Listen to the waves as you sleep in this partial ocean-view condo located within the Makahuena at Poipu Condominium complex on the southernmost tip of Kauai. Decorated in attractive beach style, this condo is ready to welcome you to our corner of Kauai. Lounge on your own private patio with a partial ocean view and ample seating or walk over to the shared hot tub and pool where you can enjoy views of the ocean directly from the pool area. The condominium complex also has a tennis court, a barbecue area, and a common area where guests can take in oceanfront sunrises towards Shipwreck Beach and sunsets past Poipu Beach. The condo is perfectly located to access either Poipu Beach to the East or Shipwreck Beach to the West via a five-minute walk along the well-maintained coastal trail.

Inside the condo, guests will find a bright and spacious living area boasting an open concept shared between the entertainment, dining, and kitchen areas. The living room includes a 65-inch smart Roku TV, an ideal space streaming your favorite movies or watching a good show using the condo’s cable. Both bedrooms have their own TVs with Roku devices. You'll love sitting out on the lanai to enjoy the sounds of the waves and the ocean breeze while reading one of the included books. A desk workspace in the main bedroom, together with a wireless printer, is perfect for guests who need to finish up some remote work. There are age-appropriate games available to keep younger guests entertained. A private washer/dryer will help take care of swimsuits and beach towels while you're reclining and taking in the fresh air. The main bedroom has a king bed, an en-suite bathroom, and its own sliding door onto the lanai. The second bedroom is adjacent to the second bath and has the option to be set up either as a king bed or two singles. The second bedroom also has a separate twin trundle daybed to accommodate additional guests and there is a queen foldout couch in the main room.

Brennecke's Beach is just a five-minute walk from the condo, with Poipu Beach Park less than a mile away. And that's just the beginning of Poipu's beautiful beach offerings. Enjoy walking along the picturesque oceanside Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail to Shipwreck Beach, just a 15-minute walk from the condo, with sea turtle viewing and whale watching while in season. The south shore's restaurants and shops are also close by, including Puka Dog and Little Fish Coffee, Kauai Juice Co. and the Shops at Kukui’ula, multiple restaurants, shops, and live music at the Grand Hyatt that are within walking distance, and The Beach House Restaurant.

Family loved it
Great home base for our family (5 and 8 year old shared a room with their own twin beds), very close to many fun and kid friendly beaches. You can access resorts and golf courses nearby. And they had beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkeling gear available to use, plus the onsite tennis court included pickle ball equipment to play at your leisure. Lovely and comfortable layout and great communication with the property manager via Vacasa. Would definitely recommend!

Fit for a family
The property was perfect for our family. We had 3 adults, a 4 year old, and 14 month old. Plenty of space, and a great layout. It was so nice being on the ground floor. We could open the sliding doors to the lanai (which was very spacious), and our kids could go in and out without worry. Even though the walking path is up above, we still found it to be quite private. We loved the choice of furniture in the place as well- So comfortable and lots of room/seating. We compared it to others, as we had family in different units, and this one was definitely nicer. Appreciated the kitchen being stocked with some things, lots of cooking appliances. Great welcome snacks! A couple things came up during our stay, but the manager was very responsive. the screen on the door was broken and letting in some flies. We contacted the manager and the team came out to fix it the next day. Short walks to the beach on either side! There was also great beach gear- chairs, umbrellas, toys, cooler, boogie board, child life jacket. The unit does not have air conditioning, but there are ceiling fans in each room as well as plug in fans. Overall a great experience staying here and we loved Kauai!

Perfect for our family
Condo was perfect for our family of 6. Location was convenient and close to our favorite spots. Common area is a great spot to watch sunsets.

Good but privacy concerns.
This was a nice condo, close to the water, and close to shopping. It was comfortable for my family of 5 but small considering the rental cost was very high, that's mostly a Kauai thing. The privacy concerns include a walking trail right next to the condo and people tend to look while they walk by. Also the property manager likes to access her condo thru the side yard property, which was part of our rental space. She pushed her way past my wife with her construction crew in tow to look at some property she owned down the way past ours. It was rude and happened a few times. She could have handled it way better. There are 4 doors to the condo and some are hard to lock, and there are no curtains on the main slider door so it never feels truly private or secure. The wall / door from the Master into the Living Room is very thin, so minimal privacy there and does not lock. The Master TV has no sound and the remote was out of batteries. Other than these things we liked to condo. The kitchen was well stocked, the living room was nicely furnished and that TV worked well. The washer / dryer was nice. The master shower / tub was a bit dated and slippery. There was a bunch of outdoor accessories included in the side yard. The pool was nice and hardly used by others. Very very windy location at times. I guess because you are on the southern tip of the island it is windy here. I liked this location but I think there are better options in Princeville if you are ok staying on the north side. I have definitely stayed at way nicer Hawaii condos for way less money in the past few years but this one was passable. It's hard to find a true 4 bed condo and this did have that. Overall nice but the price tag does not justify the rough edges.
