Located on a tree-lined street in the heart of Sunset Island, 43 Canal Walk is a peaceful oasis for your next Ocean City getaway. This five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom, 2,500-square-foot townhouse has plenty of room for relaxing together, yet it offers privacy as well - a great space for multi-family vacations.

The open-concept kitchen, dining area, and living room feature a balcony on one side and an enclosed porch on the other. Sit outside with your morning coffee or evening drinks as you soak up the sea air and the quaint island ambience. This four-story property is well-appointed and fully equipped with all the comforts of home, including two main bedroom suites, free WiFi, four TVs with DVD players, and parking for three cars. All of this is just a short walk from the pools, clubhouse, corner store, fountains, and the other fantastic amenities of Sunset Island.

Conveniently located just a short walk from the pools, clubhouse, and private bayfront beaches, this Sunset Island home offers access to an endless number of activities right within the community gates. The community features an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a kiddie pool, three private beaches, a center, boat slips, a crabbing pier, the Island Cafe and Pool Bar, a general store, 24-hour security with gated access, and an interactive fountain. When you're ready to venture out into town, this great 67th Street location puts you just a few blocks from famous Ocean City hotspots and a short drive from the Ocean City Boardwalk, outlet shopping, world-class golf courses, movie theaters, casinos, and other attractions for all ages. And at only three blocks from the Atlantic Ocean, this 37-acre private community is surrounded by the bay on three sides, giving you tranquil scenery throughout the day and breathtaking views at sunset.

Things to Know
A building registration fee includes six facility passes and three parking passes. Additional facility passes are $70 per pass, per person per week. Children three and under do not require a facility pass. The fees are the following: January 1 - April 30 and October – December 31 = $100. May 1 - May 25 = $150. Sunday before Memorial Day, May 26 to Saturday after Labor Day, September 7 = $200. September 8 - September 30 = $150.
Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 3 vehicles.

Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great Home, many rules for community

43 Canal Walk Ln is a great property that has lots of space and amenities that you and your guests will love. The community rules for the pools and beach were kind of wacky. Security at the front entrance were “top flight”, one of them at the main gate was a little egregious. The 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths were perfect for all!!

Nice neighborhood, plenty of space

We enjoyed are stay and really enjoyed the pool and beach areas - the community is very nice and quiet. The house worked for us but is in serious need of some TLC. There were lots of scuffs/marks on the walls and closets and looked like it had not been painted for many years. The toilet holder in the hall bathroom on the 3rd floor kept falling off the wall completely. There were missing and damaged blinds on a couple of the doors. Many deadbolts/locks were not working. It was not possible to enter the garage from the outside or to close the garage door once you pulled a vehicle out -- we had to open the garage door from inside then drive the vehicle out of the garage and reenter the house from the front door in order to close the garage door before we could leave...and then do the reverse when we returned -- it was a bit of a hassle. The location of the house is nice and we really enjoyed the rockers on the balcony off the living room.

Great community as expected, main living area was decent, bedrooms had old carpet, beds had comforters from the 90’s, bedrooms in general looked beat up and sketchy. Cleaning crew did a good job, but bedrooms need an upgrade at this price point.

This place FILTHY!

This is not as listed - the images must be 10+ years old. This place is beat up and gross. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in ages, it was filthy when we arrived. Two of the toilet seats were cracked, a sippy cup and toys were left from the prior occupant, the kitchen utensils and pots and pans are gross, not clean and very very old. The towel bars are coming off the wall, the showers are moldy....this was not worth the rental charge. Stay SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!! Sunset island is lovely, but there are a lot more rules at the pool than every before.

Just okay

Property is located in a pleasant resort community with pool and bayside beach access. Parking is tight and limited. The location is convenient to the ocean and restaurants and shopping. The unit we rented was fine but not overwhelming. A four-story townhouse, the air conditioning never seemed to cool off the fourth floor, which was steamy, but made the first floor uncomfortably cold. Furniture in the living room is worn and should be replaced. Pots and pans are also very worn making them difficult to use and clean. Ice dispenser in the refrigerator would freeze and jam and should be serviced or adjusted. If there were garage door openers, they were not to be found. Beach chairs in the garage are all rusty and should be replaced. Cleaning crew was not thorough and trash from previous guests was left behind.

Sunset townhouse

The townhouse had a very good layout. The silicone pans all had bad scratches and digs in them, so we did not want to cook anything in them, unless we had to. Many of the dishes were chipped. The downstairs bedroom had empty beer cans in the drawers, as well as used blankets, which is not the owners fault. I don't think the cleaning people are required to check the drawers. The place could use some overall sprucing up, but the location was good and the A/C worked very well. The owners responded very quickly when I asked for information before our trip. We really missed having a grill and we noticed that some other people (owners, I think) had grills. The small bay beaches were great for the small children.
