AQUA VILLA 202, AV202 ... 2nd floor 2BR/2BA Gulf front, common access balcony/walkway facing the beach, WiFi. This lovely two Bedroom condo with WiFi, directly on the beach, is located on Okaloosa Island, which is between Fort Walton Beach and Destin.
Sleeps 6; 6 guests allowed.

It is the best vacation destination for the family, golfer, shopper or fisherman. There are no high rises in sight, as nothing over 7 stories is allowed on Okaloosa. Because this building has a mere 24 units, and plenty of waterfront, the white beaches and the teal Gulf waters are never crowded, making it simply paradise! Many people say that these are the most beautiful beaches that they have ever seen. Television, surveys and magazines rate the Emerald Coast among the top ten in the world for its beautifully colored waters and sand as white as snow. Your can watch the dolphins jumping less than 100 yards away from the walkway balcony outside your front door! Need more units ask us about our others.

Bedding: Master-King/Spare- Double, Twin, Twin floor mattress
- We rent Saturday to Saturday in the spring and summer, when we have 6 night minimums.
- A limited supply of towels, bed sheets, soap, toilet paper, and pillows are provided
- Must submit Driver's license and rental agreement to manager within 24 hours of booking.
- Extra $10/night + tax per guest of any age over 6 guests (of any age, $10.55 on vrbo) will be collected..
- Must pay additional fee if bringing pets ($10/ni + tax per pet, ($10.55 on vrbo). 2 max, 25 lb. max.
- Smoking allowed outside in marked location only.
- Guests must take out all trash and wash all dishes (or leave in running dishwasher) prior to checkout.
*Guest must submit a $250 off-platform security hold that will be collected upon signing rental agreement but it will not be placed until 12 days prior to arrival and released 7 days after departure, if no damages are reported. Please note we are API Connected to a hotel-style software called OwnerRez to safely and securely take off-platform security deposits.
- Must be at least 25 to rent.
- We include 2 folding chairs and an umbrella in the unit for your use, and you may also rent them on the beach.
- A second cleaning fee will be collected after booking for stays over 2 weeks, and for checkouts on Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas.
- Building, resort, HOA and/or COA amenities are not guaranteed to be open during your stay.
- Check-in time is after 6:00 P.M. local time. In some instances, access to your unit may be unavoidably delayed due to cleaning or maintenance issues. There will be no discounts offered due to a late check-in. Your patience will be appreciated in these circumstances. If you arrive after 4:00 P.M. and see that the unit is ready (it usually will be), you may begin your stay for no extra charge. Earlier check-ins require special arrangements and may be available for an additional fee.

While this property was dated, it was clean and had everything we needed including beach chairs and umbrella. The beach was awesome. Jackie with cleaning service was a pleasure to talk with.

The condo unit grounds were very well kept, and the unit we were in was comfortable. The parking was perfect, so close to entry and elevator. The view from our second floor unit was beautiful and the beach entry was just off the very large pool area. To have a pet friendly unit with all of the amenities was such a pleasure, we will definitely be back.

Very nice, comfortable, and clean condo with superior views and several amenities. We experienced excellent communication with the host. This rental is so amazing you’ll want to stay longer than expected. Definitely recommend if you’re visiting the Destin, Fort Walton, or Okaloosa Island areas. Our week went by too quick!

Loved the details provided. Left no questions unanswered. First vrbo experience and I couldn't have asked for a better one. The condo was exactly as described and gave us a perfect location to spend quality family time together.

Great location for a beach stay

Loved the beautiful view and ease with which could get out to the beach. Very handy to have a Tom Thumb convenience store less than a block away. Beds were comfy and loved the reclining couch (looked brand new!) Kitchen well appointed. Wonderful restaurants close by. Not easy to keep our dog off the grassy areas at either end of the property (instructed we had to take dogs off premises for walks, etc). Unit and building not in the best condition, but priced accordingly.

We're glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry about having to keep pets off the grass, but that's the building rules, not ours. The couch is new, as are the LVP floors. The main bathroom is being remodeled soon, and the building is getting a paint job soon as well. Hope to see you next year.

Our only two problems were, they gave us the wrong code to get in the Condo and they did'nt leave any instructions on the TV. Other than those two things our stay was great.

Another wonderful vacation

The condo was better than expected! Pictures didn’t do it Justice. Condo was clean and worked perfect for us! Only thing I wish it had was a lil more stocked with a few lil things like a few spices Garbage bags salt n pepper. So when you went grocery shopping you didn’t literally have to buy everything!!!!! Also have a griddle n crock pot!! I had to bring mine from home Other than that it was perfect!

