Wonderful stay!

This is our second time staying at Maui Sunset and first time in this unit, and we loved it! The large lanai was incredible! Beautiful views and lots of room! Comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen, and great location!

Great Property and Great Value!

Loved the property. We had a few hiccups regarding check-in due to "laid back" communication, but nothing major. The property is very nice with a beautiful view, including wonder views of sunsets. A magnificent, private beach and lots to do around the property, plus the location is excellent.Only complaint is that the floors could use a better wash/mopping. Other than that, the suite was wonderful! Definitely would stay here again!

Perfect location

The property is beautiful. Lanai facing the ocean and pool area. Saw many whales from lanai. The condo is very comfortable. We had a small glitch with TVs and owner had it resolved in a few hours Highly recommend this place

Wonderful vacation spot in Kihei

My family really enjoyed our time at this beautiful and convenient location. With a kitchen, washer and dryer, balcony overlooking the ocean, we were so relaxed and had a great time here. Restaurants and grocery stores close by. Beaches just a short drive away. I would not mind coming back here again in the near future!

Maui vacation

The property was outstanding in all respects. The view of sunsets every night from the balcony was amazing. The pool and jacuzzi were a great break after a day of sightseeing all over the island. Without a doubt the best VRBO property we have ever stayed in.

Great location!

Awesome spot with a good vibe - easy to access all areas of the island. Traffic can be a bear so give yourself extra time to get places. Amazing sunsets from the lanai and beach area. Highly recommend this unit and location!

Better than expected

The host was very responsive and helpful. The condo was better than it appeared in the photos! The lanai is amazing. Really amazing. We spent the majority of our time there. We watched whales breaching in the ocean. Sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. Condo was clean and stocked with almost everything we could need. The pool and ocean were very easy and accessible. Check in and check out was easy. Highly recommend!! I would love to stay here again!

Sunsets on the beach!

Nice place to stay, conveniently near restaurants and shopping. Pool and hot tub area was clean and had no problem getting a chair at any time of the day. The free parking was much appreciated. Only issue was the limited use and cooling ability of the air conditioning, luckily it wasn’t too hot outside on the lanai so we spent most of time outside when there. Overall enjoyed the stay, and would recommend

Great view and location!

This condo was the perfect place for our family to use as a homebase to explore south Maui. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and the view from the lanai was exactly what I had hoped for! We loved the kitchen garden with herbs, the live music on Tuesday nights, and the pool. Walking on the beach in the morning we were lucky enough to see a lot of turtles, including one on the sand. The property manager was very responsive and addressed any issues we had very quickly. I would definitely stay here again!

Maui Sunset is amazing

what I appreciated the most was the cleanliness of our condo and the grounds. Every morning the pool and pool deck is cleaned with the most amazing detail. And the view...seriously the view is the best on the island. the condo was clean, very very spacious, lots of kitchen supplies and all the beach stuff you would need.

Love it

This is our second stay at Maui Sunset, first in this unit. Love the property.. waking up to over look the ocean and pool is priceless. There's lots to do on property and all of Maui is easy access from here. The unit itself is well set up, clean, bright and spacious. Deck (lanai) is huge. Would love to stay here again!

Paradise Found

This particular condo at Maui Sunset was spectacular! The location was steps from the beach and the grass/grounds were beautifully kept. The pool and its amenities were cleaned every single day and families enjoyed outdoor activities until late in the evening. The room was spacious and we had enough room to escape away from each other, if we needed. We cannot wait to stay at this exact location again. Thank you, Marilyn.

Amazing view off Lani

You cannot beat the view from the Lani! Sunsets are amazing and the grounds are kept very clean. The condo was perfect for our group, spacious, and location was great! Everything was clean and kitchen had all the basics needed. We were not there much since we were gone most of the day but always had to be back to watch the sun go down. It was whale season too... saw plenty of whale tails from the shore. Pictures are exactly how it looks. We enjoyed our stay!

Nice beachfront property

The overall resort was nice and clean. Pool was clean and great. It is beach front but the beach is not swimmable, too windy and rough water. It is more for walking. The room itself was ok but outdated. The bedroom door of the smaller guest room would not close all the way; after closing it, it would creak open. Good experience overall and would recommend.

Perfect location

I stayed at the Maui Sunset with my family of 5 (3 teens) and we had an amazing time. The location is perfect. There is a large lanai to eat breakfast on every morning with the view of the ocean. The location is near the pool and sports courts as well so it was easy to see my teens as they ventured out. The security guard (Jim) was fantastic. I had a 230am pickup for a sunrise tour with two of my children and he stayed with us until the bus picked us. He was always walking the grounds which made us feel even more safe in an already safe area. Lastly, Katie was very easy to get ahold of and quick to accommodate any needs that arose. There were beach chairs, pool towels and a pool floater for us to use which was really nice. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely search this condo if we make it back to Maui.

Perfect stay in Kihei!

We had such a great time and experience. The apartment/condo itself was perfect for our needs with the two rooms with AC, two bathrooms, nice kitchen and living room area. The Lanai was awesome, very large and usable and with an amazing view. We had as many meals out on the Lanai as we could. And, of course, the condo was super clean. Check-in and out were a breeze. The Maui Sunset complex was also amazing. Perfect location on a beautiful beach, and near local stores, food truck park, etc. We went for walks on the beach every day. The grounds were super well maintained and had lots of extras (pool, shuffle board, BBQ pits, etc). All around this was a perfect stay, and we will definitely stay here again if we ever make it back to Maui.

Convenient and clean

We loved where the condo on Kihei was one of our favorite things to do was sit on the balcony with our morning coffee. There was a great view of the ocean, it was away from the resorts, so we didn't feel like it was crowded and the balcony never really got bad direct hot sun. It was so pleasant. We loved the washer and dryer, the kitchen was very well stocked and I loved that the morning hour, the pool made priority to lap swimmers, while my husband and son loved the pickle ball courts just down a bit. My daughter slept her morning away in the quiet bedroom. My son also utilized the gym often. The condo was w/in walking distance to the 4th Friday street fair and morning coffee if I didn't feel like brewing my own. The beds were comfortable as well. Over all it was a great condo!

Perfect Location -- in building, and in Kihei

Our family, including two teenage daughters, stayed here for a week during June/July 2024. While the building has some age on it, you CAN NOT beat the view and the location. This location in the Maui Sunset property is one of the prime locations that faces out toward the ocean. The views in the photos in the listing are perfectly accurate. We loved that there is a park area right in front of the property -- so Kihei locals used the park, tennis courts, dog park, etc. We enjoyed the people-watching and seeing all of the cute pups, since we missed ours at home. The unit itself provided all that we needed. The AC in the bedrooms was very important to us and worked well. FWIW, the bedroom windows look out onto the outdoor walkway and so it felt odd to leave windows or drapes open to allow for a breeze. So we definitely used the AC at night when we went to bed. The lanai/balcony was nice, with plenty of seating, and was shaded and received a nice breeze for most of the day. We enjoyed coffee every morning out there. The beach out in front of Maui Sunset was perfect. Often oceanfront locations will have a nice view but the beach will be very rocky and hard/impossible to access. NOT TRUE here. You could walk for miles on the beaches in front of Maui Sunset and swim/snorkel/SUP all you wanted. There were turtles in the water with us almost all the time. There is also a lot of shade from trees overhanging the beach, which we loved. We'd definitely come back!

Great stay. Traveled to Maui with my 80 year old mother. We were both very comfortable in this suite, which has a front row seat to Maui sunsets. The grounds are spotless and just busy enough with people to make this a laid back and peaceful experience.
