we are a family of four (two 65-year-olds) and stayed for three days. This place is very spacious and two roads in front of the house get you to the downtown area easily. This is a small town, 5-8 mins walk get you to most places. We even walked to the Bayeux museum of the battle of Normandy (30 min very slow relaxed walk). We were able to use the laundry, microwave, and stove. Takes a min to understand how to use them: the stove "flashing H" means hot surface. The communication with the owner was very smooth and she responses pretty fast. We are so glad that we came here in low season.
Elisabeth home was very quaint and walkable to Bayeux which was a beautiful village in Normandy and had a garage. We used it for 6 nights as a base camp to see everything in the Normandy region. The beds were comfortable with a great living room and dining room and all the kitchen amenities.
The stay at the property was awesome, it met all of our needs. The only draw back was the beds and pillows werenât the bestâŠotherwise facility was great! Make sure u have a small compact car for parkingâŠ
We absolutely loved our stay! We were able to go the farmers market for Easter dinner. It's clean, quiet, convenient. Like being home! We look forward to visiting again!!!! Thanks Elizabeth đ
Hidden gem woven in the tapestry of a delightful city
This is the ideal property, a joy to discover after a long drive to visit Bayeaux and Normandy, a perfect place to stay - close to the City (very close to the Bayeaux Tapestry museum and the cathedral), and yet easy to escape for tours of the Normandy beaches, the many D-day museums, and other cultural and gastronomic delights which the region offers. The property is hidden down a tiny lane and behind a nondescript wall; but it is modern and well appointed, cosy and with everything you need. Thoughtfully there are cycles, making the morning dash for croissants a pleasing wind-swept adventure. Your host - and we loved her artwork adorning the walls - is friendly and helpful and kept in good communication with us for both our arrival and departure. We loved Bayeaux and the region. We think one day we will visit once more. If we do, we know where we would like to stay - so if you are a family of 5 wanting to visit this historic region, try staying here if you can: you won't be disappointed.
A comfy garden apartment a short walk to town & the train station. Would have enjoyed insect screens on the doors to enjoy the wonderful fresh air of Bayeux. Also missed bathroom amenities like hand soap, shower gel and shampoo - the bathroom cabinet was filled with empties đ
Perfect location and plenty of room for your vacation
Within 5 minutes of walking you're downtown with all the cafes nice shops and some tourist traps. We enjoyed our stay very much. Lots to see in Bayeux and the rest of Normandy (you have to visit Le Mont St. Michel!). Spacious house, good kitchen and lots of living space.
Excellent property better than pictures shown. Elizabeth welcomed us and provided good info on Bayeux. Separate toilet was good for four of mixed genders and standard of fixtures and equipment was very high.
