Devon communicated well before I arrived. Met me at the house. told me to text if there were issues. No welcome booklet.. Broken windows with glass falling, water leaking from 2nd floor into kitchen, not enough linens on the beds, no linens for the sofa bed, one bedroom no door, poison ivy at the entry of the walkway, one toilet broken. HOT WATER STOPPED ON THIRD DAY. Devon was completely unresponsive to my texts. We left a day early. I am demanding a refund.
The kitchen appliances work and there are dishes and it's clean.

From the apps end, I was told everything was ready. I was provided an address a passcode to get in and a Wi-Fi pass code. Upon arriving at the house, I was greeted by the owner, who told me that he had canceled the reservation. I had not received any cancellation and I showed him VBRO and the confirmation. He said give himself 24 hours to get it cleaned. I left hopeful that he would get the house cleaned and at most I would only lose one night. He never provided a confirmation that the house was ready and we lost our whole weekend. Iâve sent an email requesting a refund and I am very disappointed with the lack of communication. Itâs all very much like a scam.
Unfortunately, the property manager cancelled our reservation 8 hours prior to our check in, citing "damage" done by the prior guest. I understand that things happen but we were left to scramble for a different place to stay with essentially no notice. I booked this property several months in advance. I would have preferred the property manager call me and discuss what the damage was, that perhaps we could have stayed there anyway. We would have gladly overlooked the damage if we were given a heads up. My call and email to the property manager were not returned. Yes, I was issued a full refund but I think the situation could have been managed differently.