The online pics were not very accurate. This is an older unit and needs some TLC badly, it should have things fixed before renting again, Jackie was awesome and the manager addressed our complaints in a timely manner, I would not stay in this unit again but had no problem with the overall property

A few issues

Glass slider in back bathroom with tub won’t slide. Vent fans in bathrooms are out and front door knob broken. Other than that everything was great.

Never again

Property is in a great location and clean. Several things were broken or loose. Response time was not good if you had to contact them although Jackie was better and easy to get along with. One night there were no parking and we sat in the truck for over an hour and a half with no response from anyone after extended time on the phone with VRBO finally was told just block someone in and leave a note. Fortunately meet someone who let us park behind them. This has been a totally different experience from the many other VRBO rentals we have had. Will not rent from Sky Ventures ever again. Love Destin but there are better places to stay and easier people to deal with.

Roaches!

This property had roaches! We found them in the first night and immediately contacted the property manager. Although he did get back with us and try to workout a solution, it did not change the fact that we were stuck in this room with roaches. We were not offered a refund for our stay or a move to another unit. As a matter of fact, he told us to leave! Where were we supposed to go on Thanksgiving week with no transportation and our family staying in same complex??? This is unacceptable! But this wasn’t the only problem! The HVAC unit was also not operational ! I will never rent from this property or management group again! VRBO association needs to be made aware and it’s a shame they don’t somehow make this right for us.

Unfortunately this guest wanted to stay the entire time, but also wanted a full refund. Obviously, we can not accommodate this type of request. The units are all sprayed routinely by an exterminator, but this doesn't stop the random bug from walking into the unit. We did have the HOA send them back to spray for this guest as well. We definitely did NOT "tell" the guest to leave. Rather, we wrote them the following ... "We're contacting the HOA who will schedule an exterminator visit. In the meantime, we understand you no longer wish to stay. Just let me know if you can checkout by noon today. If so we'll only charge you for one day, and will be able to refund the remainder of your stay." They declined this offer, just wanting a refund instead. The guests did discover a problem with the HVAC, and we sent a repairman immediately. Fortunately this was in November when temperatures are perfect here; the daytime highs were in the low 70s, and the nigh time lows in the low 60s, so this problem did not affect their comfort. We did buy them dinner for their inconvenience. We try to make every guest happy, but unfortunately did not succeed this time.

Fixer-upper at prime beach front rates

Pros: - beachfront, takes minutes to get down to the ocean - good view, we saw plenty of dolphins and fish - the beach itself was very nice and was not overcrowded - unit oversees the pool, convenient for those with children - several grocery stores nearby Cons: - the interior was very outdated, imagine the set of The Golden Girls that had not been updated since the early 80s. Old/outdated is not a problem as long as things are still well taken care of. However this unit included peeling off popcorn ceiling, black moldy rings around ceiling fan and light fixture, caulking around the master tub/shower was solid black, peeling off old wallpaper in the bathroom, several old ceiling tiles with old water stains. - the kitchen lacked several basic items like a can opener that properly works, kitchen scissors would have been useful, and all the knives must have went through the garbage disposal a few times. - there was no good place to let beach towels and bathing suits dry, the unit doesn't have a washer/dryer, and the balcony is only a narrow walkway where you're not allowed to hang up anything to dry, nor can you store beach chairs/toys/umbrellas outside - for those with an EV vehicle the nearest super charger is 40+min away, nearby less powerful destination chargers were sparse and most were broken

We're glad you enjoyed your stay., and the area. Sorry you did not love the unit. I guess the owners have been around awhile and like the Golden Girls style, because they bought this furniture not too long ago. We hope future guests will look at the pictures before booking to know if they will be ok with the color choices. The owners are coming down to stay soon, and will take care of the other issues themselves. We'll have the maid clean the dust build-up around that light (it catches on the popcorn ceiling and it hard to remove). There is a laundry room down the hall. Appreciate the feedback.

