Walk to Brennecke's Beach, Poipu Beach Park, Kiahuna Beach, Shipwreck Beach, the Hyatt beach, and more. Restaurants in walking distance include Brennecke's Beach Broiler and Kalapaki Joe's, both Kauai classics you won't want to miss. Our Poipu rentals at Kahala at Poipu Kai share a wide variety of resort amenities. Kahala has its own swimming pool and jacuzzi and shares tennis courts with other units at the Poipu Kai complex. The tennis courts and pool are conveniently close to Kahala 123. A pleasant stroll through the grounds brings you to Brennecke's beach, and to the Poipu Beach Park just on the other side of that. The Poipu Beach Park is a sheltered white sand beach that's perfect for children to wade and swim.

Several dining options are also within walking distance, like Kalapaki Joe's, the westernmost sports bar and grill in the United States! A very short walk across the grounds and you'll be able to enjoy happy hour, Taco Tuesdays, poke bowls, burgers and more. Brennecke's Beach Broiler is only a couple minutes farther on foot. You can enjoy your day at the beach then stop in for anything from shave ice to sushi, or some of the best fish and chips around.

Kahala 123 is a spacious 1br/1ba with an ocean view. There are lovely wood floors throughout, and a private lanai where you can enjoy an informal al fresco meal while watching the ocean. The full kitchen means you can prepare your own meals and dine privately at home, though if you want to go out, Kalapaki Joe's is really close and Brennecke's Beach Broiler about a 10 minute walk. The bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed. The dining area seats 4. While the bedroom and bathroom have not had recent updates, they are fully functional and meticulously clean.

Air conditioning in bedroom only. It is a portable air conditioner and is not intended to cool the whole the unit. It will work best if all bedroom doors are shut.

This is an upstairs condo so you need to be able to go up and down stairs. There are no elevators.

Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party.

Great quiet location with a short walk to 2 nice beaches; Brennecke's and Poipu. Beach chairs and umbrella included in closet.Kitchen adequately stocked for cooking, and outdoor grill was clean and worked well.The bed and pillows weren't the most comfortable.Air mattresses were in closet if you plan to have more than 2 people.

We had a wonderful 11 day stay. Location was perfect, we snorkeled at Poipu every morning before heading out to explore the island.

Great location for seeing the sights but the unit gets very hot. We tried everything to keep it cool. Thank goodness for the AC in the bedroom that’s where we stayed most of the time. The unit itself is dated but functional.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the location! Just perfect. It was easy to find and had no problem finding it late at night. We used the swimming pool and hot tube every night. The condo was clean except for the bath tub which need a deep cleaning. Tried to find some cleanser or scrubbing bubbles. Also, the toilet moved overtime we stood up. Yea, I’m not a big girl. Anyways, I don’t want to be critical because it was a perfect location.

Excellent location & communication from host

My wife and I loved our stay here. Great access to Poipu, and the check-in was very easy. The management company called us multiple times to make sure how we were doing, which was very helpful.

Amazing view

Really enjoyed my time at this residence. 5 min walk to beach, with amazing ocean view from back patio. This was a great stay that I recommend for any other travelers to Poipu.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Let me start by saying the grounds, view and location are great in Poipu. How ever upon arrival several not so good things. Had to call for more toilet paper right away, loose toilet when sitting, air conditioning only in queen bed room, rest of condo super hot. floor fans worked ok, one was broken. chipped coffee cups, teflon pans coating peeling severely causes lead flakes in food. Coffee maker leaks every time you pour coffee! Floors needed to be mopped. This unit is nice but needs some care for sure!

Convenient and well equipped.

The location is well located for exploring and easy to get in and out of, an important factor during busy times. It’s close the pool and an easy walk to Kalapaki Joe’s. The downside is the pool can get noisy in the evening until it closes at 10pm and the south facing lanai can get pretty hot during the day. All that said, after the sun goes down and the pool empties, it’s a real delight with a great view.

Great place, however unable to access local news or weather cable not work. We did contact the front desk, but nothing was ever done. Room needs a wine opener.

The location’s great and the unit is spacious. However, it was SO hot, that it was impossible to enjoy it. We were supposed to cook our meals, but didn’t want to spend the time there. It says AC in the headline & the amenities list, but it’s only a small portable AC in the bedroom (with the heat coming back from the window). It actually says this on the text paragraph, I guess it’s my fault that I didn’t pay enough attention and trusted the headline/amenities list. It was so hot that we would have moved at our own cost but nothing was really available in Poipu area. Stayed at the end of July.
