Fantastic Place

It was nice to have indoor pool , hot tub,pool tables, game video machines. It was my 3rd different cabins under Elk Springs Resort.

Very unhappy

Reviewer Comments: Got there there were 5 people they seen us 4 of 5 left talk to the lady said she was only to clean whole house. And the pool wasn't cleaned either.didnt get in to house until 4.the bathroom upstairs toilet wasn't cleaned had hair on it.down stairs kitchen coffee pot was dirty had grounds in it .hide away couch had food crumbs in it.the cabin was ok .the management was a joke said would keep us up on the cabin .we tried to call back no longer answered any calls.we had to email them telling them that we have to buy more ice for food. Then they finally gave us a code to finally get in only had 2trash cans for 20 people had to call 3 times for trash pickup .

If they weren't swimming in the pool, they were upstairs playing games! It was also very relaxing the us adults. Comfy beds, very peaceful off of the back porch. The hot tub was nice. Also the kitchen had EVERYTHING we could have needed!

One issue that I would like to comment on is the front outside furniture. it was soo dirty that we couldn't sit on it and there was not enough pots and pans to cook on. For a house that sleeps 18, there were only one pot and a small skillet. I went to the Dollar General to buy one and left it there for the next guess.

When we checked in it was green and smelled horrible. Out of our 3 night stay we lost a day and a half of the pool.

Mediocre but pool was nice

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: So these cabins are in a subdivision up on a hill. This cabin has NO VIEW. The deck looks directly out into trees and the front looks across to the other cabins. I didn't want to rent from Aunt Bee's cabins because they had terrible reviews, but there was Aunt Bee cabins right next door! The cabin inside is nice but the rooms are weird. THey should make 2 rooms out of the master and not have the bunkbeds IN game room area. Hot tub and pool were nice. The atmosphere didn't seem like the smokey mountains. You're 1 mile from the entrance to the National Park (about 3 miles to where the trails start) - the trails were nice. Check in and out was really easy

Great for large family

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time overall. The house was nicely prepared. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I have a large family and we needed a place big enough to all stay together so it was a perfect fit. However we were a bit embarrassed for our family to report roaches in the kitchen area of all sizes. Customer service offered to have someone come to spray but I opted out of that since we would then (all 20 of us) have to find an activity for at least 8 hours of our time and we had a infant in our group that has respiratory issues. There was a leak in the half bathroom downstairs and the air conditioner froze up upstairs as well. BUT we did all get to be together for that time and ultimately we all took precautions to ensure we didn’t take any unwanted souvenirs home with us and we were thankful for the much needed time together. Pool was awesome and hot tub as well!! Low scores for the bugs, unrealistic solution to the bug issue (offer to move your guests-my opinion), and the outside of the house needs attention.

Good Getaway

Even though there are neighbors, we had a very peaceful and private stay. The cleanliness of the cabin was not to our standards as the carpets were not vacuumed well, the tubs were dirty, as well as many of the items in the kitchen. Bring your own daily essentials such as dish soap, laundry detergent, and trash bags. Most cabins that we have stayed in provide all of these but not this cabin. The TV in the game room did not work and the net on the ping pong table was broken. When I called the management company, they said they were sorry, but didn't offer any help or resolutions. When we arrived at the cabin most of the upstairs windows were left open as well and the back door knob fell off during the first night stay. Overall the cabin and location were great, we enjoyed the gas grill and the pool, but we could have signed our name in the dust over the back door and the food stains on the dishwasher.

Live, Laugh, Love Cabin

However, better communication upfront would have been much appreciated. We planned on checking in to our cabin at 3pm. However, at 12:30pm on the day of check-in, I received a text that we would not be able to check-in until 7pm. I understand that things change and the need to be flexible. However, since we were driving 9.5 hours from Michigan and our group had 8 kids, 8 and under, earlier communication regarding a late check-in would have been much appreciated and we could have planned more accordingly. Within a half hour of us checking into our cabin, I received a text that the dryer didn't work and could not be fixed during our stay. When I called Elk Springs to ask about the situation, they stated that parts to fix the dryer had been ordered, but were not in yet. Seems reasonable and I understand these things come up. However, I don't understand why they didn't let us know sooner. Clearly Elk Springs knew the dryer didn't work prior to our check-in. And I didn't pack enough clothes for my family for the entire week, as I planned on doing laundry during our stay. Once we got past those few hiccups, it was a great stay! The rest of the communication with Elk Springs was great - they were helpful and responsive. Lastly, the cabin seemed a little dirty. The first night we got there, the bottom of everyone's feet were covered in dirt just from walking around in the cabin. Overall, I would recommend the Live, Laugh, Love cabin.

