Perfect Getaway

This condo is in a great location close to the pier, restaurants and stores. The beach isn’t busy with Gulf Shores State park on the other side.

Spring break

This was our first time visiting Gulf shores . We came with several families who all rented a condo at this location. It was very convenient to restaurants and stores. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. We will definitely be back.

My best friend and I had a week's vacation and our stay at this beautiful condo was wonderful! The cleanliness was spot on. We went grocery shopping instead of eating out and we don't regret it! The kitchen was fully stocked to cook anything to everything! The large balcony was awesome as well.

Great week

The condo was perfect. The only thing bad I could say is that we rented this place bc it had an inside pool for when it stormed. However, you can not be in the inside pool when it’s storming the pipes are connected. So they kick you out and lock it up. The condo and beach were perfect. We would definitely stay here again. We could never get the tv in the guest room to work but it was fine.

Sliding door would not lock, two balcony chairs broken, vertical blinds were missing several slats, king mattress needs replacing, front bathroom towel bar broken, it appeared that someone had tried to break into locked door inside laundry room. However, place was clean, plenty of towels, good ice maker, tv worked well. Had everything we needed.

Thank you for your feedback. We have to admit, it gave us a bit of a chuckle — the sun most definitely shines on the pool past 1 p.m.; it just depends on the time of year and the position of the earth. The good news? The sand here is made of quartz crystal, which is why it stays cool under your feet even in the hottest sun. The boardwalk, on the other hand, can splinter, so yes — shoes are a smart move. And as for the security guard, he’s there to keep the property safe, not to perform a comedy show or dance a jig. If these were the biggest hurdles of your stay, we’d say you did pretty well. We hope the rest of your time by the Gulf was filled with sunshine, relaxation, and great memories, and we’d love to welcome y’all back anytime.

Needs a few things

We enjoyed Royal Palms. The weather was nice and the location is great. The unit could use more kitchen towels (there was only one) and trash bags (we only had one). And there were no pot holders at all. The floors were not very clean but the beds in the condo was comfortable and had all the room we needed.

Jay, thank you for the review! We are glad you enjoyed the beds in the condo! The supplies provided in the condo are listed multiple times on our website and throughout the booking process. It states that we provide one of everything, i.e dishwashing tab, laundry detergent, trash bags, etc. and that after these run out you will need to provide your own! You also receive that information in your guestbook upon booking and 7 days before you arrive, so you have ample time to plan what you'll need for your vacation. We wish you would've called us about the potholders and kitchen towels while you were here as we could have delivered some to you! We have added these into the condo for any future guests, hopefully including you next year! Thank you for choosing Beach Getaways!

Orange beach

The room has a great view and location is great! The condo is the last one so there isn't a lot traffic on the beach. The condo itself wasn't as great as I thought with a water leak before I got there, dishes in the cabinets were still dirty so we had to hand wash what we were going to use. The beds were really hard and uncomfortable to where my body would ache in the morning. Overall not bad.

Can’t beat the location

The location of this property was great, right on the beach. There were only two of us so the size was perfect. We slept with the bedroom window open every night so we could hear the ocean. Between the sound and the comfortable bed, we slept really well. There are a few things that need attention - the wireless connection was horrible! We had to use our phone hotspots to get on the internet. Blinds need to be replaced as some are missing. The microwave door handle is broken and overall very yellowish. In the master bedroom there was only one bedside table and it didn’t work. Some general updates are needed.

Great location but…

Location is everything right?!? This condo is perfectly located next to the state park making it perfect for walks and less traffic while you’re sitting enjoying the water. But let’s go inside the condo. First of all, the condo was decorated in the early 2000s and is sorely in need of an update: palm trees, wicker furniture, wallpaper border that’s literally falling off the wall. The floors were not clean as our feet were black within an hour. Clorox cleanup would do wonders on the dirty grout. There was not enough towels. I had to wash several times during our stay. But the very worst part was the beds. THEY ARE HARD! On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being a hard floor, those beds were an 8. We tossed and turned all night and took ibuprofen with our coffee. I know to each his own on beds, but be forewarned that these mattresses are FIRM. We will not stay in this condo again.

We had a great time. Every single thing worked in the condo. That really matters when you have a big family. View was beautiful. Very private. Furniture was outdated but that didn’t effect Our stay. We will come back!

