It is an amazing place to stay if you love nature. The view is beautiful all around, and the house was everything we needed for our family. There was plenty to do for everyone, no matter what kind of activity you wanted to do. Our only problem was, it was already booked after us so we couldn't extend our stay! We will definitely be back!
This property was an absolute dream. Has everything a family would want and need to have an awesome vacation. Location was great and not to far from things to do as we visited Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Would definitely recommend to others for their family getaways. What a fun time we had.
Beautiful area. Cabin is nice but is in need of repairs to sustain current per stay. Games are old an unusable. Hot tub works but the jets on high are comparable to working hot tub on low. Missing down spouts causing the facia to rott/ standing water around the perimeter of the house an garage.
Cabin is stocked and clean. The creek is right outside the back door. Property was easy to access. About a 30-40 minute drive to Gatlinburg. Property manager was very responsive. Would stay here again.
We had a Wonderful time staying at this location, we really enjoyed the water and covered porches! We were a little disappointed to see a cabin directly behind ours. Wish there were TV's in the bedrooms and Master bed could be a bit more comfortable. Overall really enjoyed everything this place had to offer.
Overall trip was great! We didnât like how big the drop off was to the creek but it still wasnât terrible walking across.. we found some cool little creatures too!My one major complaint was We did have to wash the dishes because there was hair and fingerprints on some and there was some trash and socks under the bathroom sink in the master bath from previous guests.
We were all very impressed in the second that we pulled onto the road. The check-in process was easy. All the instructions were given clearly. The home was immaculate and had everything you needed for a good relaxing stay. Our teens and other family members enjoy the game room. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch, swings and listening to the river both day and night. No traffic no loud noises. It was wonderful.
My husband and I stayed here with our two sons, ages 18 and 19, and our dog Bailey, and we LOVED every second of it! From the relaxing sounds of the creek right outside our door, to the well maintained and incredibly clean cabin, we had a perfect family vacation and are so grateful to have had this time together at this beautiful cabin!
We loved the cabin and the surroundings. We spent time on the decks, fishing, in the hot tub, relaxing and could even be outside when it was raining. The location is perfect, close enough to area attractions but far enough away to enjoy nature. We caught 1 trout in the creek. Enjoyed a day on Douglas lake, rafting, and the national park. The view of the mountains from just up the road is great to see the sunsets. Lots of space for the whole family to enjoy. We ate at Janices diner and the apple place and the dollar general had everything we needed. I would recommend this cabin for an enjoyable stay vlose to all the attractions you want.
What a wonderful place to stay. Everything we hoped for and more. Clean, beautiful, and the stream was so serene. Host was great and responsive. 10/10 would stay again!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very well stocked and clean. My kids had a blast playing in the river and itâs only about 30 minutes to the Gatlinburg entrance to Great Smokies, so we did a few small hikes too. (Note the Cosby entrance to the park is currently closed). We would definitely stay again.
Staying at the Cabin on the River in Cosby, TN was a great experience for our family. We really enjoyed coffee on the porch listening to the creek in the mornings. The cabin was clean and cozy. Also, there was plenty of natural beauty a short drive away, and the cabin is conveniently located to Gatlinburg. We look forward to visiting again in the future.
It was everything that was advertised. The huge porches, wide open front yard and creek just steps from the back porch really make this place. The only thing we were a little disappointed in was that downtown Gatlinburg is about a 40 minute drive away and the Cosby entrance for the park was closed for repairs but still worth the stay!
I liked this cabin for its vintage and antique decor. We couldn't bathe in the jacuzzi for fear of a bear coming. My recommendation is that they should put it on the second floor since it's too close to the river and is open to the elements, with no outside boundaries. Another thing we didn't like is that the house didn't have coffee, oil, or seasonings. All the other cabins I've visited had them. You have to bring everything because there was only salt. The games are very good, and the house is spacious. But one of the rooms has no privacy; it's open, with no doors or anything. The place is nice and close to tourist attractions. Very cozy. They just need to improve a few details..
We stayed here after Christmas until New Years Day. We went with my parents and in-laws and we had a blast. I suggest bringing your own board games because they had a few but not many. The gameroom was fun! It was a 45 minute drive into Pigeon Forge, and we went nearly every day. We all had a good time there and it was nice.
This cabin was amazing! Everything looks exactly as pictured. However the listing says âsecludedâ . Itâs not secluded. Thereâs about 4 cabins or homes behind and one next door. But I must say I did NOT see any of the neighbors. The creek is so loud, But I loved it! Put me right to sleep! The sounds were so soothing! I would definitely rent this cabin again!
