Appalling. Repulsive. Disgusting.
Room for improvement: cleanliness and communication. The day before our arrival, we reached out to the Guest Contact as provided by Vrbo to inquire about check-in information. Upon initial contact, the appointed Guest Contact texted back âDo not text this number again.â Attempted emailing guest contact but still received no response. Evolve customer service was then contacted and after being sent (themselves) to voicemail, were able to confirm correct contact information. Upon arrival to the rental, we were met with multiple large bugs, dust, and hairballs on the floors. As well as massive yellow-ish brown stains in the middle of the rug. Utensils and pans were stored in cabinets (as if clean) with chunks of food on them. No hand soap provided in either the bathrooms or kitchen. In bedrooms, towels, sheets/linens and mattresses provided in every room had traces of either human hair, dog hair, smelled of smoke, or had small yellow stains. The state of these beds and towels was so bad that most of the guests opted for sleeping on top of comforters (using beach towels as blankets) and/or buying bath towels. Rusty screws, hinges and even fish hooks littered the porch and driveway. And the smell of dirty bay water from the washing mashing was repulsive. Guest Contact was ill-mannered and completely unresponsive. As a frequent and loyal vrbo user who has never had such a complaint, the uncleanliness of this rental property was unacceptable, and should receive a zero star review.
