Our recent stay at this property was extremely disappointing and frustrating. While the home had ample space for our large group, the overall maintenance and cleanliness were far below acceptable standards.
Able to accommodate 23 people comfortably. Spent good amount of time spent during our stay with family and friends. In bathroom, taps are delicate and knobs are coming out is only my concern. Apart from that overall stay is good
My close friend and I threw our birthday party cabin weekend here and it was the perfect house! We loved it so much we will definitely book here again!
Pros: Plenty of beds, Good location close to downtown Blue Ridge, Lots of refrigerator space, great for large groups, New BBQ grillCons: No hot water, trash left in garage, slow internet, Some of the TVs donât work. Lower floor has inconsistent heat, hot tub was not clean, Home is in disrepair
Overall stay was really good. We celebrated my momâs 80th birthday. Just a couple of things I would like to share the hot water on the upper level didnât get hot and the internet did not work. The cabin is very nice and spacious with plenty of space.
Large mountain home with enough amenities that we weren't on top of each other. Plenty of things to do in the surrounding area to keep everyone happy. Everyone said they were wiling to return.
Not responsive to messages.
One of the fireplaces in the bedrooms didn't work.
Heating doesn't reach certain bedrooms.
One bedroom is shown in the pictures but they don't give you a way to use it (it's locked)
I was worried after reading previous reviews but this home was perfect for our group. We had 4 separate households all staying together for our first family trip in years and there was more than enough space. Previous reviews mentioned work needing to be done but for our trip everything had been fixed and in great condition. We didn't use the two beds in the outdoor room but the space was really neat and would be great for older kids/teenagers. Our young kids enjoyed the arcade room the most, the only complaint was they couldn't find the darts or ball for the hoop but they quickly forgot and moved onto other games. The cabin was in the perfect location to town as well as being on the lake in a cute private neighborhood that felt very safe. The walk down to the lake was closer than I realized, view was gorgeous. Loved all the maze-like areas for the porch and I think this place would be great in the warmer months as well to get to enjoy the outside areas more. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely stay here again. We have already recommended the property to friends and hope to visit again soon.
Our overall stay was great. The guests before us put the trash in the garage, but not outside the house, however, it did get picked up the next day. Also the main living room TV did not work, they tried to replace it, but the one they brought was cracked right out of the box. That wasn't overly important. During our stay, on Friday, an electric circuit blew where the sauna is, and was not able to be fixed throughout the rest of our stay. We used an extension cord for the TV in the family/game room, because that TV was on the same circuit as the sauna. I'm sure it's fixed now. We walked down to the railroad tracks, but could not use the dock or bridge due to lack of repair. It would have been nice to fish there. Even with those things, our stay was great. We enjoyed having time together and also enjoyed the activities we had planned. Thank you for having properties that house our whole family.
Disappointing Stay Due to Poor Maintenance and Non-Functional Amenities
Our recent stay at this cabin was unfortunately very disappointing. The cabin itself had potential with plenty of space for our large group, but it was clearly not well-maintained. The stove and oven were completely non-functional, which made it impossible to feed our group of 14 as planned. When we reported the issue, management said theyâd send a service technician, but no one ever showed up. This left us with no choice but to grill outside for every meal, including breakfast. The grill was brand new however, we (a group of females) had to figure out how to assemble and connect the propane. Hundreds of dollarsâ worth of groceries went to waste, and we had to spend extra on food to make up for it.
Other maintenance issues were evident as well. The basement bedroom smelled like mold, likely due to a leaking sauna that had been neglected. The patio was littered with leaves piled about a foot high, showing a clear lack of cleaning or upkeep. The bed comforters were dingy and obviously in need of a good wash, which made us question the overall cleanliness. Additionally, the AC struggled to cool the entire cabin, leaving some areas uncomfortably warm.
Overall, I would not recommend this cabin. While it may offer plenty of sleeping space, the lack of working amenities and poor maintenance made our experience stressful and unsatisfactory.
I will be looking for a refund from Vacasa concerning the broken dishwasher. While we enjoyed the spaciousness and the setting of the cabin home, there were a number of items that were just unacceptable. The stove was very dirty and it took over three hours for the oven to reach a temperature of 350°. Two of the showers had lukewarm water, at best. Never warm enough for a shower. When we arrived, as you know, we were unable to get inside for over 30 minutes. The decks were covered with leaves and spiderwebs. You said they were blown off that morning, but if you look at the pictures, you can see that could not have happened. The maintenance person did come, but he was ill equipped to handle the problem. We had trouble with the TV as there was no sound. The maintenance man did come to fix it, but we did miss some football we were planning to watch. I understand that things break. If I had been informed as to the broken dishwasher and the stove problem, I could have planned better for the food and have brought more paper products since we had 16 people. I had not planned to wash dishes. If you need more information about any of these problems, please contact me. Oh yes, there were used towels hanging in one of the bathrooms and some clothes left on the floor of one of the bedrooms. We were not able to enjoy the hot tub as the first time it was used, the smell was so bad that the people could not stay in it. I guess that is enough for now.
Ran out of room plenty of out door Improvements needed
First let me say we really enjoyed our stay in the area, and the cabin worked well for our family of 13. With that being said I do not want to sound overly critical but there are numerous things in the cabin that need attention or improved on that could assure future visitors to return

If you're wondering about the "Conservatory" room, like we were, it is the small glass outbuilding on the deck. There is a bed in there, and then a steep wooden ladder going up to a loft on top of that with another build in there.
This house was huge and maze like. It could be a fun stay for a few families vacationing together. There was a lot of potential to it, big open rooms, lots of TVs, great dining seating in the house. Overall it was a great place to stay as long as you aren't looking for luxury.
It was not very well cleaned (there were ants all over the kitchen, especially the coffee area). The secondary fridge upstairs leaked into the rooms underneath it. And some of the bunk ladders were broken or unstable. There was also a missing porch rail outside with just a caution tape across it. I would caution anyone with small children that you have to watch over - it would be difficult to keep track of them.
We were a group of adults with disabilities and found it difficult to get around the house. The middle floor was always humid and damp because of the hot tub being inside the house. And the beds were oddly placed to be able to get to our whole crew and help each other. Also, if you have any mobility limitations, the stairs in this home are treacherous. The hand rails don't go all the way to the tops of the stairs, so folks had to lean dangerously far down to get their hands on the railings to take the first step. They are also steep and small. The lights outside didn't all work, so we had to have someone with a flashlight out there helping people get around the decks and steps at night.
The stay was enjoyable with the group I went with. But the floor boards outside kept breaking and was not safe for us. Which restricted us from fully having fun and feeling safe. Lights also did not work and the dishwasher needed to be fix while we were there
