Great stay. Used as a jumping off point for a ski weekend at Boyne and Nubs. Spacious, clean, close to restaurants and bars in downtown Boyne. Easy check-in process.Only item for note is that the house has 2 bathrooms, but only 1 shower.

Breakfast on the porch

Our family of 10 loved the big common areas downstairs. The large front porch with the shady trees was fabulous for visiting and eating breakfast together. This is a grand old Boyne City house with wonderful woodwork and stained glass. A short walk to downtown and the park on the lake.

Thought the shower could use a scrubbing shower curtain sad .. kitchen sink sad … it was nice that the driveway was plowed but a snow shovel would be helpful as stair and side walk dangerous ….a few more pillows one per bed not so much …..

The kitchen sink is original to the home, which we hope adds to its charm, but we appreciate your observation. We also appreciate your suggestions regarding snow removal and additional pillows and will keep them in mind to enhance the comfort and safety of future stays. We loved the location almost as much as we love Boyne City. The house is charming, older with a few updates. Rooms (we used 2 of 4), were clean and comfortable. Listing did say two full bathrooms which is true. However, only the bathroom upstairs(en-suite) had a shower. Which of course means all guest would be in and out through primary suite to shower, and/or use the bathroom at night. Else, guests would need to climb down stairs and make their way to bathroom off kitchen(this bath had a claw foot tub). When we entered house the couch in living room was covered with feathers/lint, we cleaned it. The kitchen table was quite wobbly, we removed the leaf for the four of us, which made table sturdier. Second couch (leather), in other sitting area had a rip in it, we covered with blanket. There was only one dish towel in the kitchen and many of the utensils and dishes were dirty when removed from cupboards(no dishwasher). Back to the second floor bathroom with shower, it had peeling paint on the ceiling. And the ceiling in the kitchen eating area had a large water stain as well. Finally, the porch needs work, a good power wash and a coat of paint. Perhaps a mason could correct the leaning bricks near the steps. The photos of this home show much better than the actual house. My wife and I would stay here again, but with a single shower, this could be an issue if you filled all 7 beds.

Great historic home

This home is just what you need to elevate your vacation. The woodwork and charm are everywhere. The only downside is the lack of door on the master suite, so it indoor sleeps like a 3 bedroom with a secluded loft. We went for a ski trip, and the home was warm and draft free. We also had a light bulb burn out on the first day of our stay, and the management was responsive enough to fix it that day. Highly recommend.

Awesome Property Manager

This property had a great location within easy walking distance to downtown Boyne City and was well-maintained with ample space. During our stay it was very warm to the point that some people in our party were struggling with the heat. Corey was very genuine and understanding, giving us a refund once we decided to move to different lodging with central air conditioning. Corey's integrity was very much appreciated, and we highly recommend staying at this property if you are visiting Boyne any time other than during the peak heat of summer. Thank you again Corey!