Terrible

The worst condo I’ve ever had!! Shades broken, one closet had so much junk in it we couldn’t hang our clothes in it, the mattress cover actually had mildew on it, the balcony door wouldn’t lock,had 4 wash cloths for 3 people for 7 days, the fridge and air conditioner made so much noise you could hardly sleep!! Oh and let’s don’t forget the painter told my friend she had to get off the balcony!!!! REALLY????? The elevator smelled so bad!!!! I will never stay there again!! I expect a parcial refund!!! Also had to leave 2 days early because of hurricane!

Wonderful

The condo was very nice, had all utensils needed if someone wanted to cook, had coffee pot, etc. It was overall clean— I know it’s difficult thing to get rid of, but sand was on the floor and in the beds. I feel as if housekeeping was cleaning them properly, there certainly would not have been sand in the beds… I can be a bit more understanding about the floors. The place is also pretty outdated; not a big deal for us, but could be for someone reading this review. Nonetheless, nice condo, great views, had all we needed. I would suggest though driving down to Orange Beach for food. Many places had terrible service(due to pandemic) and food came out cold.

Fantastic location, good condo

The location of Royal Palms can't be beat! It's right in the heart of things so very close to shops, restaurants, etc. but the State Park is directly to the east, so that really helped cut down on crowding at the beach by having that east side open and without another big condo complex next to you on one side. The specific 1205 unit is a great layout, but could use some attention. Decor is a little dated, like it hasn't seen many updates in the past 15-20 years. Owners could stand do to a walk through and see what needs repair & replacing. Easy, not that expensive things would make a difference, such as replace broken plastic balcony furniture, a new toaster, making sure there are things like measuring cups still have the full set, etc. It wouldn't take much to take it from good to great! We enjoyed our stay there and would definitely go back to the Royal Palms complex! The specific unit could use a little TLC, but it still more than met our needs for a wonderful week at the beach!

We do apologize for the housekeeping issues you experienced when you first arrived and were glad that you called us so that we might come back to address anything that was missed before. Condo Review

When we walked in, it reeked of cigarette odor. Had to go buy sprays to try and reduce the Oder. The patio door wouldn’t lock, so had to buy a pole to secure it. Half the plug-in outlets don’t work. The closest in the master bedroom had a huge mirror, ironing board, piles of cover on the floor, a broken good size lamp and a vaccine cleaner in it. I had to move most of it out, so we could hang our clothes up. I wouldn’t touch the covers piled up. The living room furniture still had food crumbs and the burners on the stove had food under them. The glass on all the tables needed cleaning. First condo we have ever stayed in, where you didn’t have a broom! Non-smoking and brand new is just false advertisement! The unit needs a good cleaning and maintenance done.

Once you called, the housekeeper came right back to the condo to re-clean and bring fresh linens. Beach Get Away

Great view and location. Comfortable furniture and beds. Was disappointed the pool was closed however enjoyed the beach. Have stayed in this building on several occasions before and always find it perfect. It has all you need and is not a large complex so your beach is not crowded. We will return. 12th floor view is fabulous.

Really enjoyed it but.........

We loved this unit and we want to rent again. You might want to address the following details with the owner: Refrigerator filter light is on because needs replacing Vent fan in bathroom doesn’t work Did not have tv for two days all TVs had to be reprogrammed by the cable company. Cable man said master bedroom tv would not work and needs replacing. Other TVs have to turn on and change channels with two different remotes because of age of tv Wallpaper borders coming loose Plastic chaise lounge on balcony is brittle and someone could get cut Floors were dirty when we arrived and there was not a broom or a mop available for me to use, only vacuum cleaners which did not do the job Air conditioner made a loud funny noise when running We loved the layout and the location and we definitely want to rent again but these things need attention

Excellent location and great view

The balcony was wonderful and the location was very convenient. The unit was very clean and communication with management was easy and efficient. We would rent this unit again when in the area.

Amazing facility!

Perfection!! Great location and the beach was never crowded. The only issues were a broken DVD player and an incorrect WIFI password was provided. These issues were quickly handled. The AC unit knocks when it’s running, but it’s not too loud. The view from the balcony and master bedroom were always stunning. We never got bored with the view! The furniture is comfortable, master bedroom mattress a bit hard. Bathrooms are great and the kitchen and the amenities provided were perfect. We plan to come back!
