Welcome to Starfish Stays. Our little piece of paradise is located about a short walk to a pristine private beach on the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. This totally renovated Key West inspired two bedroom apartment is setting the standard on Manasota Key as one of eight units at Starfish Stays on the unique Manasota Key of Southwest Florida.

Starfish stays is an easy walk to the beach for gorgeous morning walks, shell and shark teeth collecting, swimming, sitting under an umbrella, basking in the sun or watching the most beautiful sunsets of the Gulf. Plenty of complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels in the unit. Two custom built outdoor showers hit the spot to rinse away the sand and salt. We make it easy for you to relax and enjoy your vacation.

The grounds of Starfish feature a beautiful pergola complete with gas fire pit, bbq, cornhole games and seating for eight!

The fantastic Stump Pass is 3 miles south of the property. Here you can fish, hike the nature trails, launch a boat or kayak or just relax on the secluded beach. Stump Pass is an excellent location for finding shark teeth. Parking is only $3 per day.

Blind Pass is one mile north on the key. There are nature trails, docks for fishing, kayak launches, and playground and picnic areas. There are public restrooms and outdoor showers as well as more beautiful beaches. Parking is free here and abundant.

Starfish Stays was completely renovated inside and out. Our property features 8 total vacations units. 2A is brand new and was completed August 2020. Everything is new down to the stainless appliances, queen size bed in one bedroom, two twin beds and a TV in the other bedroom and custom countertop. Starfish 2A boasts a brand new sofa bed w/ upgraded brand new memory foam queen size mattress for added comfort. We offer a fully stocked kitchen, full bathroom, and all linens.

Starfish Stays has eight units on the same property! Four two bedroom units, 3 studios, and a one bedroom unit. We can accommodate larger groups in several units.

We have our own private beach access, a TWO minute walk to the sand. Looking to avoid the big beach crowds? Our private beach is wide, sandy and PRIVATE.

Everything was great! The condo was clean and comfortable. Our host, Paula was very pleasant and a great resource of information. My only concern was that a few of the throw rugs didn’t lye flat and could have be a trip hazard if you’re not paying attention. Would definitely stay at any of their properties again.

We had a great weekend in Englewood. Paula and Scott have an amazing place, super close to the beach! They answered all our questions quickly. We can't wait to come back.

Wonderful

This unit has everything you need and is nicely decorated. There is enough space for everyone and we also loved the terrasse. The beach is close and we loved our stay here and can highly recommend it.

Ants in bathroom (coming in from whole in the bathtub grout). Paint was chipping off throughout the apartment. Big stains on the couch cushions. Missing baseboard in living room. Many dirty dishes in the cupboards. Need new heat shields on outdoor girl. Private beach area was small, so we used public beaches near by.

About 1 block from ocean. You enter a locked gate with a combo. To view the ocean, walk a block.

Clean property, needed some exterior repair after the hurricane, but didn’t affect us. Lots of people coming in and out for 2-3 day stays. Lots of people with dogs, but generally not a problem

The absolute best!

How can you say the stay was perfect and communicate that to, you, the review reader. This was our second stay with Starfish Stays, it will likely become an annual visit. Its just that great. The location is incredible. The beach is right there, and beautiful. Everything you need and more is provided. Scot and Paula are tremendous. Stephanie, the on site manager, is so friendly and helpful. Look no further, you have found the best choice for your vacation.

Love Englewood!

All of the instructions were great and descriptions of amenities accurate. Loved the outdoor area with the grill the fire and cornhole, we enjoyed that almost every evening! The beach chairs and umbrella were nice along with the boogie boards the granddaughters loved them, the waves were good for them to ride which is usually not the case, it is usually a lot calmer on the ocean here but they loved it! The tide was high a lot of the time we were there so there wasn't a lot of beach space but there was enough for everyone to share...still plenty of space that you felt private not like at the public beach. Love the Lock N' Key restaurant, if you like to have an adult beverage head to order at 1 of the ends of the bar and ask for the 'pull tabs' after you've placed your order and you may get a 1/2 price or 50cent drink, I highly recommend the 'roasty toasy'!

Great peaceful “Old Florida feel”

When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the property manager Stephanie. She was extremely helpful and immediately made us feel at home. Our unit 2A was very clean with updated renovations. The area is very quiet and the private beach is a short walk across the street. We found numerous seas shells and pretty much had the beach to ourselves. The hosts Scott and Paula were very helpful during our stay and easily assisted us with extending our stay by one day. The site has two gas bbq grills and two sets of corn hole games available. The rental also supplies numerous beach chairs, boogie boards and other beach essentials for our use. The two outdoor showers were also a great addition to get the sand and salt water off before returning to our unit. We will definitely be returning to this dog friendly home in the near future.

Everything was absolutely perfect

Went for a couple day getaway with my husband and our (7-13) 4 kids. This place is absolutely gorgeous inside and out and easily accommodated the 6 of us very nicely and confortably. The bed was like sleeping in a cloud of awesomeness! We got in town earlier in the day and they got it cleaned and let us check in by 230! the host here are 11/10 with their hospitality, tons of amenities provided, quickness to respond back to me and just very helpful. The beach is literally right across the road and it’s not crowded AT ALL! We had an absolute blast looking for shark teeth! Sifters were available. I think the absolute best part was the outside showers. Super awesome with kids. We will definitely stay here again!

Englewood vacation

The property is very convenient for what you pay for. Very clean although we thought that the couches were getting old and needing replacing. Also some measuring cups for making breakfast pancakes would be useful. Overall the walk to the beach is super short and location is great. The property manager / cleaning lady was super nice and helpful . Very clean and the communal laundry area was easy to use. If you have a smaller family this is very convenient. I don’t know if we will use again only because we would want to try something with a pool or a whole house but first experience was great and price point was good. Thanks again!

Immaculate haven close to the beach

Our family of 4 felt completely at home in this gem of a spot in Englewood, FL. Even though I had booked Starfish Stays believing that it is next to the beach (please change the wording to more accurately reflect that the beach is a two minute walk across the street and down a block), the home’s cleanliness, decor, kitchen provisions, comfy beds, towels, beach supplies, outdoor amenities, etc, all more than made up for my initial disappointment that we were not adjacent to the beach. Scot and Paula were easy to reach and communicate with, and they promptly responded to any questions or requests. We wish we could have stayed longer, but we’re more than grateful for the time we did get at Starfish Stays. Thank you, and we hope to return.
