While I had trouble contacting the property manager, the house was terrific! Kitchen was fully stocked with pots, utensils and baking ware. Beds were very comfortable. TV upstairs and in the living room. The yard was beautiful and the trees and shrubs made it very private. I would stay again and I recommend! You'll love it.
It was ok we.were so excited for a week away, the dining room floor wasnt clean, dirty silverware in the drawer, the bbq was dirty, the stairs are steep, narrow and slick my granddaughter fell down them 3 times and my daughter fell thought she. Broke her foot but didnt. The stairs really need the stair gripper stuff on them. It wasnt 1 min walk to the beach as stated in first description
Our stay in Seaside was fantastic. The house was perfect for the 3 of us. We were unable to get the jetted tub to turn on but other than that, everything was great!
The four of us are all 70+ folks. We loved the house, location, and the super support of the management team. They responded to our requests/questions immediately, including replacing the dishwasher on the spot. We would recommend this specific house, and the management team in a heartbeat! 100% A+.
We really enjoyed our stay, it was a great place for our family. Easy assess to the beach and down town. Older home but clean and tidy. Nice space for our entire family! Shelley was amazing, I had a couple questions and she got back to me very quickly!
Was a great weekend. The house work great for us. Would definitely rent it again. The only issue we had was ants. You might want to do a ant treatment.
Seaside in April. Chilly. Rainy. Windy. Wet. But cozy, lovely, fantastic weekend in this spotless, spacious, well-appointed, quiet and cute getaway. So much room - room for everyone to socialize in the same area or to get away and have a breather (nap!) in a completely different space, or even split off into small groups. Grab the captain's quarters if you can! Highly recommend.
Itâs hard to say anything negative about this residence because there are so many positive things about it:
Close to town
Close to the beach
More than enough room
But I wanted to let people know there were a few things that could be changed:
1. The beds were the most uncomfortable things weâve slept on. There was one good bed and that was not in the master.
2. The couches - when you sit in them they are so bad that you are basically sitting on the ground and they are very difficult to get out of. I wouldnât want an elderly person to sit on the couch because they would most definitely struggle getting out of the couch as it sucks you into the black hole.
3. Ants - if you are cooking in the kitchen be careful putting any food out next to the stove. Ants will most definitely be on your food.
If you are someone who has food allergies and has to cook most of your own food, I would bring your cooking utensils or pans that you prefer because there isnât a ton to choose from. Some of the pans have the coating flaking off them.
We loved the location and layout of the home. The owner and property management company were fantastic to work with - extremely responsive, professional, and pleasant. It would have been perfect except for a couple major issues. Other than the master, the beds were terrible and noisy - making it impossible for everyone else to sleep well. Every teensy move squeaked and we are normal sized, resilient folk. A topper on these will not do; it'll still squeak.
The ants are not the kind that renters attract by leaving food out, but rather moisture ants. Presumably, they are eating rotting wood in the sub-floor in the center foundation beam of the house from the entry straight through the mud room all the way through the kitchen. No ant bait or trap will solve this problem. And it was awkward stepping over the ant line running through the middle of the house. Even after stepping on all of them, they would return a couple hours later. Determined little buggers. We did discover a tupperware dish under the oven on the left side...not sure if that was to collect drippings and/or something to do with the ants.
The house was very clean (except for exhaust vents/fans). You could feel warm vibes and memories here. It's like grandma's house - dated, but a lotta love.
This house was the perfect location in a very quiet neighborhood. A close walk to the beach and getting to town by car or walking was very easy.
Walking in, at first glance, the house seemed clean and well appointed though definitely decorated to the taste of the older guest....and I'm nearly 65 and it seemed out of date to me.
After walking around a bit, it was painfully obvious that the floors were not level in a lot of places, which wasn't really a big deal. It was a little disconcerting to come across an ant trap on the stairs and a few stray ants, but not a big issue.
We didn't walk around barefoot because the kitchen floor was a bit sticky (ew). The bed in the downstairs bedroom was leaning one way and very hard and small. And when the water was running in the upstairs bath, you'd swear it was going to come right through the wall in that bedroom. My husband slept there and I slept on the couch. My son and his wife slept in the biggest room upstairs and said the bed was very comfortable. The 2 teenagers could sleep anywhere so their beds weren't an issue. We did cook breakfast and dinner on Saturday night and found the kitchen quite lacking in utensils that were basic and the pots and pans were in worse condition than the ones we take camping.
All that being said our stay was very nice because we were together for a fun weekend and the issues were minor enough that the owner could get them all fixed in one day, aside from the leaning floors.
Wonderful. Lots of room, great yard. Easy walk to beach and town. Four bedrooms made taking a nap or a quiet read easy. Large table so all could eat together and play board games
We spent Thanksgiving in this house and it was totally comfortable. It worked very well for our group because we had one member who is mobility challenged and having a downstairs bedroom and bathroom with shower worked great! I wish it had been a little closer to downtown, but we just got some extra steps in:-)
Great location in a quiet neighborhood close to beach
This was a great home to stay in for a group of friends or family. It is in a quiet neighborhood close to the beach and boardwalk. It has plenty of space for guests. The house is a bit dated and was not very clean when we arrived (used a tip on bathroom floor, toilets not clean) but the home was very comfortable.
Nice home. Easy walk to beach, a little longer to downtown, restaurants and other things to do.
There were ants in the kitchen that didn't seem to respond to ant bait that was left.
Maintenance responded quickly when smoke alarm/carbon monoxide detector battery was low and beeping.
Short walk to promenade and beach. Everyone in the neighborhood was friendly and also enjoying the beach life. House is more spacious than it looked and was quiet even though there were 8 of us.
