Charm of Carlton - Heart of Wine Country

Welcome to the Charm of Carlton! Our house is right in the heart of Willamette Valley wine country and 2 blocks from beautiful downtown Carlton.

You will feel 'wine at home'! There are two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, TV room, living room, dining room, laundry area, and backyard. We have a fully equipped kitchen that opens up to the dining and living room. On nice warm days, you can open the double doors leading to the outdoor patio. The backyard is completely fenced in. We have a patio table with chairs, and string lights for the perfect summer night.

Downtown Carlton has many tasting rooms, all within walking distance from the house.

We are also conveniently located 1 block from the city park, disc golf anyone? We have a set for you to use!

Large off-street driveway and street parking.

Pet friendly with a $100 fee.

Our stay at the Charm of Carlton was perfect. The house is easy to access and is exceptionally well stocked with everything you might need. The bedrooms are roomy and the kitchen and outdoor patio are great gathering spots. If you have the opportunity to book this property don’t think twice and book it. Carlton turned out to be a wise choice for our winery visits. Hayward Restaurant is just a short walk away and can’t be beat. The truck noise which was mentioned in other reviews was only in the morning and was a very minor nuisance. Best VRBO stay we’ve had in years.

Great stay

This was a very pleasant stay. The house is located close to activities and services but not in the hustle and bustle. It is exceptionally clean and attention to the little details really made it stand out among the other rental houses we’ve visited. It manages to be both spacious and cozy. I would definitely spend time here again.

We spent a weekend at this lovely home in Carlton. The house is comfortable and beautifully decorated. There wasn't anything we needed that was not available. The location was perfect for our wine tasting journey.

Relaxing and picturesque

This property was perfectly appointed for our girls' trip to do wine tasting. It was spacious and wonderful to have two full bathrooms. The kitchen was nicely appointed with glassware to sample our wine purchases. The home was clean and had nice touches like Aveda bath products, hand soap, etc. Great location in Carlton with access to restaurants, tasting rooms, and coffee shops. Owner was very responsive to questions both before and during our stay!

Great house in downtown Carlton

This two bedroom two bath house with two living area, two porches and plenty of room for more than 2 cars to park off the street is amazing. We happen to be here during Harvest Time so there's a little more road noise early in the morning than usual but it is walking distance to everything and the remodel of the house is perfect.

Charming, very well equipped, clean, comfortable beds, walking distance to all we needed, including dog park. It would have been perfect except for noisy trucks going by off and on all night. Made a good night's sleep problematic. Suggest providing ear plugs. all all we needed

Walk to Downtown Carlton

Great location - you can walk to downtown restaurants and tasting rooms. Very clean, well stocked. Comfortable seating areas. Roomy master bedroom and upgraded bathrooms. Two bedrooms upstairs with master bathroom. Other bathroom is downstairs. Only downside was the street noise early Friday morning - lots of trucks passing through town. Much better on Saturday and Sunday morning.

Great location for wine tasting

The home was walking distance to several wine tasting rooms and a nice community park, and less than 10-15 miles to many wineries. The interior was nicely appointed and supplied. The master bed was very comfortable and everything worked well. The biggest negative was the street noise on uneven pavement from a heavy volume of large trucks that prevented us from having windows open. Exterior could have used a good powerwashing and cobweb removal. Host was responsive and countryside is beautiful.

Adorable cottage in Carlton

LOVED this adorable cottage in downtown Carlton. It's the perfect size for 2-4 people. The house was super clean and had very nice, new linens and towels. The only downside was that there's no AC upstairs where the bedrooms are located. There are fans and all the windows open so it wasn't too bad for us due to favorable weather and a nice breeze. There are plenty of wine tasting rooms, several restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. I would say Carlton is centrally located to a lot of the vineyards in Willamette Valley. I would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect!

Our stay at the Charm of Carlton was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty and charm of this property. The house is quaint, immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the living areas are comfortable and inviting. The bedrooms are cozy and the beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. We enjoyed some time on the backyard patio as well. The location is excellent, just a 5-8 minute walk to all the restaurants and tasting rooms on Main St, yet tucked away enough to offer peace and tranquility (with the exception of big trucks rumbling down the street, but the host provides foam ear plugs). Ashley was a fantastic host, very responsive and helpful with a request I had. We would love to stay here again!

The property was extremely well appointed, very clean and well situated within the little town.

It was a girls' weekend celebrating birthdays. Couldn't have asked for a better location for us to enjoy wine tasting and some time at 'home'. The beds were really comfortable and we had everything we needed for a great celebration. My only complaint is that the house is cold. The owners have added cadet heaters in various rooms, which is helpful, but it was still chilly. Would we let this deter us from staying again? Probably not. We'd just pick a warmer time of the year. Overall a great place to stay and so very charming!

My family and I stayed for a quick weekend trip and had a great stay! The house was very clean, and the beds were so comfortable! There were dog toys and beds for our two pets and games and lots of space for us to stretch out. We felt that the amenities supplied were all higher end and nothing felt cheap or outdated. We did end up locking ourselves out one night, but the response was very quick and we were back in the house within 5 mins. Very quick response and we had a friendly visit when she let us back in the house. The house sits on a busier street and there is traffic noise at night but they supply ear plugs if needed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

We had a fabulous time!! The house was absolutely adorable and loved that everything worked as it doesn't always when booking with VRBO. A bit of noise from the trucks on the street and we couldn't figure out where they were going but it was fine. Wouldn't stop us from staying there again. Also loved that there was a park nearby that we could take the dogs. Loved It!! Thanks

Charming indeed!

If you are looking for a cozy and relaxing place to spend quality time, this place is perfect! Location is excellent for visiting wineries in the area, nice amenities, speedy internet, full of details and shabby chic decoration. We cooked, enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, listen to music, catched up with our TV shows and had the best winter break. The bed is phenomenal! Looking forward to visiting again. Felt pampered and welcomed by these super hosts!

We became fond of Carlton in 2015, it was right in the middle of all our wine tasting ventures. It only made sense to eventually have a house we could call our own here. We are outdoor enthusiasts, world travelers, small children wranglers, dog lovers and of course wine tasters :)

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We absolutely love this charming house in Carlton. It was built in 1913 and has been renovated to keep the farmhouse craftsmen characteristics. This house is a few blocks from downtown Carlton, you can see from the front porch! You have hundreds of vineyards and tasting rooms at your fingertips. After a day of exploring the Willamette Valley, this house gives you the comfort you'll be looking for.
