My wife and I have come to the IronMan World Championships for several years now as part of her affiliation with ART, and we always stay in rental properties rather than a hotel. This is a quaint spot with a terrific view and access to the shore via the adjoining property public access paths. The "beach" isn't a sand beach, it's volcanic rock that leaves fabulous tide pools to view wildlife like crabs and fish. Lots of mudskippers and tropical fish in the pools. For two people the space is excellent. The kitchen is equipped well enough you can cook for yourselves with no major tools missing. The layout is great, isn't cramped, but is cozy, especially for two.The only drawback we had with this particular property is unlike other condos we've stayed in on Alii, this unit doesn't face into the prevailing October winds. That means a lot of days there isn't much opportunity to get the cross-breeze through the unit that you really want if you're like me and run "hot". The importance of this is like most places in Hawaii, there is no unit air conditioning (in case you haven't experienced that). The host does provide multiple fans which we made use of throughout our stay, without which I personally would have been pretty miserable b/c temps and humidity were high this year. So kudos for sure on that!Having an individual parking space assigned to the unit was awesome, and something that we haven't seen much, and it's a huge help during race week for sure.
