This was a nice place have stayed before, only issue was a rude gentleman nit sure what his job was on premises he had a broom and was on the stairway and was not very nice to my husband, never had anyone do that before typically all individuals are terribly friendly. Liked the condo, check in easy and would stay again
Great stay. Only thing was we paid extra for late checkout at 12:00 noon, and cleaning lady showed up early twice. Once at 9 am and the other time at 11 am. She did not know about late checkout. Checked out on time but felt a little pushed.
The parking situation was a disaster - Expedia was unaware of the correct parking passes needed. We spent hours battling with security in the parking lot about this. Also, the ceiling fan in the living area had been shattered across the floor when we arrived and a technician never showed up to repair it. The man that was sleeping on the pull out couch kept overheating each night.
Immediately upon arrival, we had trouble opening the door. Not because of the lock but because itâs SO hard to open - like I wish I would have brought football pads hard. Equally as hard to close. Once inside, I was certain we were in the wrong condo. Nothing looked the same. Even the furniture was different. There was dirty laundry in the floor and dirty dishes. The floor didnât look like it had been swept or mopped. I then texted the number that we were given for issues. No one replied for over 2 hours. We were in the correct place. They offered to send a cleaning crew out the NEXT day. I was traveling with 2 adults and 5 kids. If you have kids, you know how much trouble that would have been for us to pick everything back up and get out of the way. We didnât feel comfortable with someone coming in when our belongings were there. Not to mention COVID.
Also, in a condo listed for 8 people, youâll find ONE chair on the balcony. Thatâs literally it. Not cool if you like to sit and drink coffee out there.
Now the building overall was a great location. It was the last building before the public beach, so it was not crowded at all. The building seemed to be taken care of. The only downfall was that there was no restroom (that I could find) by the pools, so we had to go back up to our condo several times. I didnât mind that, but heads up for the people would.
Bottom line is I would stay in a different condo in the same building. I do not plan to ever use Southern Vacation Rentals again though.