Just ok

A lot of our complaints are from things we knew about the property going in. Have to carry your dogs while in elevator and off property across the street to use the bathroom. Was a lot of strain, especially for my elderly mother but the worst was said grass was full of cockleburs that got in our dogs pad hairs and was painful. Every time we had to hold them down to pull them out. It’s like they are dog friendly but not really dog friendly. Most people got around the elevator rule by walking their dogs down the stairs. Our dogs aren’t that good with stairs cause we tried. Our dogs are our babies, otherwise we wouldn’t bring them on vacation with us. It would be so much easier to kennel them. The furniture is old and dated. Mattresses luckily have padding to make better. We knew going in that there was no private balcony but it is sad without it. No where to store wet chairs. Have to just bring in the condo. Crab crackers would be a great thing to include in the condo. Great steamer market up the road and nothing to eat crab legs with. Knew going in no washer and dryer in unit, brought enough clothes to wear the whole time. Didn’t know it would be so hard to wash and dry towels and sheets before leaving. That’s ridiculous. It’s also ridiculous that there is no cable or local tv in this unit. Just offers Netflix and apps open. I can understand if the owner doesn’t want to also pay for cable but an antenna to pick up local tv wouldn’t cost much. What if there was bad weather or something else that we needed the news for. Not to mention old women do not like to miss their stories. My mom was pissed. The shower door in master is off the rail on bottom, needs to be fixed. They both have removable shower heads which is great for cleansing shower afterwards. However the one in spare bathroom is old and cheap and needs updating. The parking lot is small and with so many people double parking, it made finding a spot and getting in and out pretty difficult. The views were great. It is a quick walk to the beach. Unfortunately we had nasty seaweed all but one day but that can’t be helped. The weather was great! The pool was nice and with the ocean being so nasty a lot of people were taking advantage of it. Overall we will not be back

We're sorry you were not completely satisfied. I bring my dog there when I visit, and have not run into the burr problem. We just walk her in the sand at the edge of the parking lot, and grassy side street medians for longer walks. There is a laundry room onsite, but there is no need to wash the sheets and towels before you leave ... our cleaning crew changes them out. I'm told that one can get local channels through the YouTube channel, which is why the owner does not provide TV antennas. If you have a maintenance issue on your next trip, like the shower door, just let us know, and we'll send someone to repair it. Thanks for the feedback.

Little gem of a place. Small building (4 stories, 24 units). Doesn't look like much, but the beach access can't be beat and there's a nice pool. Feels like a small community. Would be a perfect building for multiple families to share a fun getaway. Condo was nice: updated bathroom, well-stocked kitchen, clean, both bedrooms spacious enough for two people. Highly recommend.

Did not know there was construction. It was ridiculous with a 2 year old. Seen some bugs. For 7 people only had 3 towels each in a 2 bathroom. Washer and dryer in hall way always busy. Out of 15 years i think this was the worst.

We're sorry you did not love your stay. The building work was last-minute crack repairs we were not aware of when you booked. They promised only to work M-F 8-5, so we hope it did not bother your stay much. Next time, let us know if you do not have at least 1.5 towels per person.

Beautiful view

This condo had a amazing view of the ocean and it was right there at the pool.The rooms in the condo were large and the bed was super comfortable! The kitchen had a toaster and coffee maker which was very useful.I will definitely be back soon to enjoy it again.

Pet Policy and Pet Agreement Aqua Villa Condominium

We will permit renters to bring dogs to our unit, provided that the following Aqua Villa Rules and Regulations are strictly observed. There are owners living here that want desperately to ban pets forever, so please follow these rules, so they don’t have any more reason to force this to happen.

PROHIBITED BREEDS: Chow Chow, German Shepard, Pit Bull (or mix), Presa Canarios, Rottweiler.


No pet is allowed to defecate or urinate on any portion of the lawn or other common areas of the condominium property, even if the contamination is subsequently removed. Renters and owners must take pets off the Aqua Villa property for the pets to relieve themselves. A cleanup bag and cleaning materials must be used to pick up all waste and the bag disposed of properly in the Aqua Villa trash dumpster on the northeast edge of the property.

Pets left alone in the condo unit while the pet owners are away must be quiet. Incessant barking in a unit is disturbing to all guests. If your dog is expected to bark while you are away, we suggest you kennel your dog in the back bedroom where there is less visible activity to excite your dog, or muzzle it. Pets must be current on rabies shots, and flea/tick medications.

Local ordinances and condominium rules that prohibit dogs on the beach, in the pool, on the pool deck, in the elevator and on the parking lot must be observed. The beach rules are enforced by local authorities and hefty fines are imposed if pets are found on the beach. Try dog-friendly Liza Jackson Park on the bay, 388 Miracle Strip Pkwy SW, Ft. Walton Beach.

Pets are allowed on the Association common areas only while they are being escorted to or from a condo unit. At this time they must be under positive control, either on a leash or hand held. They are NOT allowed in or around the pool. They are NOT allowed in the elevator, unless CARRIED by their handler.

Pet owners carry the full responsibility for the behavior of their pets, and may be fined for violations. Pets may be removed from the premises if the pet owner is advised by the condo unit owner, the Association manager and/or the Board of Directors that their pet is:
a. In violations of the pet rules
b. Annoying in any way to other guests including barking within the unit
c. Threatening to other guests or residents

We have made minor changes in these rules to accommodate our particular circumstances. They do not change the essence of the Aqua Villa Condominium Association rules.
