Situated in a quiet village in rural Dordogne, this was exactly what we were looking for as a holiday to relax, read books, swim and explore the area. The gite had everything that we needed and the pool was a must during the heatwave. Kim was very responsive to any questions that we had and there were nearby property managers that popped over to regularly check on the pool. Loved the local pizzeria and wee shop for fresh bread in the morning.

This is a great property, the owner and housekeeper couldn’t have been more responsive, very helpful in providing our shopping for a late arrival. Property had everything we needed, lovely patio for evenings, big garden and a great pool which was very welcome in the intense heat wave. Tremolat isn’t one of the obvious dordogne locations but what an amazing village, so unusual to find such a variety of great places to eat in one location, car definitely necessary, only improvement would be aircon but that’s true of many gites in France that are the victims of global warming thanks for a great week

Charming gite in charming Tremolat

We had a wonderful holiday in Tremolat, the gite has everything you need and more, the pool and garden are fantastic. The property has a very welcoming charm about it, we are already looking at rebooking.

Perfect little gite with everything you need for a relaxing holiday in the beautiful Dordogne. Great restaurants just metres away but you need a car to explore the gorgeous area. The owner, kim, was really helpful. Will come again...loved it!

Gite was located in the middle of the village, just a couple of minutes walk to restaurants and grocery shop.It was very well equipped, with everything we needed, including a lovely welcome pack.Although we were there at the end of May/beginning of June the weather was very hot at times, so it was great to have use of the pool.

Lovely gite in a very quiet area. The gite was very clean on arrival and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. Lots of storage in the bedrooms and it was great having 2 bathrooms. As we stayed for 2 weeks we were provided with fresh linen and towels for the second week, which was really appreciated. The pool was excellent and very refreshing, especially as we stayed during a heatwave and the temperature was topping 38oC. We couldn't keep our boys out of the pool! The gite is very short walk (less than 5 minutes) away from the local shop and restaurants. We were lucky enough to attend a night market in the square, which is a great experience. A car is a must in order to visit the other nearby villages and towns.Unfortunately, because of the heatwave, the gite was very hot and uncomfortable at times. Fans were provided, which did give us some relief, but it is something to be aware of if staying in the summer months, especially with ongoing climate change. Also, the mosquitoes are an absolute nuisance. The gite owners have been really proactive by installing nets on all the windows, but when you go out you can get bitten even with deet on!Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the gite. Just wish it had been a little bit cooler!

Location, location, location

Everything was as expected with regards the accommodation. The location within a beautiful village was such a plus. We ate in the village most nights as the restaurants were just a short stroll up the road as was the bakery for our bread and pastries each morning. There were plenty of places to visit within easy driving distance and the lovely pool to return to. As the latter is heated by the sun it was a bit nippy in early June but was getting a bit warmer every day.

A lovely gite with an amazing warm pool in a picture-postcard village in the lower Dordogne.

As advertised. The gite is well equiped, enough room for a young family of four and a great base for exploring the dordogne valley. It has a large garden and a pool which is a godsend in the high temperatures. The gite is a 3 minute walk to the centre of Tremolat where we ate at the Bistrot and the highly recommended pizzeria which looks out onto the pretty square aswell as getting our lunch baguette and croisants from the friendly boulangerie. We recommend hiring a canoe from the village. Search out Peter!

Fabulous gite in a beautiful area

We had a wonderful week in Trémolat. The gîte was just on the edge of the village - a 2 minute walk to the boulangerie in the mornings. Lovely quiet location. Amazing pool! Lots of pool volley ball played by our family. Gîte was very well equipped. Would have been 5 stars if there was air conditioning as it was very hot when we were there and didn’t cool down much at night. Nonetheless the gîte is in a lovely location and close to amenities. Can highly recommend kayaking with Aquafun in nearly Limeuil. Also the treetop trek Aero park Perigaud was also great fun. The hosts were easily contactable if required and check in was a breeze. Highly recommend this gîte!!!

