Sunset Hollywood Bungalow: Walk to Everywhere You Want to Be

Location, location, location. You simply will not find a more charming and centrally located Hollywood vacation spot. The Sunset Hollywood Bungalows are 1 block south of Sunset Blvd, in the heart of literally everything. The photos are recent and accurate.

Designed in the Hollywood Craftsman style, the house was built in 1920 for studio employees, writers, and actors. It's bright and cheerful, and on a street where the neighbors all know each other and are proud of the community.

The house was completely re-done from top to bottom in 2016: new roof, foundation, interior, windows, outside siding...everything.

Perfect if you're here doing business. here in L.A. or working long-distance.

You have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, large kitchen, open living area with fireplace. The rear patio has a bbq and an enormous tree fill of delicious oranges that are yours to pick. You have off-street parking, washer-dryer, wifi, TV with all the streaming channels, Hulu live TV, complete furnishings, linens, towels, bedding, kitchen utensils, dishes, etc.. Great restaurants within a 3 minute walk... shopping nearby.

An unforgettable vacation

New, clean, well-appointed with thoughtful host.

Very cute studio in a fantastic location. Host was very thoughtful and helpful with recommendations in the area. Furnishings modern and the bungalow even had a private patio. Will definitely stay there again.

Nice property, impeccably clean! Safe area.

Wonderful stay at Sunset Hollywood Bungalow! Walking distance to all the action, we even happened to be in town for the Spiderman red-carpet event! The craziness of the crowds and celebrities was exciting! Kirby is a very gracious host and is quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Thanks for a great stay Kirby!

Perfect

Cannot overstate how fabulous this place was. Location-just one actually 1/2 block from Sunset Blvd-was amazing. Bungalow was spotless and so comfortable. We were in LA to attend the Hollywood Fringe Festival so again the location was perfect. Plus the bed was very comfortable and my husband can be fussy so that always scores points with him. Most importantly the owner truly treats you like a guest-you are not just someone renting his place.

Centrally located

While my daughter attended a class on Hollywood Blvd, we were able to walk to her class which only took 8 minutes. The back patio was a life preserver during my stay. I'm from a sparsely populated area, so to have a little tranquility was nice. Kirby was also attentive and reachable.

Great guess house and great location

We spent 8 days in L.A. and had a wonderful time at the Hollywood Bungalow. Best location, easy to walk to several places. Safe neighbourhood. The apartment is perfect for 2 persons for a week with a nice private outdoor area. Kirby was really great to provide us with all the information we need. Also, he was pretty quick to respond when we had a problem with the dishwasher that wasn't working. Our stay at the Bungalow was really a highlight of our trip among other activiities we did. Thanks again and "Au revoir!"

Great Location!! Wonderful Patio!

If you are looking for a very clean and well maintained cottage in a great location for touristing, this VRBO is for you. There a a definite pride in making sure that visitors have all they need for a pleasurable vacation. There is comfortable bedding, a nice kitchen, a parking spot and clear instructions on utilizing the cottage. We had a great time!!

Well-maintained property exactly as represented

Property in pristine condition, exactly as described/shown on website. Owner "Kirby" very pleasant to work with both online and in person. Provided very comprehensive welcome guide, for both property details (e.g. TV operations etc.) but also neighborhood tips to restaurants, Sunday farmers' market, etc. Highly recommended.

Great Property

My husband and I stayed in this property for a few nights while in LA on vacation. It was very clean and well equipped and furnished. Just a short walk to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and other attractions. Kirby was extremely accommodating throughout our stay and made sure that we were not in need of anything. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely bungalow central to lots of activities

My three girls, 10,12, and 15 and a friend also 15, and I took a road trip from Vancouver BC to Los Angeles via Portland, the Oregon coast and San Francisco. The bungalow was a lovely place to end up after long days of driving. Clean, very attractive and within walking distance (or very short driving distance) to Trader Joe's, Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Hollywood Bowl. On site parking is very convenient. Also, we went to universal studios for the day, and I was really happy not to have to drive and park. One bus and then the studio's shuttle was lovely. I felt safe at all time (important when traveling with four girls!) and really appreciated the host's comprehensive instructions about the bungalow and advice about local attractions. I would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in Hollywood.

Excellent Private Oasis!

I can't say enough great things about this place! My husband and I stayed here while visiting family and it was fabulous! Super clean, walkable to a variety of places throughout Hollywood (we even walked to and from the Cure concert at the Bowl), private, quiet and homey. The place is stocked with everything you need and also a cute back patio with a grill that we used alot during our stay. Kirby is fantastic and flexible and was the best host. We will definitely be staying here whenever we are in town! Thanks Kirby!

Great place to stay in Hollywood

Kirby takes great care of this property. If you need anything before or during your stay, he is very responsive. You can easily walk to tourist areas on Hollywood Boulevard. Movie studios, Griffith Park, and many other destinations are only a short drive away. At the end of the day, the bungalow has a private patio where you can relax. I have stayed here twice. (The first time was four years ago.) I had a great experience both times.

Home Away From Home

Perfect spot! Very clean & it had everything we needed!

Our recent stay at the Sunset Hollywood Bungalow was great. The bungalow is well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our time there. It's a very clean property and perfectly located within walking distance to many attractions. Look forward to staying there again!

Fantastic place in all regards

At the risk of you renting Kirby's place when I want to I am telling you that you should. Quiet is important to me and you have a small bungalow entirely to yourself and it is very quiet. Bed very comfortable. Location quite good and an easy walk to the Sunday Hollywood Farmer's Market on Sunday which was a lot of fun.You have access to a washer and dryer. A good amount of living space. A private backyard patio. Great water pressure. Honestly I have no negatives other than the guy who was renting the house in front constantly parking in the space designated for me which made it harder for me to navigate the driveway to get past him. Will always stay there if it is available.

Fabulous!

Nothing but the Best!

We were made to feel right at home at the Bungalow. Kirby is the perfect host. He is available if you have any concerns or questions, but he lets the guests enjoy their stay without interruption. Great instructions, information about local eateries and entertainment, and the place is clean, beautiful, and spacious. The location is great. Easy to walk to most of the great Hollywood attractions. Highly recommended rental.

Best host!

We arrived at the bungalow recently and unfortunately, there was a temporary appliance glitch that precluded our staying. Although Kirby was already attempting to solve the problem, he promptly made other more than comparable arrangements without hesitation. For that we were extremely grateful. We were actually at the bungalow for a couple of hours and everything looked great. The back patio was perfect for relaxing. The location was excellent for all the sights and sounds of Sunset and Hollywood Boulevards. Kirby also presented a great tip sheet for area dining and entertainment, including the Sunday farmer's market which was amazing. Throughout, the communications were responsive and swift. Highly recommend this rental!
