dtchen Kailua-Kona, nachts ist es sehr ruhig, einzig das Meeresrauschen ist zu hören. Den Balkon haben wir rege genutzt. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, vom Garten bis zum Poolbereich. Die Agentur hat sich sehr gut um uns gekĂŒmmert und war jederzeit erreichbar. Das Appartment ist sehr gut eingerichtet, komfortabel und war sehr sauber. Warum dann nur 4 von 5 Sternen? Die Anlage wurde Mitte 70er Jahre gebaut. Die Wohnung ist teilrenoviert, der Schlafzimmerteppich und die KĂŒche (GerĂ€te sind zwar neu) wĂŒrden jedoch ein Update vertragen.

Amazing & excellent!

We loved our stay; the balcony (lanai) is just heavenly, with a view on the pool/garden as well as the sea. The apartment is just as described, very clean and neat. One of the major perks of this place is the number of goodies that come with it; they have everything you can borrow to make your day just perfect, including beach umbrella, cooler for food and drinks(!), snorkeling gear, beach chairs, bodyboards etc. The apartment has laundry (and dryer), dishwasher, and AC to make life there super comfortable and easy. When staying at this apartment, you'll wake up with the sounds of the sea and birds, enjoy a nice breakfast on the balcony, and then choose to either hang around in this beautiful complex, or go on an adventure into town (3min drive) or one of the nearby beaches--so many good spots within 30min drive of this location for swimming, snorkeling, surfing, picnicking, etc., on popular busy beaches or quiet ones, whatever you prefer, it's closeby. Highly recommend this place, would definitely go back!