Fabulous Village

This is a great gite in a really beautiful village. It suited us perfectly having two en-suite bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The gardens are very large with a great in ground pool and excellent well equipped lounge area. There are a couple of restaurants , an upmarket hotel and Boulangerie in easy walking distance. But don’t expect a busy nightlife or shopping. We joined the village cafe for 2 e which has live music on Wednesday - it is a must for a very friendly night out with the locals and tourists alike. It had two food trucks at a reasonable price and the bar was exceptionally cheap. Virtually opposite the gite is the community boules and village hall and other facilities. If you like a quite rural life in a quaint Village this is a must for you. Easy reach of other pretty villages too.

Quaint Village

The owner Kim was fantastic. She was on hand the minute we booked. She provided us with details on how to access the property and everything to do with it. When we had problems getting there on time because of flight cancellation she was superbly supportive and helpful which helped to ease some of our stress. The property is on the edge of the quiet quaint village of Trémolat. Our immediate next door neighbour was friendly and made us feel as tho we already live there by telling us about the village night market and what to bring as well as other things in the area. The property is very clean and well equipped with a spacious garden and reasonably sized pool. I would definitely recommend this property to experience the Dordogne.

Lovely pool and gardens!

We spent an enjoyable week in Trémolat and exploring the surrounding areas. The pool was lovely and a welcome relief from the heat as well as a lot of fun for the kids. There is plenty to do for families within an hour’s drive (or much less), such as canoeing, cycling, Les Bois des Lupins, some pretty villages, the Lascaux caves, beautiful Sarlat and some castles. We had a couple of very nice dinners in Trémolat. The apartment was clean and generally well equipped for self-catering, although quite small. The only downside for us was the mosquitos. There are screens on all the windows and the back door, which were thankfully very effective at keeping them out of the house, but we were driven indoors from the late afternoons onwards as we were getting badly bitten. Other than that, the gardens are great and there’s plenty of space (including shaded areas) for the kids to play, as well as being peaceful and private. The owners communicated really well ahead of and during our trip and we had no problems at all during our stay.

Un gite agréable proche de la Dordogne

Un gite agréable par sa localisation au sein du village de Tremolat et proche de la Dordogne. Le jardin et la piscine sont les deux points forts. On regrette que l'intérieur soit pas un peu plus chaleureux, un peu plus soigné. Le garage est rempli de jeux, mais aurait besoin d'un sérieux coup de ménage.

Gite très agréable.

Juste ce qu'il faut pour passer de bons moments en famille. Je regrette juste que l'annnonce n'ai pas été assez explicite car nous avions compris que la piscine était chauffee mais la température ne dépassait guère 19 /20 degrés. Mais peut-être que si elle n'avait pas été chauffée ce serait vraiment froid. A part ça nous avons eu un bon accueil et le gite est très agréable. Je recommande.

Je ne comprends pas ce que vous avez raconte, car nous avons reste la semaine precedente avec les memes temps quand la temperature de la piscine n'etait jamais moins que 27 degres.

A recommander sans hésitation

Location conforme à l’annonce et aux photos literie au top 2 sdb avec wc très pratique et que dire de la piscine où nous avons passé de longues heures de bonheur. Merci également à Mme henry pour sa discrétion et son sourire quand elle venait vérifier la piscine chaque matin n’hésitez pas à aller lui rendre visite au mini golf !

Gîte très confortable et accueil très chaleureux

Séjour fort agréable dans ce gîte bien entretenu pour 4 personnes. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié de disposer d'une salle de bain et wc pour chaque chambre. Le jardin est fort agréable et la piscine à disposition. Quel plaisir d'avoir tout sur place : lits faits, draps changés au bout d'une semaine, produits pour les machines et condiments à disposition. Le plus remarquable est l'accueil que nous avons reçu et les attentions de nos accueillants. La seule petite déception était de ne pas disposer des chaînes de télévision française ( nos hôtes sont anglais) !!! pas très grave... Le fabuleux décor environnant a suffi à nous contenter les yeux

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Kim ist eine tolle Gastgeberin: Viele hilfreiche Tipps zu An- und Abreise, sehr nette Begrüßung, sehr gute Erreichbarkeit. Der große, private Garten und vor allem Pool sind traumhaft. Die Gite ist eher einfach aber sehr sauber und ordentlich und funktional gut ausgestattet. Die Lage im Ort ist top: Absolut zentral und doch ruhig. Eine optimale Ausgangspunkt zum Erkunden der Umgebung.
