We stayed the Lady Virginia for my moms 84 birthday. It was just mom , my brother and us 4 sisters . We had a wonderful relaxing time. The house was beautiful and clean . We really just hung out and laughed and talked for the weekend . We went to nearby Brix and Columns winery which was really nice . Scot and Paul are amazing hosts and everything you need is available. They were so sweet and helped us enjoy our weekend by providing restaurant links and their options

Pet friendly eclectic home with spa

Great house! Excellent mix of art deco and modern. Hosts were fantastic. Perfect location to chill for a couple days on our journey from Florida to NY. Mountains and parks just beautiful.

Lovely Home

This home was very spacious and wonderfully decorated. Plenty of beds and very well stocked. The hot tub and patio were fantastic. Scot is great and was easy to get in touch with. We would definatly stay here again!

My stay was a wonderful experience. The property was beautiful as you pull into the driveway. We came after sun down and it was absolutely gorgeous. Space was clean and cute.

Modern Vintage Delight!

This house was a perfect home away from home. We used it as a home base while skiing at Massanutten as it was only a short drive away. Scot was an amazing host and checked in to make sure things were great our entire stay. I highly recommend staying here. It was extremely cozy and close to all the things in the area. We are already planning our trip back!

Cute home. Great hot tub. Beds are firm if you prefer that. Close enough to all the local spots you want to hit. Definitely try the ice cream shop down the street.

The property was great. Some suggestions would be, install chair height toilets for us older quests and clean the stove. For appearances the gutters on the back need fixed and the copula is ready to fall off.

Great Weekend Get Away

This was the perfect place for our family and friends to stay. The home is very quaint with lovely decor and stocked well for guests. We had plenty of space to cook, sleep and hangout. The back patio was nice and quiet and private for sitting and relaxing, and enjoying the hot tub. Our dog loved running in the yard too. Just a short walk from a few local restaurants and shops was convenient. Scot and Paul our hosts were very welcoming and responsive to all our questions. Overall fantastic property and enjoyed our stay!

Everything was perfect for what we were looking for!!! Four middle age women on a weekend away!!! The house was amazing, kitchen had everything and then some, beds were so comfy, hot tub was grand, spent alot of time on the outdoor patio!!!! Ate at some local places that we completely enjoyed and a little shopping at the general store. There is a lot that we didn’t do or explore but we went for R&R and that is exactly what we asked for!!!! Next time we will factor in the wineries! Scot and Paul are the absolute perfect hosts!!

We stayed here for a long weekend for a Bachelorette trip in Shenandoah. Overall, the accommodations were great but a few things were missing when we arrived (sponge, cutting board, etc.). The hosts were incredibly helpful though and brought us the missing items within an hour of notifying them! We did try using the fire pit our last night there, but it was out of propane and it was too late to get more. Everything else was great!

Overall this property is fantastic! The house is old, but well kept and very clean. It feels cozy and relaxing. The appliances are definitely a little out dated but seem to work just fine. Be prepared to put your body into opening the sliding doors. We loved our master bed, but some of our friends said the other beds were hard. We also had a hard time with the couch/bed. Bring an air mattress - it’s just easier. I’d also say to bring extra blankets/towels. There were just enough for everyone to get one. The house is off of a busy road so you will hear cars driving by, but it isn’t obnoxious and you’re so high on the hill you don’t see them. The fire pit, grill and hot tub were all easy to use and clean! Great features to add to your stay! The house fit all 7 adults and 2 kids well, was very clean, a 15 min drive to hiking trails and close enough to still drive to town. Absolutely would stay here again!

Such a lovely home. We had a great stay at this beautiful property. Everything is well maintained and the owners have done a great job at keeping the charm. The town itself is a bit rundown, but once on the property you feel completely removed. Would absolutely stay at this property again.

Notes:The house was very dated: old kitchen, bathrooms, old furniture, old accessories, etc. The refrigerator was old, no ice maker, freezer was in bad shape. Doors squeaked badly. The micro-wave was a cheep model & very small.Grass was mowed but foundation plant beds not maintained: weeds, vines, trim.Lawn keeper showed up while we were at the house: disrupted the days stay.The community was not what I expected, older homes, trailers & traffic noise.Limited bathroom linens & they were old but were clean.The house was very clean & arranged well but not worth the rental cost. This is not what I expect from Vrbo rentals but will continue to look to Vrbo for rental homes.Thanks for your time,Ron

Thank you so much for your review, Ron. I am a bit perplexed by your review. Our photos very accurately represent the property. The property is advertised as vintage, because it is. As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. There is a countertop ice maker right beside the kitchen sink. Did you not see this? We have tried to price the nightly rate based upon the local market. We are easily less $75-$100 per night compared to comparable homes. The lawn keeper is literally at the property 45 minutes. I am so sorry that this disrupted you. I know that we have two large bushes at the end of the driveway that are scheduled to be removed, as it appears they have been diseased. We are waiting for our lawn company to get this on their schedule. The property was booked with two guests. There were eight sets of bathroom linens left to be used. Additionally, we send a welcome email the morning after check-in to make sure that our guests are happy with the accommodations. I did not hear back. In closing, I am very sorry that the property did not meet your expectations. We do take our reviews to heart.