So Much Potential!

Reviewer Comments: This property has the perfect location; it is close enough to Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park you can easily get to and do anything you’d like, but it is completely removed from the bustle and noise. That being said, it has a lot of problems. The doors and windows don’t seal, so cold air is constantly flowing in. The water pressure is seriously hit and miss; sometimes it is strong enough to rinse out your hair, most times it is not. The mattress in the bedroom beside the kitchen is in desperate need of replacement. The foot of the mattress is higher than the head of the mattress, and it is hollowed out so badly that you have to fight to keep from ending up in a heap in the center. When that happens, it is awful to get out of it. Comical, but awful. The cabin is advertised to sleep 16, which it does, but there were exactly 16 bath towels in the entire cabin. We were washing towels continuously. The advertisement makes it seem like there is a separate theater room and a game room. There are not. Upstairs, there is one large bedroom which has a queen bed and a set of full bunk beds, and the rest of the floor is an open loft room. The loft has a set of full bunk beds, two arcade games, a ping pong table, a pool table, and the theater “room” all together. The loft is open to the downstairs, with a rustic porch railing around its edge, so if any ball gets away from the ping pong or pool game being played, the ball is falling onto the lower floor. It was dangerous to sit at the front third of the dining table while anyone was at the pool table. We had two near misses with a pool ball and a family member’s head. It was terrifying. That open railing needs to be closed in before a guest is injured. The entire cabin was surface clean only: piles of dust and hair in every corner, a used bandaid on the stairs when we arrived, a dried up French fry in the muffin tin, a dirty glass on the loft floor, etc. There are many thi

Beautiful cabin away from everything

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Only few issues I had was they asked what time I would be arriving. I told them 3pm. I got a message about an hour before saying it wouldn't be ready til 5pm. Also, it's not in Pigeon Forge, it's closer to Cosby. Wasn't told this til it was booked. The cabin itself was beautiful and everything we wanted, I had 8 young adults with me. Be perfect for ones who want away from everything and doesn't mind driving.

Much needed family time!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Did not receive my code to get into cabin, but when I called to get help, they were so nice and helpful! Once inside our cabin, could not express how clean, comfortable, and pleased we all were. Very spacious, with everything we needed. We were pleased with size of indoor pool, and all other things to keep us all entertained. Still had a pretty Mountain View, although a little farther from Gatlinburg than I liked. On last night there, we tried grilling steaks. Grill would not stay lite even though gauge to propane tank said full. That was only complaint I had. Would stay again just for spaciousness and awesome pool!!! Thank you to Elk Springs Resort for accurate listing!

Not as advertised

The cabin is nice but not as advertised. We were disappointed at things advertised to be in the cabin that were not there. There is absolutely no view!!! And the cabin next to us was so close. The bathrooms are micro in size and there is no storage in the bathroom. All the cabinets in the kitchen have dishes in them. There is no space to store food. So a cabin that is supposed to sleep 20 people, where are we supposed to put groceries? Also a very small fridge.

40th Birthday Party Success

Reviewer Comments: We booked this cabin for my wife's 40th birthday party and host her family of 19, consisting of 4 families and age ranges between 5 and 70. We picked this cabin as it was set up to allow folks of all ages to relax and enjoy each other and it did not disappoint. The kids and parents loved having 24 hour access to the pool, hot tub and game room and the adults loved having a living room to where they could visit and relax. Cabin was great and only action item that we had was some of the furniture could probably use some TLC. Staff was super helpful and we would certainly recommend this cabin to others.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the property. I would only suggest that the pool temperature be raised. It was too cool. We was really excited about the indoor pool but was a little disappointed that the remote was locked up and the temperature couldn’t be adjusted. 2nd we would suggest a gate on the back porch. We did see bears but really didn’t feel safe in the jacuzzi at night.
