Come enjoy this beautiful Cape, centrally located in a quintessential, family-oriented neighborhood in walking distance of restaurants & 12 minutes from downtown New Haven. Upon entering you'll find a spacious living area with large windows, and ample seating. Also on this level are a large main bedroom with king size bed, & second bedroom with a queen size bed, spacious eat in kitchen & dining room. The finished lower level features a den, full bathroom & laundry. Backyard is large enough for kids or pets to run around and his nice seating area
The house was charming, very spacious and clean, had everything we needed even a back yard with a nice seating area and the neighborhood was quiet, easy to access. Not far from places to eat or groceries. Aliene was an excellent host, she answered my text quickly everytime and was very gracious to help us out when we needed it. I would recommend her to anyone needing a nice clean quiet house to stay in. If we have tournaments in Connecticut again next year I'm definitely booking her house.
We were in town for our daughterâs white coat ceremony at Quinnipiac. We were located in a good area with easy access to the campus and restaurants. The house was clean and met our needs. Our host was responsive to all our questions.
We found this house to be the perfect spot just outside downtown New Haven. We did need a car, but the location was great. We had easy access to main roads, downtown, and there was sufficient local restaurants and stores for stocking the house. The unit was as it appeared and the host was responsive and helpful when needed.
We stayed here for a long weekend when we came to see our child's graduation, and it was absolutely fantastic. The place had great living spaces and was outfitted with everything we needed. Check-in/out was super easy, and the host was attentive to our messages. We highly recommend.
Close to the Bowl and campus, this had everything we needed. As New Haven hotel prices get out of hand, a place like this was a real find. Check out Pistachio Coffee in Westville nearby!
This was my second stay here and it went very well, yet again. Alioune really knows how to take care of the guest and responds extremely quick to any questions that are sent. The place is great. Very close to everything you are going to need and has plenty of space. Very adequate number of bed/bathrooms. I can't say enough. I'll be staying here again when I'm traveling to New Haven. 5-stars.
I had a great stay at this VRBO. Tons of room for my partner, dog, and me for the weekend. I love the outside space and made use of the desk in the basement to work virtually on my last day at this place. If you need a place with multiple rooms, this is a great fit.
Host was very responsive. The place was clean. An older home with lots of space. Beds were comfortable. Thank you for the welcome snacks! It hit the spot after traveling coast to coast.
We were in the area for a graduation and the house was just what we needed. There was some space in the back (we brought a portable grill) and were able to cookout. Beds were comfortable, kitchen, living and dining area were all a good amount of space.. Easy access to many things .
Where do i begin, on a last minute trip to CT we chose this place we needed a comfy place for the pups and wanted the privacy that a house afforded. This place checked all the boxes, exceeded our expectations and felt so comfortable the moment we walked in. Tne neighborhood wasquiet and beautiful, the house open, spacious and well appointed. I love the fenced in yard for the pups and a nice backyard area when the weather is nice. Overall this place is an absolute gem and we'll be back!
This was my first experience renting a home for vacation purposes, and I must say if this homeowner is involved I say yes! It feels like being in your own home, conveniently located to shopping malls, grocery stores. The only missing element was central air, otherwise if looking for a temporary place you can call home, this is/was it.
Good property with lots of spacious bedrooms, kitchen, dining room and family room. Host was great to deal with. It was missing some key things. Kitchen needed a few essentials to enable stay at home cooking; enough cutlery for a family of 4, spatual, cutting board, pasta strainer, scissors. Listing should make it clean that the coffee maker was a Kuerig style as not everyone uses that type. Also could benefit from a dishwasher and a BBQ. Basement was very damp and musty which was a deterant from using. The 2nd bathroom in the basement had a stand up shower that needed a lot of TLC; pretty much unusable.
The house was clean and comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cook ware, sheets, towels, and blankets clean. Communication with the host was quick, check in was easy.
Only gave it 3 stars for a few reasons. The sofa and love seat in the livingroom were both pretty smelly when we first get there. Some Fabreeze took care of that. The bathroom downstairs has a shower no one was willing to use. It really should be replaced. The second day it was kind of cold outside and we couldn't get the heat to come on; thermostats didn't work. Overall it appeared that the owner is just getting started at this. We hope as he/she gets more bookings the house will get some upgrades. If you're looking for a clean house in a quiet neighborhood for a reasonable price, this could be your pick. If you're looking for a 5 star place, keep looking
I really enjoyed this place. It is close to everything that you'll need. Especially a big, local supermarket as well as Wooster Street (best pizza in the country!). The property owner is an excellent communicator and the house has everything that you'll need. I feel bad that I waited until I finished my entire trip to give this review. 5-stars.
It was an awesome place to stay as we went out and explored.
If ibwere to recommend anything it would be to gave a guest book and a binder with local attractions including restaurants and menus.
