It was our first experience at Latitude 29 in June, 2025
We would rate our overall stay at around 8/10 due to bathrooms had some hair left from previous tenants, sand in the twin recliner bed in the living area, also looks like our unit is in need of remodel soon with a moist swollen paint and moist smell behind king bed, sliding balcony door could use some love as well. Also a 2 separate gate codes by the time you get to the beach does not add a convenience when you're with a full hands..
Otherwise we really liked how it's a family friendly, no unnecessary and overwhelming staff involvement, quiet and right at the beach!
This was a long overdue beach retreat. Life has knocked us down the last few years and we havent been on a family trip in 6 years! The beach is gorgeous in this area, quiet and away from the crowds & chaos, but close enough to get there easily. Its an older building, but kept up well and you can tell the on site staff takes pride in their property. We love the area and hope to be back again...with more family next time!
Overall this is a nice location and condo. Amenities of the place were good. Parking is limited so can be a challenge getting a spot near your unit. The unit was clean, furniture was very comfortable and nice. A couple items that need work were the dishwasher didn't clean the dishes and the kitchen had very limited cooking utensils. The views from the porch and the access to the beach were great.
We always love staying in this unit. Weâve been coming for many years. This time was really mixed up. We had reserved for a 2 week stay. On the 4th day of our stay, my husband was admitted to the hospital. He spent a week of that time in ICU. He is still at the hospital in a long term acute care unit now after 12 days. I had to leave Latitude 29 today. I had called to see if Vacasa could extend my time. I thought we might make a workable arrangement considering the circumstances, but they could only let me stay until the next folks moved in. So I moved out, and didnât even get to stay there except to collapse into the bed late at night.
There are several maintenance issues Iâd like to report, and hopefully they will be resolved. That unit is too nice to let it fall apart!
* The shutter on the left side at the sliding door is off track.
* The ceiling in the bathroom off the living room seems to have water damage over the door.
* The tub in that same bathroom doesnât drain. I donât take long showers, but the water came above my ankles when I showered.
* The ice maker took about 5 days to fill up. I shook it every day to be sure the arm remained down to make ice.
* The storm door doesnât shut or lock.
* The peephole is too high to do any good unless youâre over about 6 feet. Iâm pretty tall for a woman, and I couldnât come near seeing out (maybe I could standing on a chair!)
Positive feedback - the bed is sooo comfortable!
Great location, Property needs updating, Vacasa not the best
I will first start with the positives....the location of this property is perfection. Located directly on the beach and just a short walk to the ocean. There is no ramp to the beach so this is not handicap friendly for beach access. Okay, now the negatives. Upon check in we did not have a parking pass in the room. There is tons of verbiage about not having a parking pass means your car will be towed. I walked over to the office, it was closed. I called Vacasa and they said they would get me one delivered to the room. I went to the office again the next morning and it was closed again. It took over 24 hours to get the parking pass, thankfully my car was not towed. The unit needs some updates. Several outlets did not work, the shower curtain had some mold on it, the vent in the main bathroom is disgusting, with black gunk and rust all over it. The pull out sofa did not have any sheets, and the sofa is pretty dirty. There are two nice leather like chairs in the unit though. There wasn't many pots and pans and cooking utensils, no pizza pans. The coffee maker we found in the closed had half a dead roach down inside it that I found when I was giving it a good cleaning. We did not see any other bugs though. I would definitely stay at this property again, but would not select this unit. That is my personal opinion.
Would not recommend for the money/ attention needed
Mold in and around all vents (Vacasa didnât care) and on front door and shower curtain, lamps and vents misc things very dusty, bathtub drain blocked. They 1/2 way repaired drain during our stay, which was good but a hassle and inconvenience with a handyman there right as we were about to get ready for dinner. Still the drain was not able to be entirely repaired without further work and shows it wasnât cleaned or maid would/should have already turned in a repair ticket before we got there. Many lightbulbs missing. One light fixture fell off the wall during our stay. Construction was going on during our stay which meant sanding and drilling at 8am directly on the other side of of bedroom wall, you could even touch the wall and feel it vibrate. Vacassa did not care or let us know beforehand. Also, this meant a huge construction dumpster we walked past over and over during our stay that people also used for regular stinking trash. We were asked to move our car one morning due to unrelated painting on a unit further down. A maid strangely showed up one day without any uniform or cart and said she was there to clean. She didnât speak English and I had to tell her we were not checking out that day. No extra blanks. Cable box in living room didnât work. Many outlets only work if the light was on. Felt as if we were staying at a cheap/bargain motel. Positives: Air was cold and blew strong. Master bed comfortable. & Of course great beach right in your backyard and uncrowded family atmosphere, as always, as this placeâs biggest value. Hopefully they will correct these easily correctable things they have âlet goâ in this unit.
The condo was nice and clean. We slept 6 very comfortably. The view was amazing from the balcony. The condo is located on the less busy side of Panama City beach and was perfect for our family. Will definitely be back.
The only issue I had was at check in. Code to unit didn't work resulting in a 45 minute delay in getting inside. Lock box malfunction. Once inside, everything was fine. Would stay again. Great area of the beach.
This is a great place to stay if you want to be away from the beach crowds. Our condo was nice and clean and ready when we arrived. We had a view of palm trees right outside our deck but we could also see the beautiful ocean. Our bed was comfortable and we didnât hear any outside noise or noise from occupied condos nearby. The weather was perfect for our short stay and we plan to come back for a full week in September. We enjoyed our relaxing stay very much!
We enjoyed our stay. It was very peaceful and convenient to town. Away from the crowd at PCB. The unit was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals and had plenty of room (4 ppl).
The only complaint I have is parking. It states you can have 1 vehicle per unit and must have a parking tag. There were 2 to 3 vehicles with no parking tag in the lot then entire week we were there. At times I had to park way down away from my condo, which was an inconvenience.
Excellent value for the money. Loved being right on the beach. Quiet. Very comfortable accommodations with roomy bedroom, comfortable bed, comfy couches, nice balcony. Did not have to go up or down stairs. Enjoyed the hot tub. Beautiful setting and no big crowds in this area, but not far to the more populated areas.
Only problem was the malfunctioning of the plug-in to the left of the kitchen sink!
Looks like something had been spilled on it?!
Very kind group of people to meet and a superb view of the ocean!
Awesome pool and hot tub!
Enjoyed our long weekend here, will definitely book again. Had another family from our large group event stay at the same complex and it worked out very well. Had each other over for meals; beach, pool & hot tub were great.
