Elisabeth home was very quaint and walkable to Bayeux which was a beautiful village in Normandy and had a garage. We used it for 6 nights as a base camp to see everything in the Normandy region. The beds were comfortable with a great living room and dining room and all the kitchen amenities.
Perfect location and plenty of room for your vacation
Within 5 minutes of walking you're downtown with all the cafes nice shops and some tourist traps. We enjoyed our stay very much. Lots to see in Bayeux and the rest of Normandy (you have to visit Le Mont St. Michel!). Spacious house, good kitchen and lots of living space.
We absolutely loved our stay! We were able to go the farmers market for Easter dinner. It's clean, quiet, convenient. Like being home! We look forward to visiting again!!!! Thanks Elizabeth đ
The stay at the property was awesome, it met all of our needs. The only draw back was the beds and pillows werenât the bestâŠotherwise facility was great! Make sure u have a small compact car for parkingâŠ
Elizabeth was very welcoming on our arrival and the gite was perfect for our stay in Bayeux. The centre of Bayeux is just a short walk away and the gite itself is located in a quiet street. The bonus was the use of a garage that could house an average size car or even a couple of motorbikes.
Excellent property better than pictures shown. Elizabeth welcomed us and provided good info on Bayeux. Separate toilet was good for four of mixed genders and standard of fixtures and equipment was very high.
Perfect house, perfect location will make a delightful stay.
Could not have been more pleased with this excellent property. Clean spacious house with a beautiful yard. Downtown Bayeux. Easy walk to the center of beautiful Bayeux. Bedrooms are nice size. Full kitchen makes it easy for cooking. The owner was wonderful to work with. I would definitely stay at this property again. It was one of the best parts of my stay. If your are going to Bayeux stay here!
A comfy garden apartment a short walk to town & the train station. Would have enjoyed insect screens on the doors to enjoy the wonderful fresh air of Bayeux. Also missed bathroom amenities like hand soap, shower gel and shampoo - the bathroom cabinet was filled with empties đ
This house was exactly as described and shown in the photos and was exactly what we were looking for. Lovely and bright, well-equipped and the location was perfect. So quiet and tranquil, but a mere 5 minutes walk to the tapestry. The hill on the return walk from the town was difficult for us as we have one person in a wheelchair, but don't let that put you off.
The Bayeux area is superb too. There is so much to do. I highly recommend visiting this part of Normandy and when you do, definitely stay in this house.
This was a nice property, all on one level which is great, with all the necessary equipment and furnishing and facilities you could need. Elisabeth, the host, is very welcoming and helpful.
Only thing I would say is the road outside and the garage are both very small, so be careful as it is all a bit tight. If you have a car any bigger than a Land Rover (which we have) it could be a bit hard.
It's a quiet part of town, but is in walking distance of the town centre and all the amenities that are there.
Hidden gem woven in the tapestry of a delightful city
This is the ideal property, a joy to discover after a long drive to visit Bayeaux and Normandy, a perfect place to stay - close to the City (very close to the Bayeaux Tapestry museum and the cathedral), and yet easy to escape for tours of the Normandy beaches, the many D-day museums, and other cultural and gastronomic delights which the region offers. The property is hidden down a tiny lane and behind a nondescript wall; but it is modern and well appointed, cosy and with everything you need. Thoughtfully there are cycles, making the morning dash for croissants a pleasing wind-swept adventure. Your host - and we loved her artwork adorning the walls - is friendly and helpful and kept in good communication with us for both our arrival and departure. We loved Bayeaux and the region. We think one day we will visit once more. If we do, we know where we would like to stay - so if you are a family of 5 wanting to visit this historic region, try staying here if you can: you won't be disappointed.
This house is in a great location to use as a base for Normandy. Once you find the narrow street, it is easy to get to and in a quiet neighborhood. The house and garden are beautiful. The only downside was that the wifi did not work very well, but that may have been due to street repairs. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. We would return here.
The house was great. Location was perfect. GPS wasnât as good as it should have been. If we came from another direction maybe we would have found it easier. Elisabeth was great with helping us. No complaints. Wonderful experience for us old people đ
Ideal location for the town and close to D-day beaches. It was lovely and clean and had everything you need including bikes! It was lovely to sit in the garden listening to the church bells.
