Welcome to Colony Inn Unit 04, your charming island escape on beautiful Sanibel Island! Professionally managed by Gulf Coast Vacation Rentals, this delightful retreat is located just steps from the sparkling Gulf waters and sandy shoreline, placing you in one of Sanibel's most loved beachside communities. From world-famous shelling and scenic bike paths to local dining and boutique shopping, you'll be perfectly situated to experience the very best of island living while enjoying the peaceful tropical atmosphere of Colony Inn.

Inside, you'll find a bright and welcoming space thoughtfully designed for relaxation and comfort. The spacious living area is the perfect place to unwind after a sun-soaked beach day, featuring cozy seating ideal for relaxing evenings, movie nights, or spending quality time with loved ones. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and everything needed to prepare delicious meals, snacks, and refreshing drinks throughout your stay.

The primary bedroom offers a restful retreat with two comfortable double-size beds, providing the perfect place to recharge after exploring the island. For additional sleeping accommodations, the living room also features a queen sleeper sofa.

Whether you're collecting seashells along the shore, soaking in stunning Gulf sunsets, or simply embracing the laid-back coastal lifestyle, Colony Inn Unit 03 is the perfect setting for an unforgettable Sanibel Island getaway.

House Rule: No smoking. No burning candles inside of lodging. No parties. No Pets.

Laundry facilities are conveniently located on each floor of both buildings for guest use.

​​​​​​​Please Note : We're continuing our efforts to maintain and improve the property with enhancements taking place at Building 2 from May 4th through end of June 2026. During this time Building 2 is closed. Work will be conducted Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to approximately 3:30 PM.

Guests in Building 1 and around the pool area should experience minimal impact, though occasional daytime renovation noise may be heard. For safety, some areas of the grounds may be temporarily restricted while work is underway.

We appreciate your understanding as we make these improvements and look forward to welcoming you!

We stayed here for a beach trip, and it was exactly what we needed. The space was clean, cozy, and just a short walk to the water. It felt peaceful from the moment we arrived. The location made it easy to enjoy both the beach and nearby island spots.

Very comfortable & extremely clean!

For a small space it was actually very comfortable & extremely clean! Very clean and well maintained. We also loved the thought that went into small things in this condo such as the extra hooks located on the patio and throughout the condo for hanging beach items and beach towels. The pool was located across a short sidewalk from the main dumpsters for the condos so the smell was so bad one night when we arrived at the pool we could not tolerate it to swim.

Colony Inn is a true hidden gem

Colony Inn is a true hidden gem, gives chill retro vibes, very relaxing, walkable to the beach, and lovely peaceful setting. We were able to walk to a few very good restaurants nearby as well. Host was responsive, but not able to turn off the cool jazz night music until the next day because we requested it after the office had closed for the day. So be sure to make all requests during their scheduled office hours. Beach was perfect for shelling!

Our stay at The Colony Inn was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond with their kindness and hospitality, making us feel truly welcome the entire time.The beach chairs and umbrella they provided were such a great touch and made our beach days effortless and relaxing. The location couldn’t have been better—just a quick, easy walk to the beach, with convenient access to shopping and fantastic restaurants in the other direction.We had so much fun shelling and found some truly gorgeous treasures! The unit itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for a special mother/daughter getaway.The pool was clean and refreshing, and the landscaping around the property was just as beautiful and well cared for.It was incredibly hard to leave!!
