À propos de cet hébergement
Whiskey Creek Beach Front A-Frame Site T9
Summary:
Beachfront A-Frame Shelter
The Space:
Whiskey Creek Beach NW has exquisite views of the Straight of Juan De Fuca. This unique A-Frame shelter is situated only a few feet from the beautiful pebble beach with unobstructed views of the Canadian Cascades. *note: You are able to drive up approx. 10 yards from this site to unload, and parking for beach sites(T9-14) are up a hill. No parking at the site. *also note, our Wifi can be spotty due to our remote location.
Bring your own sleeping bag and camping gear, we supply 2 single size mats (4" thick) to sleep on. There are two Adirondack Chairs, a picnic table and a fire-pit BBQ as well as access to fresh water. Nearby porta-potty, no showers. This site offers beautiful views all day (and night) of the water, Canadian Cascades, stars and wildlife. You will never forget this place!
Located just 25 minutes outside Port Angeles, our guests can enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Olympic Peninsula with easy access to town and some of the best hiking, hunting, fishing and exploring you will ever find. There is so much to do in and around the Olympic National Forest, so take your time and enjoy your stay!
Nearby Olympic National Park entrances like the Sol Duc, Hurricane Ridge, Hoh Rain Forest, Cape Flattery make this location an excellent "base camp" from which you can explore the Olympic Peninsula and towns like Forks, Neah Bay and beaches like Shi Shi Beach and Hobuck Beach. Explore the parks, walk the rivers (Dungeness, Elwha and many more), kayak on Lake Crescent or drop right in the Strait from our private boat ramp. During the Winter and Fall, enjoy the true nature of the Pacific Northwest: observe the high tides, storm surges and occasional dense marine fog from the comfort of your cozy cabin. You are going to love this place!
Guest Access:
We provide a map at check-in that lays out the areas of our property that are open for exploration during your visit.
The Neighborhood:
This is a quiet area with amazing views. We are remote and perfectly hidden from the hustle and bustle of the city.
*We are nestled in the middle of so many beautiful spots to visit here around the Olympic parks. Only 25-30 min to the breathtaking Lake Crescent. There are numerous hikes and places to explore there. Not much further from that is the entrance to Sol Duc. Going the other direction you’ll find the Olympic Hot Springs and be close to Hurricane Ridge entrance . Cape flattery or the Hoh rainforest are not to be missed if you’re headed towards Sekui or Forks area.
* There is a great little store only 8 min from our cabins , Joyce General, that closes at 7pm. We are only 25 min from Port Angeles so if you’re looking for more options be sure to hit Safeway or Walmart off 101 before heading in for the night.
* Blackberry Cafe is a nice option for a meal out that is only 5-8 min from us. Family Kitchen and the One Twelve are two others near our place. In Port Angeles you have everything from amazing burgers at the Next Door Gastropub, tasty BBQ at Coyote Grill, yummy seafood and steak at Kokopelli Grill, Pho that’s the best at New Saigon. For quick and easy on the pocketbook, Fast Burrito with fresh tasty Mexican food . Also Sabi Thai has stellar Thai food. New Day Eatery has breakfast and lunch only, and is very good! Off the 101 on your way to Lake crescent, try out Granny’s Cafe open during the summer season.
Other Things to Note:
*Bring your own bedding, these are primitive sites with fire pits, shared outdoor toilet and access to fresh water.
*Please keep in mind that this site is on private property.
*Sites are limited to 2 guests, or 1 family driving a single vehicle.
(Max 4 guests at a site) For parties of multiple guests and vehicles please book an additional site or contact us directly.
*Bring your own fire wood, or we do have bundles available for purchase.
*To add to the beauty of our remote area, there is limited lighting. This is good to remember when you plan to arrive late after sunset.
*Most GPS software is giving incorrect directions to our location. As you near the property, be sure to follow the large red signs pointing to the right, and do not go up BeachComber drive to the left. Continue to follow signs to Whiskey Creek WEST side.
* There is a great little store only 8 min from our property, the Joyce General Store, that closes at 7pm. We are only 25 min from Port Angeles so if you’re looking for more options be sure to hit Safeway or Walmart off 101 before heading in for the night.

* Lights are very minimal. Making for a beautiful night sky’s. :) Stars galore! If you plan to arrive after dark be sure to follow the directions we give precisely and ask if you any questions at all. I’d bring a flash light along as well for getting settled at your site.
