This is a beautiful place and really exactly as described. Itâs quiet and very private. The living space is clean and comfortable. The only downside is that the bedroom is in a loft on the second floor while the bathroom is downstairs. This was not a problem for us, and itâs described in the write-up. The small pool is beautiful, and thereâs a roll-out awning over a deck. My wife and I felt right at home. Itâs a ten-minute walk to the downtown, or a two-minute drive, again, just as described. Sabine and Alexandre were also very responsive when we had questions for them. We both like this apartment a lot.
Perfect property if you are seeking a relaxing, quiet St. Martin experience - close enough to the beach but without the crowds. Host was terrific and very accommodating. We will be back!
Great property. Having the small private pool was fantastic. Property was as described except for the stairs which we feel should be listed as very steep. We have no limitations and we were worried everytime we went up and down that one of us would fall. We didnât see a washer/dryer as listed. The rep told us where the closest laundromat was! A couple staying there ended up showing us the laundry on property and how to get out of the gate manually because the rain shorted it out. Loungers weâre rotten and should be replaced as they were unusable. Aside from those few issues the location, overall property and privacy was excellent amd we had a great vacation
The property was great. Close to everything - shopping, beaches. Was quiet and was affordable . Management was very responsive and friendly. Free laundry on site. Pool was really lovely to have to cool off. Enjoyed spending time on the patio watching the gekkos while eating our breakfast or having a coffee from the fantastic nespresso machine .
We love the neighborhood it was located in. Nice and quiet. Sidewalks to walk on. You could walk to the beach and shops. The whole island is close to everything. We had a wonderful stay.
Everything regarding this place was as advertised
The television is French only so I suggest bringing a firestick this is not uncommon when booking a place to stay on the French side
They had a few electric adapters again I suggest bringing a few extra as someone who's been to st maarten many times
The pool was nice to have in the evening while the beach was walkable we preferred the c/o beach so the 5 minute drive was better suited for us
If you're looking for somewhere peaceful with a small pool this property is ideal - A/C only in the bedrooms but me and my guests did not use it during our stay we enjoyed the fresh air while we were sleeping
The landlord was very friendly and great with communication
Ideally located property, with everything you could possibly need. Well maintained and well stocked. They even supplied some beach toys and umbrellas. The kitchen had everything we needed to make some nice meals and the BBQ was a nice touch. The little pool was just the right size for the kids to stay cool and entertained. It's in a safe and secure location in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Hopefully we will be able to return one day.
The property is good, we loved two separate bedrooms, enjoyed the tiny pool, kitchen has pretty much everything we need. The stairs though are very narrow and makes terrible noise when you walk them.
I must admit that property looks much better in pictures.
Also, what surprised us - some hidden fees (cash over 100 US or EU) for cleaning (which never happened during our stay and you must take your own garbage and they won't give you additional garbage bags, you have to buy them yourself) ) and government taxes. It would've been nice to know about these fees in advance (best if mentioned in the description).
The ladies were nice and helpful.
The property is in a very good and safe location.
Absolutely wonderful and totally met our expectations. We found that previous reviews were correct. The villa is very private, other naturists were neighbors and we all respected one anotherâs privacy. It was a very easy walk to the beach and to the village which has most everything one needs. Very good grocery store and liquor store , plus wonderful restaurants. Biggest downside was bedrooms on second floor with bathrooms on first floor, so one must be able to easily handle stairs. With patio doors to bedrooms we rarely use the AC units. WiFi was excellent and allowed streaming to laptops or phone. French TV was of no value to us. All in all, our stay was excellent and we hope to return. Suzon was a very helpful manager to us.
Lovely townhouse style rental but a couple downsides for Americans.
The rental is very nice but there are a couple things that arenât up to American standards.
1. There is no air condition unit on the downstairs floor where the living room / kitchen / bathroom is located. There are two AC units (European style on the wall near the ceiling) one in each bedroom upstairs. If these are left at the lowest temperature possible and the bedroom doors left open then the downstairs is comfortable then. This doesnât work at night unless you donât mind the sun waking you up at 6 AM and sleeping in an igloo. We ended up really not using the downstairs at all for relaxing.
2. The TV only has French cable - not even one English chanel. We were prepared for this because of prior stays on the French side and we brought our laptop computer and cable to hook up to the TV to watch Netflix. But with the downstairs not comfortable, we just watched on the computer laying in bed.
3. Both bathrooms are located downstairs so if you are a middle of the night user this requires a trip down the stairs which again are not up to American standards, I have a size 8 foot and only about 2/3rds of my foot fit on the step they were so narrow. I ended up going up the stairs normally but coming down the stairs at an angle so my entire foot fit on the step. I believe this is necessary because pitch/angle of the steps is steeper than we would allow in America.
4. Little tiny black ants (our bug guy calls them no see emâs here in Georgia) appear in the kitchen and bathrooms daily. We had no food on the counters so could only assume they were attracted to the water supply. I cleaned them up all the time but they repeatedly came back. We even tried spraying the uncaulked crevices with a deet spray and it had no affect.
5. The beds are much harder than what we have at home. I came prepared for a firmer mattress with a 1/2 inch egg crate style cushion to help my back (2 back operations with rods and screws in my back) but after 2 weeks on these beds my back was really ready for my temperpedic at home.
All in all a pleasant stay and weâll be back but I will come with a thicker mattress topper, a blanket for igloo sleeping and some ant spray. We are normally inside far less than outside when in St. Maarten so see the above as minor issues to be prepared for not deal breakers.
